Hi, not sure where to post this, but I've been reading that it is very common for HCG levels of baby girls to be higher than baby boys in general and this can be detected fairly early on but not really a sure predictor of gender, just one of many.
Any thoughts on this or more research? Is this true for anyone?

PLEASE please please don't read anything into this. It is ever-so slightly true, in the way that men are on average taller than women - but that doesn't mean that there aren't many men who are shorter than many women just like there are many boys who have higher hcg than many girls.
I have seen tons of people despairing over the darkness of their preg tests and obsessing over beta numbers and you simply cannot tell a baby's gender from those things.

Thanks Atomic. I think I'm just looking for anything during the TWW.... I can only imagine I might be even more impatient if I get a BFP soon. I should just try to relax................. :nails:

I know, I totally understand. People message me fairly often panicking that the darkness of their preg. tests indicates the gender of their baby and that's just not true at all. Even betas cannot be used for that purpose. No one should rejoice or despair over those things. :)
