GenderDreaming is not just a forum site with forum software alone. It is a website that overtime, we can add different features. It was designed this way to enable something called Single Sign On. The big purple banner you see at the top is the "site" and the forums kind of sit in it's lap.
Recently, Chat was added for Dream Members. The site is smart enough to log members onto chat with one sign in on the forum page. So, you log in once, you can access everything. This makes things just a tic slower for some but the alternative is seperate sites or multiple logins and that just won't work.
This link will remove the banner at the top and just give you access to forums, the full-screen version: Forum Full Screen (http://genderdreaming.com/forum/)
If you need to get back to the main site with the banner from the Forum page, go alll the way to the bottom of GenderDreaming and there is a link at the lower right that says Gender Dreaming. That will take you back.
You can still access Chat from the Forum that appears for Dream Members and you don't need the big bar at the top to access that.
Also, from your phones, the Forum link (which if you look at the URL on your phone, just change it to /Forum/ instead of /the-forums/ ) will work better for you!
