Hi Carole,

Another question! The embryo we transferred rated as normal by the 24 probe testing (GSN) we had performed. Will this effect the likelihood of the embryo continuing to develop in utero? It was a compact morula at the time of transfer. Not sure if it matters or not but we did have other embryos who had already reached the blast stage, all were abnormal except for one and it was a male. Does this embryo have a good chance of implanting since it passes the 24 probe testing?

Having a normal GSN result certainly doesn't hurt embryo progression and the chances of implantation. On the other hand, genetically abnormal embryos can develop to blastocysts and you can't tell the difference, so it's great to be able to avoid transferring the abnormal blasts and being disappointed later. Sorry I missed your question before. :) Best Wishes, Carole
