Macie Anne has a lovely flow and feel to it, such a pretty feminine name! Anessa's a bit of a mouthful IMHO and sounds as if the V is missing at the start :hide:

I absolutely LOVE the name Anessa, I had a very close friend named Anessa when I was growing up and I always adored her name, so for the last 15 years I have been set on naming my daughter Anessa. I had never even considered another name and never bothered looking at any other names either. However, when I was about 13-14 weeks along, I was sleeping soundly, not thinking or dreaming about babies at all when all of a sudden I was awakened by the name Macie Anne, it was like someone said it OUTLOUD to me and that is what woke me up! It was a really neat experience because it was like I was being told that is what her name was. The thing was I didn't know the gender yet so I tried to ignore this experience. I was told boy at my elective gender scan a week later, I cried and then tried to move on with my planning of a life with 4 awesome little guys but I couldn't shake this experience. I kept telling DH that I believed the tech but that that experience was so real I didn't understand why that happened if it was a boy. Well at my gender scan with the dr at 21w I was told girl for sure, so now I know why I couldn't let go of that experience. So now I'm torn between a name I've had picked out for 15 years And a name that came to me through a neat experience. DH believes it was just a dream and no big deal that obviously my mind must have been on babies. He doesn't really believe the experience means anything and likes the name Anessa better. I generally lean more toward Macie but its hard to let go of Anessa after hAving it picked out for so long!

Yeah Anne is a must middle name though because its my middle name, my mom's middle name and my mother in law's middle name and since she will be my only daughter, she has to have Anne as a middle name.

That's a lot of names! DH would never go for it. I'm fairly certain it will be Macie Anne because I really feel that name came to me for a reason. I had never even heard the name Macie before and then it just came to me in my sleep, so I just need to convince DH

It is funny how a lot of us go through both extremes when trying to name a baby - periods where we have too many names, or not enough names!
