I see lots of people say its best for a girl to do it once at pos OPK. Can you do it more than once in that day or literally 1 time only?

Just the once.

Seems like sways with 1 attempt are having more success at pink vs. those with multiple attempts.

Is this with DH abstaining or taking care of himself a few days and just letting the swimmers free at pos opk?

Yes. You can either frequent release or abstain. Either way only one shot goes in you.

I haven't checked the updated stats on pink sways just yet but when I looked around it seemed that 1 attempt with abstain had slightly better results than 1 attempt with FR. If you have to do FR though don't worry about it. 1 attempt had overall more success than multiple attempts. Good luck!

The thing with FR is, that it is REALLY stressful and husbands get pissed off about it. Everyone thinks (including the men themselves) that DTD every day will be easy or fun but I would say 80% of guys have trouble with it and some of them do the FR only to not be able to perform for the one attempt. As a result, I do recommend abstain for any guy who is under 35 and will continue to do so because I think it has a higher rate of compliance without the stress involved. Some of the stuff I recommend is about way more than just what the stats on the site are, because they don't represent the people who literally COULDN'T do those tactics. :)

One time only. The day is irrelevant. What seems to matter is just having one attempt in the fertile window. And pos OPK is best odds of conception with one attempt with swaying.

All possible frequency patterns (even BLUE) seem to be getting pretty good results with one attempt. I got my DD with one attempt after reg release every 4 days or so.

Seems like it would be harder to conceive at all doing just once. When do u consider a pos opk? Mine had never been as dark as Control line

It isn't though. Daily intercourse for longer than a couple of days without a break has been well proven to lower odds of conception.

pos OPK is as dark or darker than control. If you have trouble with them, you can use cheapies to get you close and then switch to clearblues for confirmation

Yeah I feel like I have never gotten a true pos. I have a fertility monitor that I used when I conceived because of it. I know I was ovulating though because I got pregnant. The OPKs are confusing to me because of that. I may go ahead and get some and play around with them so I can get a better idea.

I never used to get +OPKs...like 2 in 3 years. Then when I started seeing an RE, she told me to test twice a day. Each time you have to "hold it" for 4 hours with no fluid intake for the last 2 hours of it. Both test after lunch, so I would do one at 2pm or so then another at 8pm. THEN I started seeing the +s.

For me, when I did get one OPK where the lines were the same, I was not O'ing. I ended up O'ing about 5 days later.

Ok I will try that and see how that works for me.

if a fertility monitor works better for you, use that. nothing magic about opk, we're just trying to get an attempt in there when it's good odds of conception. that's all. nothing to do with doing it right at pos OPK or anything. 50-50 boys and girls conceived thru the entire cycle.

Hi Shanna! It's me from FB mommies group. I got pg (at 36) with just one attempt at positive OPK. It can happen! Good luck! Funny, I totally remembered your screen name from SC and knew it was you right away. :)
