Comments regarding DW's diet changes-
I did the IG diet for 8 months before giving it up and finding this site. After a 4 month break from diets I did the LE diet very strictly for 8 months. I always skipped breakfast, ate 3 meals between 12pm-9pm and never snacked. I only had meat once during the time that I was on the diet and ate a lot of processed diet foods to keep the nutrient levels to a minimum. I dranks diet pepsi a lot, although not during the month that I conceived. I went from weighing almost 11st to 8st 3lb. I actually stopped ovulation 2 months before my bfp and gained 2lb in the month that I conceived as I was on Clomid and had to get pregnant asap.
If diet was used, length of time before attempt?
8 months, mostly very strict but I had to ease up a little in the last two months as I started Clomid and had to get pregnant asap.
Did you skip breakfast regularly?
Yes
Did DH change his diet with you?
No
Comments regarding DH's diet-
He put on about half a stone to a full stone (7-14lb) in the time leading up to my bfp and ate a lot of rubbish like biscuits, etc.
DId you consume alcohol? No

DId you try to limit caffeine?
No, I did not factor that into my sway
Any Diet Details?
I didn't factor caffeine into my sway as I don't drink coffee anyway. However, I didn't give a thought to the amount in the diet Pepsi that I drank! I never usually drink it so I think the change can only be a good thing as I've never been a great consumer of caffeine anyway.
Any Diet Comments/Additional Info?
After doing the IG diet, the LE diet was a real eye-opener. It was possible to live like a normal person and I ate out a few times and thanks to some pub's 500 cal veggie meals I didn't even need to stress about it. I was a very strict dieter and lost around 2 1/2 stone altogether. I have not been this thin since I was a teenager and found it too easy to lose the weight on this diet. I really took the teenage girl veggie diet idea to heart and it made food choices a lot easier. I ate sooo much Weight Watchers sauces, readymeals, cake, rice cakes, low-fat crisps, diet yoghurt and generally a lot of diet foods that fitted within my limits. I also ate a lot of sweets too. I did not count sodium after about the fourth month of dieting.

What did you weigh/BMI do leading up to O?
8st 5lb (BMI - 18.8)

I drove everywhere and became a real couch potato.

Any additional comments?
I was on Clomid and believe that I ov'd on cd20 which would only make the attempts on cd19/20 relevant as a cut-off does NOT work for us. This was backed up by an opk+ on cd19 and a progesterone test on cd28. However, when I had my 12 week scan the dates agreed with my LMP which would've made ov around cd14 instead. I still don't see how this is possible as I had a very faint BFP at 10dpo, which I believe should've been stronger if I had ov'd on cd14. My prog levels were very low on cd21 too suggesting that I ov'd on cd20. However, the baby was measuring 6 days ahead of my dates so I really don't know! We bd'd on cd12, 14, 16, 19 & 20 altogether.

Things that make me feel great about my sway:
Clomid, massive weight loss during the 7 months prior to my bfp, very little EWCM throughout my fertile time, loss of 'fight' within me - felt very downtrodden and like nothing was worth any effort as 'it wouldn't work anyway.' Conceived in a 'girl-friendly' month, after an awful summer 2012 with very little sunshine.
Things that make me nervous about my sway:
The 2lb weight gain essential for getting pregnant that month. Eating scrambled eggs on toast about 3 times a week in the lead up to ov and generally increasing my cals just to start ov again.
Things worth mentioning:
From June 2011 - March 2012, I was on a strict IG diet using a cut-off. I dropped the diet but carried on with the cut-off until August 2012 when I found this site. I threw myself wholeheartedly into the LE diet and finally got my BFP in March 2013 on my second round of Clomid. I felt a real change in my character from Christmas 2012 onwards and the Clomid exacerbated my low mood. The summer in the UK last year was awful, so I didn't get very much exposure to the sun.
