Thank you :)
This will be our second month ttc. With both my boys I got pregnant the first month ttc, so it was kind of a surprise not to get bfp the first month lol
I'm a lot older now though so I know it might take a while..

What about you? How long have you been ttc? :)

This will be our first cycle trying. I also got pregnant quickly with my first so I'm really hoping for the same experience, but I'm 4 years older now so I'm a little scared my body may not be as efficient as it once was.

Won't know until you try. I got pregnant with both my boys first time. I just got off AF so my O days start Monday. I have not been doing the LE diet though.... :/

I am 10 DPO but I really think I am 6 DPO basing on horrible cramps I had on the 5th. I think they were ovulation pains. We are currently on, "If it happens, it will happen" for conceiving. This is our first cycle. :)

Very true! Are you using any other sway tactics? :)

Yep! Vitex, Licorice Root, for hubby. RePHresh. Vitex has changed my cycle first month so definitely in my system. So debating now or waiting a month to see if I can do diet and decline conditions a bit. But I suck at it!!

Today is CD10 for me, expecting O in around 4-6 days. I have a longer than usual cycle and PCOS so I can never be certain.
My CM has changed to the creamy fertile cm before HIGHLY fertile EWCM so I don't think O is too far away (have also started taking zirtec to deal with the excessive amount of CM I seem to have) This is our first month TTC and really hoping it's the last - we are very impatient when we set our minds on something!

Oh I can certainly relate to the impatients! Do you ovulate every cycle? Even if it's late, so long as you are ovulating that's a good thing

Yes, thankfully I ovulate every month since taking metformin so that's one thing to be relieved about!

We're trying at the moment too, am cd12 and usually ovulate around cd15. However each time we've tried for our babies we've conceived on months where my cycle has gone funny and I've ovulated 3-4 days later than usual. Hoping its just coincidence but I guess we'll see.

DS1 was a one hit wonder, DS2 was 3 months TTC, Evelyn was 5 months TTC with two chemicals before her. I'm on my second month of clomid and I'm only doing 4 no this max, so hoping we catch soon.

Been on diet for 7-8 weeks now but this month I've been very lax about it. I've also been a lot less stressed about checking cervix, cm and opks this month. Just feels like my heart's not in it this month for some reason. We'll see what happens though.

That's great! I know a lot of women with pcos need help with ovulation so you're already ahead of the game :)

I got pg with my daughter a couple of months after an early m/c. I wonder if there's a connection?

Hi ladies! I'm ttc right now, we just took this month off. I just started progesterone tabs to hopefully make my luteal phase longer and hopefully I'll o again around the 20th of august. The diet has been really hard for me and Ive only lost a pound so far. Where are you girls at? What kinds of things are you incorporating into your sways? I just bought a hematite bracelet today to wear in my underwear lol. I'm doing the crystal light drinks a few times a day, skipping breakfast and drinking cranberry. Also picked up some zyrtec. For timing we're going to try at pos opk and another just after o. I think we will try frequent release because we conceived our last boy with a one week abstain, what are you ladies trying for timing?

Oh I forgot mention I work in front of a computer all day so I bought a fan to blow away the positive ions. But the problem is the a/c in our office is freezing cold. I'm going to have to start wearing sweaters soon...in the middle of an Arizona summer lol

gafan

I work with a laptop for hours every day and I'm concerned about the ions. Does it matter how close or how far away you are from the screen? Would a ceiling fan help at all or would you need a fan pointing at the screen?
Also, do TV screens cause problems with ions? Thanks for any input!

Btw, I'm just starting the process, TTC pink. This is my first month TTC.
I look forward to talking with everyone.

What is this ion stuff?

gafan
August 3rd, 2013, 12:23 PM
I apologize if this is hijacking the post... I'm learning the ropes here.

I do not know much about the ions, so I'm sure someone else can respond more fully. The idea is that environmental ions we are exposed to might change the polarity of our eggs. And that could change what kind of ion the egg attracts -positive or negative. If x sperm are naturally negatively charged and y sperm are naturally positively charged the polarity of the egg might attract one or the other. So for a girl you'd want exposure to negative ions and for a boy positive ions.
Environmental factors that give off positive ions are things like computers, microwaves, cell phones, pine, rosemary. Negative ions are given off by waterfalls, rain, ion hairdryers, plants, and lavender.
And I think pH might also have something to do with this.
I have no idea if the ion concept is true or could have an impact on gender.

To return to the original thread topic... I am surprised by how slowly days seem to go now that I'm TTC. It'll be another week before I can use a pregnancy test and that seems like forever! How do you ladies pass the time? : )

August 3rd, 2013, 12:28 PM
^^^that's the idea, it's highly doubtful (impossible) it works for swaying, but it's ok to give it a try for pink, becasue negative ions are good for health anyway. Blue swayers should avoid positive ions which are harmful.

I'm waiting for AF right now (expecting it a week from today) and then we will be ttc! I've taken a week off of my diet, with the thinking (excuse?!) that when I kick it in again even more hardcore for this cycle that it will be more of a shock to the system.

I am very nervous too, bc we conceived both our boys the very first try and I know it will be really upsetting to me if I get a bfn this month ....so I go back and forth between wondering if I'm doing TOO much sway, which will prevent conceiving, or if I'm being too slack, which will get me the bfp, but then probably won't sway pink.

Good luck to everyone!!

Hi gafan and 2nbday! And welcome! Sorry, I've been out of town. Nice to see this thread picking back up again. Unfortunetly my attempt has been pushed back until September but im hoping that will be my month! I've been doing awful at the diet lately. Gafan how exciting that you're in the 2ww! Did you sway? Good luck to everyone!

Hi mis2ninos.
Funny but I didn't learn about swaying until this week. And I ate really well last month... so I'm kind of crossing my fingers that I'm not pregnant. This will probably be the last month I do that for awhile!
Of course the odds are I'm not pregnant yet, so I'll start the sway now. And whatever will happen will happen.

Gafan how long do you plan on doing the diet if you're not preg? Are you taking any supplements or doing anything else to sway? I've been on a few diets in my life and this one is by far the hardest! But it's Monday and I'm back on track...for now!

Mis2ninos, I don't know yet. I just got a custom plan so I'm waiting to get my plan and recommendations for how many months to work on it before trying again. In the meantime, I've started some cranberry and magnesium supplements, and I've been taking folic acid alone instead of in a full prenatal vitamin. And I stopped my DHA supplement for now and added some probiotics.
For now I'm just trying to eat lower everything, especially less meat.
I'd planned to diet this month a little anyway, since my sister is getting married next month. :Flower:

August 7th, 2013, 12:41 AM
Sounds great! Let me know how you like the plan :)

I had already started my sway before I found out about it so hopefully I've got it figured out. I've lost 4 lbs hope to lose about 4 more before next month. Ive been taking the vitex and saw palmetto this month but next month I start clomid so I won't be doing that anymore.

How long are you doing diet ms2? I was doing it 6 weeks the week we did our attempt! Fingers crossed I get bfp this month. As time went in I found the skipping breakfast got much easier

I've been doing a general "lose weight" diet off and on for over a year, skipping breakfast + crystal light for about 12 weeks, supplements for about 8 weeks, but I'll only have about 3 weeks of the actual LE diet under my belt when we do our first attempt....hopefully it's enough.
