DH has MFI (low motility) and DS was conceived with IUI ( + Femara and injectibles). We are hoping for a natural conception for baby #2, but in the event we need to go down the IUI route again - would trying to sway for pink be a moot point if we're doing the IUI? I mean, I know Y sperm swim faster. I could try Shettles for a girl, but I am also concerned because of my age (35), I don't want to lose any chances of conceiving at all.

IUI may sway blue a little bit, but it is not because Y sperm swim faster (they don't) and Shettles timing doesn't work either. It would be a very bad idea to try for Shettles with any sperm issues.

My advice is for you guys to get Clomid if at all possible and try that instead. Clomid does seem to sway pink.

I would also recommend having you do diet (just you not DH)

Thank you!

We tried Clomid for two cycles before heading to Femara + injectibles (total of 4 cycles - miscarried on 3rd cycle) My RE felt like we had to be more aggressive. I'm hoping for a natural conception next time, but if we have to, will ask for Clomid again!

Gotcha! I am actually a huge fan of Femara, just wanted you to have given Clomid a try first. :) good luck!!

Hi again, what would you suggest timing be for sex, given the circumstances? For our IUI, we were told no sex 5 days prior to IUI.

That's perfect. I would have said 4 days but 5 is also fine.
