I have a scan planned for when bub will be 13 weeks 1 day. Do you think that they will be able to tell me the gender by then? I see that some women are having gender scans at 15 weeks so ... whats the diff of two weeks?

Here they won't do a gender scan until at least 16 weeks because that's when they believe its properly formed by then.

If you get a good nub photo then they seem quite accurate and the girls on here at great at guessing.

Yes it can:) You want the side profile shot preferablt get some video for us to guess on, at 13 weeks 1 day a boy nub will be obvious especially in a private scan which is looking for it or lack of it:) Theres a thread in the ultrasound section stickies which shows what to look for, have a read through so you know what to look for:)

It's possible but hard for most technicians. I had a scan with 13 weeks in Belgium Europe. She is specialized in early scans and she saw very quick we had a boy. Good luck with your scan!

It can give darn good clues, especially if you get lots of variety in your shots (great nub shots). 13weeks is a great time for nub shots. But it's not 100% at that point. The earliest they do specific gender ultrasound here is 16 weeks. A LOT happens in 2-3 weeks, especially the size of the fetus, to make the parts more visible.
