Hi ladies!! I usually take B6 when i'm TTC.When I swayed with DD#2(i swayed blue & failed) I stayed away because I was told it sways PINK but in the end I took it because I just wasn't getting pregnant.I think I read on this site it sways blue? I have a short LP so I know it helps me conceive BUT i don't want to mess up my sway. Any thoughts??? I'm a little confused!

thx D! it must have been other factors that messed up my sway and not the b6.

No problem. I don't think b6 makes or breaks a sway it was just something I wanted to take to lengthen my lp a little

I took b6 to lengthen my cycle this time, I had no idea it could be a factor in swaying though I didn't sway this time. I did stop taking it a couple of months before I got my bfp though, do you think that was long enough to not have an effect? I am hoping for a girl.

Yes, it should have been gone by then, it's a water soluble vitamin and leaves your body quickly.

It hardly ever comes down to one thing like that. :) No magic bullets. If you need the B6 you should def. take it. You may have read this already but it wasn't just us who came to that conclusion, another sway site has also dropped it because they thought it was contributing to opposites (pink swayers getting boys)

I remember on IG that B6 supposidly was a "heavy hitter" for a PINK sway. now, i'm not so sure!!

I was taking B-complex (50 mg) twice a day when I got my boy. I think that anything that adds nutrients probably sways blue. I wasn't taking ANY vitamins when I conceived my girl :)

I have never taken B6 before but am wondering if I shouldn't start to help my cycles get longer after D&C in February? Since then I have had 23 and 24 day cycles, before that always had perfect 28 day cycles, so it REALLY messed me up and I am sure that it is why we aren't getting pregnant. Anyone with advice on this? If so, how much should I take? I just started AF today, could I take it starting today or when do you start taking it? How soon would it work? Any advice would be helpful!
ONE more thing...if my prenatal has B6 in it, is it OK to still take an extra B6? Or should I adjust with the amount that I am already getting and the extra amount. Obviously the prenatal isn't helping with the cycle length.

Honestly I'm not a huge fan of extra B6 because the doses they sell it in are so freaking huge. And IU'm not even sure it works, I think most people find their LP gets better in 3 months with B6 and a quarter of a year without it. THere is usually a very nice amount in a prenatal and I'd prob. just stick with that, but if you want to give it a try, start off with the lowest dose you can find. Don't take more than 100 mg and once you get BFP, wean off gradually, don't just quit it cold turkey.
Best thing for your LP is saturated fat and lots of rest.

I am having trouble with sufficient progesterone in the LP so I thought I would give it a try this month.
I read somewhere that B6 can help the progesterone. I don't necessarily need to lengthen my LP, its 14 days right now, but I seem to have many signs of low progesterone which is why I kept having miscarriages when TTC DD2 and why I seem to be having a hard time getting a BFP this time around.

Yes, it's said to help progesterone but it takes months and months to do it (and most of the time, your LP will have fixed itself by then anyway) and only works if the reason a person has low progesterone, is because of or related to ahving low B6. If you are on an extreme low fat diet and weigh 75 lbs, you can take all the B6 in the world and it won't help.
A 14 day LP is good. Have you had a blood test to confirm low prog?? Even if you had it in the past, it doesn't necessarily mean that's what is going on this time. B6 is all good for blue sways though IMO. (and pink swayers please take note, a mom with DD who has had low prog. so it cannot be as cut and dry as some of the sway sites claim - low prog does NOT = boys)

How long does the b6 need to take effect? If we are trying this cycle, is it useless to add it in now?

The concern with adding it in, is that at first it can mess up your cycle, esp. if you don't need it. If you do feel that you need it, I would find the lowest possible dose rather than jumping in at 100 mg. (is it in your prenatal/multi already???)

There is 1.6mg in my prenatal. I have used it before (B50 complex), but then had a m/c. My lp is 9 days and have always had positive tests before then, so I'm not sure if it is something I need or not.

That is plenty. I would not think you are one of the people who need it, in that case. The HE Diet has quite a lot of good sources of B6 in it.
