I am 5'4 and am currently on WW. I lost 7 lbs so far, I am down to 123 and will start jogging 6 days a week next week.

I have not started the full girl diet yet, because I am a little worried about losing too much weight. Anyone else afraid of this? I don't want to look anorexic.

Yes Iīm afraid that if I loose to much I wonīt ovulate. Iīm 5ī4 and 118.8 now.
My lowest weight was 114 after Bf my son for a year and I think I still ovulated then, had EWCM, but I didnīt temp or take OPK.
I decided to eat a little bit more now, only more carbs and fruits, still low protein and low fat.
My first attempt will be in early July, so I hope to loose just a little bit more in these two months so that I have some weight left in the summer andI hope it wonīt take to many months to get pregnant!

I am 5'5" and weigh 114 now. I'll allow myself to get down to 110 but that's my limit. A yr ago, I weighed 136 but lost it after a few mos of food logging. I'm hoping this weight loss will help as I was about 136 when conceiving DS#1 and 140 w/DS#2. I'm hoping I can keep my cycle up this at that low weight but if not, I'll have to eat more (which may backfire on me since it'll probably sway boy). W/my sway, I'm hoping to get preg within the next few mos so I'm crossing my fingers!

Good luck to you all on your sway!!!

This is a concern of mine. I lost a bit of weight on the diet, got pregnant, but m/c. :( When I went to the doctor I discovered that I'm down to 115, and I'm almost 5'7. I'm usually fairly thin, between 120-126ish, but I don't really feel like this is a healthy weight for me. Not sure how to proceed with my diet and swaying. :(

If you are losing too much weight, eat more. It's ok. Eat more at meals and even add in an extra meal if you feel you need to. Then cut back during the 2 WW to keep your blood sugar a little on the low side.

I STRONGLY urge you guys to get pg quickly and not mess around too much with timing, that way you will get the benefits of the diet without having to stay on it for too long.

I have the same thinking. So then do you recommend BD straight through? Doing Deanna's plan? Doing one month of a 2 day cut off then the next month doing Deanna's plan or BD straight through?

I didn't realize that low blood sugar during 2ww was so important. Now feeling guilty that I somehow caused my m/c because I slacked on diet a bit during 2ww. :( Does that mean you should also continue with the diet throughout the first trimester? Would suddenly higher blood sugar make a m/c more likely? I wouldn't think the girl diet would be very healthy for the baby during the first trimester.

Thanks for the feedback and clarification.

I donīt think so, the low blood sugar seems to be important up to implantation, so I guess once you have a BFP you donīt need to stay on the diet.

I donīt think thatīs the reason of your miscarriage. I donīt know how far along you were, but if you had a BFP the implantation had already occured so the slacks donīt matter.
I was looking for an explanation too when I had a mc between my boys, thinking of what I could have done differently, but in most cases it just happens because the embryo wasnīt well developed.

Iīm wondering too what to do. I was looking at charts on Fertility Friend and with girl pregnancies there were sooooo many people that Bd through O or had a 1 day cut-off! So Iīm planning on doing a 1 day cut-off, if O gets delayed it will be a 2-3 day cut off, with which I will be fine the first month.
I did get pregnant on first attempt with both my boys i think on O, but I had a lot of EWCM then and now it dried up, so I feel aiming at a 3 day cut-off to start with will make it hard for me to get pregnant and that means other months of diet:sad:
Itīs a risk, I guess I will find out afterwards how much timing matters for me and DH.

Thanks for the feedback and clarification.NEVER feel guilty about m/c because there is no way of knowing the hows and whys. Most people don't even know about the low blood sugar, it's new info from only the last couple of years.

NO, you don't need to continue with the diet past the 2WW - once the baby has implanted in the uterus it is getting its nutrients from elsewhere and it's no longer as affected by the sugar in your CM.

Most babies of either gender can survive in a wide array of environments, sugar, no sugar...it may be that a few beans who are a little undersized can get a boost by a good environment and it just helps them to grow and implant.

I completely agree, if you have no/little CM, you may not be able to get pg at all with a 2-3 day cutoff. Limiting the amount of time you ahve to be on that infernal diet is worth the risk (at least in my mind!) because timing just seems to have so much conflicting info about it.

My plan was to do frequent BD through O but then I had an oopsie. Since then, I've come to think (based in part on the Minerva's Mommy blog from IG) that a one-day cutoff, either with frequent BD or abstaining, seems to be a good compromise between BD through O and longer cutoffs.

But I do like Deanna's Plan for increasing odds of pregnancy.

Yes, I am worried about losing too much weight. I actually have struggled with an eating disorder in the past---but was very healthy when I conceived both my sons (125 pounds, 5'4). This diet worries me because I don't want to "go back there" for very long. I "want" to say it's worth it if I get my baby girl, but I also don't want to cause myself to be unhealthy again.

Mindy, in that case it is prob. best for you to just hold steady where you are and focus on lower protein instead and be more strict about things like jellies, sperm count, and timing. I do not want you to risk your health for swaying.
