Weeks 16

Hello,

We went for our week 16 checkup on our twins and the doctor guessed the gender. I attached two pictures i am not sure if those are both for the same baby or both. He did not label them baby A and baby B so i can't tell. Given the attached pictures, what is your guess?

Look like they are both girls. They're very dark but that's what I think I see.

I agree the pics are dark but they do both look to be girly

First pic looks rather girly to me. Second I am not certain. Looks more girl than boy though. If the tech said two girls, I think it's prolly two girls :)

First ultra sound at 11 weeks the doc guessed 1 girl and 1 boy, but was not sure about the boy. The second scan at 13 weeks 1 girl and the other had legs crossed. 3rd time at 16 weeks which was few days ago we saw another doc at the same clinic as our doc was not available and he said 2 girls. Funny, he asked us after the second one what did the other doctor say? I said boy. He said oh well i see two girls and i am 95% sure. We were really hoping for a boy and a girl. As long as the babies are healthy, we are happy :)

That's frustrating isn't it! But at 16 weeks it would be far more accurate than the previously. Do you have any other scans coming up to confirm? Did you sway?

I am starting to beleive that both are girls :) Can readings change afterwords or is 16 weeks accurate? Why did the doctor say 95% and not 99 or 100% if he was so sure?

Hi, scans are never 100%, we were told at our 20 week scan we were having a girl, arrived very much a boy - dressed in pink however :wink:

i took picture two again with flash. To me, this picture looks more like a boy. The other one is deifnetly a girl. What do you guys think? Is this pic more clear and what's your opinion?

First pic definitely girl & second pic is hard to tell, but their is definitely no obvious boy parts.....I would be pretty confident if the doc said 95% sure it was two girls :) congrats!!

16 week is reasonably reliable, 20 weeks is better. With twins it's always a little difficult as they are more squashed in and can be harder to get in the right position for a clear shot. 95% is pretty high assurance, and the tech would have seen a lot more than us live rather than from pics.

Yes I did, still not. Very clear shot in the first place so I still can't tell. But think trust the tech. Are you likely to have a scan at 20 weeks?
