I'm currently on meal replacement diet which is 700 cals and veggy most of time sometimes have chicken but not often but I ate chicken when I conceived my dd.
I'm planning on coming off this 6 weeks before my attempt and doing girl diet but I'm worried I will increase my weight alittle which is only natural after a low cal diet and it effecting my sway. Or do I stick on this or do u think nutrience will sway blue to much?

700 cals a day? thats extremly low and unhealthy and could make your body stop ovulating

yes i agree that 700 is very low ! but what other option does she have if she ups calories now it will more than likely sway blue ? it's likely that your metabolism has slowed down quite a bit to compensate for your low calorie intake. If you were to up your calorie count now, you'd obviously gain weight,
i would stick to 700 but not do any excercise at all , drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and ttc that lil girl ASAP !
700 calories a day longterm can be harmful !
only other thing i could suggest is uping calories to 1000-1200 but do lots of cardio to burn them off !
sorry but that's all i got
Good luck

thanks a&jmummy I do drink a lot of water you have to on this and don't exercise another thing is vlcd make you very fertile.

Wow I really do not recommend that low a caloric intake. If that's all you are eating PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE eat chicken, you will not be able to get enough protein otherwise. I am assuming (hoping) that the veggies and chicken are in ADDITION to the 700 calories and that you are doing this under the advice of a doctor or dietician.

The amount of difference in nutrients between 700 and 1200 calories is really minimal, regardless of if it sways pink blue or plaid, you need to increase cals to a safe level to sustain a pregnancy and 700 cals is not enough to do that, and it's for sure not going to be enough protein to do that.

If you are following some sort of meal replacer with vitamins in it, then actually you will prob. end up getting less nutrients by going onto diet, becasue some of them are highly fortified.

the other option is to go onto the diet and start intense exercise to make up for any difference in caloric intake

It's like Cambridge diet don't know if you have that over there it's medically approved and has all vits and carbs etc i need. But it was only temp to lose the weight but I intended to do girl diet for 6 weeks before ttc do u think that is best option if I do gain back some will that be a stronger sway blue or will it not make a heap of difference

what is your weight and bmi at the moment ?

I would go 50% meal replacement and 50% LE. Those plans are very high in nutrients (they usually include your full RDA). If you continue at 700 your body will go into starvation mode so that when you go onto LE it will hold onto all the calories it can.

did you start the vlcd at 700 a day or lower ?
i mean have u worked you way up to 700 kals?
from what i understand you start the diet at 400-450kals a day for 8-12weeks then add 200-300kals a day .

Not on this one you stick at 700 cals till you are ready to maintain then add food slowly.
My BMi is now 27 and I weigh 11.9 from 14.0
People do vlcd and manage fine for months it's medically oked. What I need to know is am I gonna sway blue by staying on this or coming off.

Emily maybe the refeed plan could work then as I'm coming off do refeed so I'm ready to maintain then if not pg first month which is unlikely go onto girl diet. I think refeed takes you up to 1000 cals or more and it helps you not put it back on.

you have put your body in starvation mode so that it processes your fat stores ...so in that way it would sway pink
but you have lots of fortified vitamins and nutrients wich would sway blue
so 50/50 on your actuel diet .
now if you come off that diet now up your calories , you will be improving maternal condition and sway blue .
the only way to do it would be start LE diet but do lots of cardio .

weight loss sways pink / weight gain or sustained sways blue

That's a tough one I think I'm setting myself up to fail either way maybe I need to come of this refeed while delaying ttc then start le diet. Did research on site of my diet and its pretty even on gender slightly more girls but not enough for me to think it would work. Looks like my only option is to delay ttc or not sway.
Thanks for all your advice

I think you should increase your condition a bit because in your present situation you're unlikely to get pregnant. I don't think it would sway blue if you've been on your current diet again because your body will most likely think pink is the best bet. :)

Do they know you are planning on TTC on it? There is a huge difference between just losing weight quickly and being safe to sustain a pregnancy. There are chemicals that can be released by rapid weight loss that are harmful to a developing fetus (stored toxins and ketones).

The advice of reproductive endocrinologists is 1500-1800 cals, 20-30% fat, is safe for pre-preg weight loss and all women of reproductive age should be getting 40-50 g protein a day for healthy pregnancy.

No one can really answer that question. We just don't know and it may be different for each individual anyway.
