So I was reading on a different site. CM to be precise and I read that taking b6 helps with the production of progesterone. After googling about it I found that it lowers estrogen in blood and raises progesterone (can't find the link anymore but somewhere it said magnesium helped) Then I cam across this

These methods have been shown effective for increasing progesterone levels:

750 mg vitamin C per day (increased progesterone 77% and improved fertility)
600 mg vitamin E (increased progesterone in 67% of patients)
6 g L-arginine (increased progesterone in 71% of patients)
Increasing beta carotene (boosts progesterone levels in dogs and goats)
Increasing vitamin B6
Supplementing with Vitex Agnus Castus (increases progesterone and fertility)
120 mg Black Cohosh on days 1 to 12 (increases progesterone and fertility)
Supplementing with selenium
Consuming dairy products (shown to raise progesterone in men)
Weight loss
Avoiding overeating
Improving insulin sensitivity (metformin increases progesterone levels 246%)
Replacing saturated fat in the diet with unsaturated fat
80mg progesterone cream (shown to be as effective as 200 mg oral progesterone prescription)
Eating a high protein, low carbohydrate diet
Lowering TSH levels in subclinical hypothyroidism

here is the link : https://sites.google.com/site/miscarriageresearch/hormones-and-miscarriage/progesterone-research/how-to-increase-progesterone

Just wondering about thoughts? TIA

EDIT: found the link
Vitamin B6 increases progesterone

Administration of vitamin B6 at doses of 200-800 mg/day reduces blood estrogen, increases progesterone and results in improved symptoms under double-blind conditions.

Not exactly sure what your q is...but my understanding is yes, b6 can raise progesterone and helps with leveling out the LP.

Don't really have a direct question. Just wanted her thoughts because she has been doing this a while and may see that some things work Better than others or that maybe some of these things don't work at all. For instance I haven't seen many women use vitamin C. Does she not suggest it because it always sways blue? Anyone really can give their input. Maybe they Know something more about these things than I do.

I don't think that vitamin C, in particular, sways blue. But adding vitamins and minerals and consuming a nutrient dense diet DOES sway blue. Vitex sways pink, there's an essay on it in the dream member section.

"Higher progesterone levels are also believed to sway pink, so that is why vitex is used in pink sways"

just quickly here but I do not believe there is solid evidence to support prog. swaying pink. I will write more when I have a chance

It could be because Vitex throws their cycle out of whack & an irregular cycle seems to sway girl. That's just a guess.

The idea that progesterone sways pink is just a theory, it's not even a particularly good theory, it's never been studied properly, and the guy who came up with the theory has NEVER said that you should try to raise prog. to sway pink. The only thing he has ever said is that when progesterone is higher relative to testosterone and estrogen, then you may be more likely to have a girl. What that really means is that when T and E levels drop but P stays high enough for you to get and stay pregnant, you are more likely to have a girl - but that could and IMHO IS because your T and E levels have dropped and nothing to do with progesterone in and of itself.

It does NOT mean what IG has then interpreted it to mean - the evidence simply does not support trying to raise progesterone to sway pink. Testosterone, estrogen, and progesterone are all made from the same stuff and it is IMPOSSIBLE to raise one without affecting the others.

I do not have time to go thru that list and say why all those things are a bad idea for swaying pink but with the exception of Vitex, weight loss, and metformin, they all sway blue or are too dangerous to do when you are TTC (or both).

Taking 200-800 mg Vit B6 is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS and can have serious neurological effects. No one should ever take more than 150 and less is prob better. I got my 4th boy taking 100 mg B6 and I believe it to sway blue. One of the big sway supplement companies also dropped it from their sway supps because they believed it was contributing to opposites.
