My Hubby and I really want a boy for our first. I am so thankful that I FINALLY found this website. I've been doing a ton of research on the boy diet and everything boy but I am concerned because both my hubby and I are primarily vegetarian with a once in a blue moon meat eating.
If any of you ladies that are vegetarian or have any really good suggestions as to what is the most important thing for me and DH to eat and do would be BEYOND greatly appreciated!!!
Both my DH and I have both been eating a ton of nuts and bananas and apples and veggies. I've been drinking warm lemon water every morning and 1 maybe 2 cups of green tea every day.
We are both on multi vitamins and He is also on L-Argenine, Red Yeast Rice and Royal Jelly...
Am I missing anything or is there things I really need to add or be aware of?
Thanks for any and all help ladies I really appreciate it ALL!!!!!
XOXOX

My vegetarian friend who's a mum of two boys (naturally conceived at 40 & 42) swears by b vitamins and fish oil for helping to conceive. She eats a lot of puy lentils and other pulses and grains though and is a bit overweight. Hth

I conceived my son on a primarily vegan diet so it's possible! My diet was very rich in super healthy foods. I ate a lot of organic and not processed foods and walked everywhere carrying heavy loads in my backpack and always had a strong apatite. I used to constantly snack on things like granola bars, fruits and nuts. I *never* drank soda at all and used to down 3-4 cups of green tea every day. I never skipped breakfast which was always a whole grain bagel without anything on it or fresh fruit. I liked to get vegetarian burritos piled high with guac and beans for lunch or tofu steaks with grilled veggies. I think soy sways blue for me so I completely cut it from my diet for months when I was swaying for my daughter. The jury is still out on whether or not it sways pink or blue it seems.
I also ate *lots* of cereal with organic soy milk. Dinner was usually 2 bowls of cereal with soy milk and I always had something for dessert like a vegan ice cream for example.
If you need help or ideas feel free to PM me. Good luck on your boy sway.

WOW!!! Thank you all SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much! You are all so sweet!!!
I am deffinently going to be eating "boy" food Veggie Style!!! fingers crossed that if we ever get pregnant its a boy!!!
I just got our results back from my Dr (HSG and Sperm Analysis) and I have a slight abnormality of my endometrium, and DH has low morphology (only 2%) So it looks like we have more problems than just hoping for Blue!

my cm was always like that too. Fish oil, green tea, lots of water and mucinex all helped me get EWCM

I had a girl and two boys on my veggie diet. But with my girl I had been on a diet, limiting my calories and taking no prenatal vitamins as I ha dnot planned on getting pregnant ;) With my boys I ate very healthy, lots of eggs, cheese, real butter, nuts, fruits and vegetables. I also took a high dosage of B12 and other pregnancy vitamins. We DTD every other day, which appareantly also sways blue. Good luck, you have a good chance at your blue bundle of joy!

Hi! We still get plenty of pink sway opposites even on vegetarian diets. It is TOTALLY possible to have a boy even if you are a vegetarian.

I think you should also add weight lifting in your sway and eat tons of proteins (eggs) and healthy satured and unsatured fats (nuts, butter). Also, don't let you bloodsugar drop, so eat many times a day.

HI KK84,
Best of luck with your Veggie sway. I am living proof that it can be done. I know cinss posted the link to my sway but here are the highlights of my diet.
This is what I did
I really upped my protein intake and made sure that I was getting at the very least 70g per day but most days it was about 80-90g. I also lifted weights and gained muscle mass. Eating the 9 portions of fruits and veg that atomic recommends is easy for us veggies and I usually was over. I also included full fat dairy in my sway as per the HE diet.
I didn't do any of the traditional drinks like V8, Gelatine drink etc.
I did take fish oils but Udo's oils are a good veggie compromise.
This one isn't diet related but I think it is an important one. I used Preseed as a top up to my own EWCM and there has been a lot of sucess with boy swayers using this.

Pearl's last post was great! Lots of protein and full fat dairy will be helpful for you in our sway diet KK. Avocado may be another good choice for you as it's so rich in fat and calories. I ate tons of it when I conceived DS.

I would do full fat dairy and eggs if that's okay for you. Also agree with the fish oil.
I would also do lots of fats - coconut oil, olive oil, etc. You could do curries and things with full fat coconut milk.
I agree that lots of protein is good :)

I have been a lacto ovo vegetarian for 20+ years and although I didn't sway for them I had 2 boys. I was ttc and ate very healthy lots of beans and dairy for protein and lots of good nutrient veggies , fruits, and whole grains. Also I had a lot of muscle and high T. Good luck!
