Well it didn't work for my husband, but 90% of the babies born around me were girls. Are you at Luke by any chance? I was there for two years. :)

A friend of mine just had her 3rd girl... They live in the Middle East. I definitely think the heat is a factor!

Nope we are in 29 palms, Cali. It was 115 ALL freakin' day today. And 99 at 9pm for fireworks. I wanted to die!

Wow! And there's us in the UK getting excited about it being 25 degrees this weekend. How do you cope with such temperatures? Is it difficult with LO's?

Yes, but sunlight also raises Vit. D and may raise testosterone.

The trouble with all this stuff is that there are so many variables it's very difficult to predict what will happen.

Statistically speaking the closer you are to the equator, the more girls conceived but as you can testify, that's no guarantee - it's only a minor variation off of normal, still about 50-50.

It is hard on the kids :( We moved here from Florida and it is not even as remotely as hot here. The good news is that we shouldn't be here too long- not even a year. We should be moving closer to the coast like San Diego where it is 75-80 degrees, early next year. However, for now just imagine a billion blow dryers blowing directly on you. That is exactly what it feels like every day, lol.

We can stay inside most of the day however DH is military. So he wears military long pants, shirt, long sleeve blouse, military boots and a cover (hat). He gets the worst of it!

That is exactly what it feels like in AZ too. It's like living on an oven. And God forbid your AC ever go out! :( it's rough sometimes.
