Hi
I've read that BDing once and when I get a positive OPK will help increase conceiving a girl. My problem is I've tried OPK, BMT, change in cervix and CM but still can't pin point when I'm ovulating :(
Any tips or how I can do it better because I'm sure I'm doing something wrong.
Oh also been to DRs and had blood test which came back normal so must be ovulating. DR won't help until we've been trying a year.
TIA x x x

From what I understand it isn't necessary to pinpoint ovulation. When you get a positive opk (assuming you are of course) it means that you will more than likely ovulate in the next 8-36 hours approx. Atomic's advice is to BD the night of positive opk, and just making one attempt is achieving very good pink results. Good luck :)

Do you chart your temp? If you get a rise in temp around when you think you should ovulate and it stays up for three consecutive days, that should indicate that progesterone was released and you did ovulate :)

I know they are dearer but it is worth it to buy the clearblue digital ovulation tests. I used them twice a day and always got my positives!!!

It's BDing once that seems to help, not precisely when you BD. Timing doesn't sway. The reason we BD at pos OPK is because it is a good chance of pregnancy with just one attempt, and is easy and not stressful for most people.
For you, it isn't helping because you're reading too much into it and it's actually CAUSING stress. All you need to do is try to get in one attempt before ovulation, whether it's the day before or 2 days or 3 or even just a few hours before. You need to be sure the sperm have time to make it to the egg and for some of them to capacitate.
There's nothing magic about what day you have intercourse on, the best studies we have clearly show about 50-50 boys and girls conceived on every day of the cycle. It's that we want to do one attempt and we need to be sure that it's not too far before ovulation, so we have a good chance of conception.

If I get a BFN I will try a digi one.
I deleted the app that I was recording it on but found this on my other app when I first started 11981 Not sure if it is of any help.
Thank you :) x

If the red days are AF and those little numbers are your Cycle Days, then it is clear to me when you ovulated and temping will work for you, you just need to learn how to do it.
Between the 5th and the 8th, you see you had no temps on the 6th and 7th. See how your temps on the 5th and before that were in the 34s and 35s, and then starting on the 8th and after that they were in the 36 range?? That is because you ovulated and your temperature went up. Now, wihtout the temps for the 6th and 7th I cannot tell you exactly what day, but either the 5th, 6th, or 7th, you ovulated. Then your temps stayed elevated until AF arrived and gradually went back down to the 34-35 range (this is easier to see with a basal body thermometer and chart but it's really quite clear even on this.) HTH.

Thank you Atomic!! So my calendar is working out correctly for me. I though that my temp should of gone back down by the time AF arrived but I was wrong.
I wish I read about only BDing once because I got a very faint BFP today but BD the day before and 2 days before O. :(

2 attempts was still pretty good success, not as high as 1 attempt but still decent. It was 3+ attempts where I felt like we were really getting into trouble.
Some people's temps drop when AF arrives, others sort of gradually go down over the span of a few days.
