Ok, this is A LOT more harder than what I thought! I have been such a fitness junkie since 2 months pp with DS2 and lost 38 lbs. I have learned to eat 6 meals a day and lots of protein. Since joing GD (2 weeks or so) I have dropped the heavy lifting (which seemed fairly easy). Now, how in the world do I start with the LE diet? PLease give me some tips on this journey. I don't know how I'm going to manage skipping breakfast and cutting 75% of my protein intake. I'm willing to do anything to have my DG, I guess I just need tips on how to get started like ASAP! lol TIA

I've used a gradual approach and found it easier. I was also used to eating six meals a day, and I tend to feel like a workout without some weight training is crazy lol. I've switched to all cardio, started running for the first time in my life. If you're already in pretty good shape, that shouldn't be too difficult. I started out with c25k and actually found it too easy, so I just started running for an hour, as far as I could get, with as little walking in there as I could manage. Now I walk five minutes and run the rest. :) With diet, if you were eating say 100g of protein a day, just scale back gradually. Try 90g for a few days, then 80g, etc. I had to start rethinking my meals to not include meat at all, when before meat was the main ingredient haha. I never ate beef or pork but I love chicken and fish, so I gradually cut back on that stuff. After a month and a half on the diet I am meat free, but it took time to get here. I find gradual changes easier to stick too. I also find that my stomach seems to have shrunk and I can no longer eat as much as before, even if I wanted to. Good luck, whatever you decide. :)

I eased my way into LE too. I took a good month to do it slowly and found that I could actually successfully do LE. I've had issues with dieting for many years but for me the gradual approach worked. :)

Thanks ladies, I'm going to ease into then, this is going to be so hard!! lol. Yes, I'm actually 115 lbs. so I think I'm just going to cut all the excercising out just because I can't go more than an hour a day...I tried it for a while and it screwed up my periods (I started getting 35-50 day cycles) so I know if it's not 1 hour then don't do anything at all. Here I go it's all or nithing!!! :)

GRADUALLY! Don't do it all at once, just start making little changes. Remember, less is less, if you can't get down quite as far as the standard LE recommendation, as long as you're moving in the right direction, it will still sway pink Justins Nut Butter - Products - Nut Butters (http://www.justins.com/products.php) Even if you have to continue breakfast and/or add in a 4th meal, it's all good as long as you're cutting back.
Well done on the weight loss, that in and of itself will help even if you don't change your diet.

You don't have to do more than an hour a day, an hour a day is fine. We have been getting such great results with the exercise that I really urge people continue it. I suspect it wasn't just the exercise, but the exercise coupled with the weight loss. Plus, 35 day cycle is not abnormally long, that's still in the realm of normal (and may sway pink anyway)/

I recommend 1200-1600 mcg folic acid, so you would take 3-4 of your 400 mcg ones space throughout the day for best absorption.
You can have greek yogurt and cottage cheese, just watch the protein.

bgtorres - It's been a few days since your initial post. How's the LE diet coming along now? Anything else we can help with? :)

Thanks for asking BabyGirl4Me that is so sweet of you! It's going along pretty well I've been skipping breakfast as hard as it. I drink my Peppermint tea first thing in the morning then have "brekfast/lunch" at 10:30 ish and sometimes even 11:30 what?? That is so not like me and feel proud of this accomplishment lol..I have been having issues with going over my protein, but not to much I used to eat about 120-140 g of protein now I'm down to 50-60gms. I am eating around 1,500 calories a day taking my Folic Acid, drinking Crystal Light 2xs a day. Using Equal with my lunch... 1 egg white topped with non-fat plain greek yogurt and loads of blueberries and strawberries. Trying my best to avoid meat is the hardest thing on eath..HOw did you do it/? I'm down to eating lean chicken every other (but once in that day):(

You *should* be proud of yourself! It is hard to drastically change your diet. I never skipped breakfast but when I swayed pink I gave it up. It really does get easier. 2 ice cold cans of diet coke used to be my "breakfast." It helped with the hunger.
I was vegetarian before starting LE and actually conceived my DS on a primarily vegan diet. I ate a lot of pasta, potatoes, cooked veggies, white rice and iceberg lettuce salads. There are lots of great ideas for meals in the old threads where ladies recorded what they were eating on LE. Maybe that would be a good place to look for meal ideas?

Thanks, I will look those old threads up I'm so new to this site and finding my way around lol,.I have not drank soda in like 2 years, but I can give it a try to help curb my hunger of course Diet will have to do. Is it ok to eat lean chicken or turkey every other day as long as I stay within my limits?

By all means! As long as you stay in your LE limits, in theory you can have anything you want. I'd stay away from red meat except for cheats though.

Less is less, if you were eating 120 g and are now eating 50 g, that's GREAT.
Personally I was never a super big lover of meat, even tho I ate it all the time. It was easy for me to drop so hoping some others chime in with tips. The interesting thing is, I personally find it more satisfying to drop the meat, becasue meat has so much protein for so few cals, that you end up going over on protein almost right away and then what do you have to eat for the rest of the day?? Pasta, bread, rice, dairy all have lots of protein in them, so you end up eating like 300 cals of meat, going over on protein and then having nothign to eat the rest of the day.
Just a reminder, low carb vegetables are FREE you can have as much as you want. So if you're hungry, you can fill up on low carb veg.
