Hey everyone, I had 2 private sonograms done one at 11 weeks and one at 13. At the 11 week scan our tech told us for sure boy and to get real excited. Now at 13 she is saying girl for sure and to get over it (way rude). My husband and I have 2 daughters together and we have been praying for a boy. Any feedback would help

The 11 week scan is way too early. If you google what a fetus looks like at 11 weeks, it's still pretty much an alien with a tail. At 13 weeks, it's closer to looking normal and although not elective, my NT scan we did look at the potty shot and it did appear to be a boy.
13 weeks is really to early to say anything for sure. Your potty shot does appear to look like a girl but the nub looks quite large with a big bulb on it. Had I not seen a potty shot I would have said a slight boy lean guess but I think you're going to have to wait for a proper gestation to have an elective scan to get a real answer!

Ok I'm still just praying for a boy, is there any possibility that the potty shot could be of a scrotum area. The tech did say there wasn't much separation so there is a possibility of a boy still. More guesses please I'm open to all opinions

Gender can't be determined at 11 weeks and I would register a complaint if a tech told you gender at 11 weeks. especially if she was rude about it at a later date. Those are the kinds of techs that cause unneccesary heartbreak for people.
13 weeks is very early still and I certainly wouldn't hang a hat on those pics, altho I do lean girl as well.

I did want to complain but just in the moment of having my whole family there I didn't want to cause unnessecary drama. I was already emotional enough and to be honest since this is most likely our last child my heart is just being ripped since I most likely will not be having a boy. I just feel like all signs are pointing girl and its all over. Don't mean to vent and be emotional, its just hard.

I'm still praying multiple times a day. No one sees a possible boy?

I'm thinking girl but it could still be too early to know for sure.

Wow. I am so sorry. That tech sucks :( She should have never, ever guessed at a gender at 11 weeks. There is nothing to guess on at that stage, nothing is formed. At 13 weeks, it's still a long shot on gender. I am leaning girl from your pictures, but I certainly would not take it as definitive. Much stranger things have happened.

I would just wait it out until a much later scan. Yes the 13 week scan looks girly but it really is too early for a potty shot. Hope you get your boy.

I agree that 13 weeks is WAY to early for a potty shot. I hope you get your boy! :)

Am I the only one that thinks that 13 week nub shot looks boyish? I honestly dont think that potty shot is the least bit reliable as most of the girls have said so honestly I would toss that pic out and not even consider it again until you have a scan at 20 weeks! Im sorry that tech put you through this roller coaster! I truly feel for you :(

My friend was told girl at her 13 week scan and she was delighted at twenty weeks when it was confirmed baby was a boy. It's just too unreliable to guess at 13 weeks ! Put it out of your head ( so hard to do as I am In The same boat ) if you can until the 20 week scan .

I think boy from the nub shots and I'm not going to comment on the potty shot because at 13 weeks she shouldn't even have given you a potty shot, it's SO early. Most private places in my country recommend gender scans for 16 weeks plus, occasionally one will do 15 weeks, but usually with a warning on reliability. I would not give up hope yet. Wait a few weeks and go somewhere different. And write a complaint letter to the place about her manor, you don't deserve that, and neither no any future women she may serve.

Meeks32 those 2 photos from the sonogram were the only ones that she didn't plaster girl all over. Thank you everyone for your opinions =) the nubs do look boy to me, its that dang potty shot that just has me down. More opinions are greatly appreciated

I know someone who was told pretty much 100% girl on a 13 week potty shot (three lines and everything). At 16 weeks it was clearly a little boy. No tech should have given you a potty shot so early. 11 weeks is also too early to even guess at gender. Please ask for your money back. I will give you all my blue dust and I really hope you get a little boy.

After re-reading everyone's posts its given me some hope. I wanted to post the other photos that we were given to us. The only thing we know 100% about this little nugget is that he/she is a thumbsucker. The middle and bottom photo I'm questioning now and more opinions on these are truly appreciate, just please ignore the writing on them and don't base opinions on that.

If that last pic is a profile pic pointing to nub it looks boyish. I'm really bad with potty shots sorry! I'm not sure if last pic is a profile pic either as it looks like some is cut off. Fx you hear boy x

These are the last 2 that I could think may show something. The rest were pretty cut off. What's the diagnosis on these?

Wow such a rude Tech - not even an apology. The nub at 11 weeks is still forming and will look like a penis, it then begins to reseed to form a vagina if this is the case. Which looks like what happens with your little girl!
The tech should never of confirmed gender so early!

Here's the same opinion most people have said so not sure if it's at all helpful but while that 13 week potty shot looks girly...that's just too early for a potty shot. 11 weeks is way too early for a nub shot as well but those nubs do look boyish. All that being said, unfortunately it's just a waiting game at this point I think..14+ weeks and you'll have better luck with a resounding yes or no:-)

Hi I won't make a guess on potty shot/nub theory as I'm no good at it but my scan at 13 weeks looked like a girl and so many people guessed girl not just on this site, but at 19 weeks we found out we are expecting a little boy and we saw for ourselves lol so don't loose hope mistakes can be made and if it is a little girl I'm sure your other daughters will love a baby sister, I hope you get your boy x

A tech full on typing question marks on the scans is insane to me. I wouldn't listen to a word they say.
