The tech said the same thing!!! We had originally planned not to find out, but after chatting with her about what we had & discussing the nub theory with her...she finished the ultrasound & turned to me with a big smile & said, "Well...do you know what you're having???" Im not great with nubs, but the bright white, straight line with that sideways V just screamed at me...lol...so I said, "I think we have hope?" And she laughed & said, "You have hope!!!" LOL...she was pretty definite in her opinion, but now I'm wishing I had just made her say it outloud...lol...my paranoia is kicking in.
We did the Maternit21 test, so we should have results from that in 10 days...I told my DH he needs to take the call about the results...because if this truly ends up being pink, I will pass out!!! LOL.

Technically no...but sort of?? I got pregnant the month after I miscarried...I ovulated a week later than usual, my fertility was definitely not what it used to be & I was way heavier when I conceived this time....so I think those things may have swayed, but they werent things I could really control (other than my diet) ya know? So I guess my body sort of swayed for me? lol
Plus, I had been following all the recommended stuff just prior to seeing the RE...so I had been on vitex for a while & then quit...which I think is what Atomic had done, too.

ETA: My DH did wear tighty whiteys...which he promptly through straight into the trash right when we got a positive HPT...lol!

No matter what....as long as the baby is healthy, it's a happy story for us :) It's taken us a long time to get here.
I honestly never imagined I'd have to deal with infertility, so any baby for us is a blessing...though i wont lie, it was really exciting to see how excited the tech was to be able to tell us we had hope for pink. lol.

Guess we'll know for sure soon enough!!

i hope they are right, my tech told me girl at 12+1 from the nub and they were right cvs confirmed it.

We're fighting about it right now...LOL.
I did the Maternit21 test, so they can tell gender from that...we're debating whether it not to ask though!! I think I'm going to have to though...especially now....I'm going to drive myself crazy the rest of this pregnancy if I don't!! LOL!!

That's very flat, a very girly nub if I ever saw one. I am so jealous of the Materni21 test, here it costs $1000+. I was offered it but cant afford it so have to wait. DYING HERE. Will live vicariously through you for now. ;-)

That sucks that it costs so much!! I'm guessing my insurance will cover a large portion of it. We qualified for it because of my age. I'm so anxious to get the results....to make sure the baby is okay, and of course to confirm things.

I will definitely keep you posted!! I know even if they say pink, I won't believe it, but thankfully, since Im seeing the perinatologist, I'll have lots of ultrasounds to check things out anyway...lol.

I haven't had my NT yet, but I am 11 weeks today and see my ob tomorrow for the first time. I will ask him for a nub shot because he has a machine, but I know at 11 weeks its not too reliable, so i'll also ask at my 12w Nt scan. If I can get away with it, i might book the NT scan for 13 weeks, not sure if thats allowed though.

Has your pregnancy been any different this time? My two boy pregnancies were different from eachother, but this one is VERY different to both of them.

This time i'm not sick at all, and was very sick with my 2 boys. This time I have no acne, and I did really bad with the boys. I am also very high energy this time, where with the boys I felt SO tired all the time. FX it means something!

Yes, this time is totally different for me, too...
For first 3 kids, I never had nausea, but this time, some nausea & a very upset stomach.
I COULD NOT GET ENOUGH of Classen pickles for the other 3 pregnancies, but this time I won't touch them. I am IN LOVE with tangerines in juice. And most fruits.
I haven't gained any weight yet with this pregnancy, but had definitely gained weight by now for the others. Lots of food aversions...even stuff I normally love.

I'm hoping the differences mean something!!

agree, I dont think each symptom means boy or girl for everyone but I do think the differences for yourself personally may mean something.

By now I had lost 4kg with my boys, this time I have gained 4kg.

I am off a lot of foods I ate with the boys, and find myself craving sweet things which is very unusual for me, I usually prefer savoury. I get hungry but then dont feel like anything we have in the house, which is interesting and different to the boys. Also loving fruit at the moment but I did with ds1 too.

I guess having 3 boys, I just didn't believe it could happen for us...
When she said we have hope & started giggling & telling us how she had 2 boys & prayed for a girl...and it happened for her, too...she was as excited as we were...but then that painful enemy doubt creeps back in...and truthfully, if I never do have a girl, at least I have these next few days to daydream & pretend & be hopeful.
So this study means more to me than you could know. <3

Yes very excited it was a little bit hard to believe to start with. like you I took a little break from here after I had a m/c and months of BFN and didn't end up swaying much in the end. Decided to leave it in God's hands and the rest is history.

Yep, February 2nd...but probably the week before - c-section.
Believe it or not, we haven't told them yet...we're waiting on our Maternit21 test results before we tell them anything. I wanted to be able to digest anything first myself before discussing it with them. Hopefully we'll have the results back sometime this week or early next. (Please say a prayer they turn out okay.)

Yes, I needed that break, it was so hard seeing all our friends get BFPs right away...and then when I had the loss, it was crushing. I'm sure you alone could understand.

Wednesday will be a week, and I'm hearing 10 days on average, so hopefully by Friday or early next week. It really is nerve racking...you are so right!!

And they'll also be able to tell us the gender, too....so at least there won't be anymore guessing about that...lol. I just really want to hear that everything is okay.

I thought I'd be here forever.
From being seriously fertile mertel to seeing a fertility specialist....definitely didn't expect that.And he certainly wasn't much help. Their goal is to get several eggs...our goal is to find one good one. I knew that until the menopausal lady sung, there was always a chance. Honestly, NBP, Atomic & the ladies in HT gave me a lot of great advice about supplements.....I really think that helped. I started taking Wheatgrass tablets...which sucked, but I do think it helped. Plus, Atomic talked me down several times...reminding me to be patient. But it is so hard!!!
Anyway, sorry for the ramble. I'm putting a prayer for you in my prayer box. It will happen soon & I cannot wait to read all about it!! ;) XOXO

Well, I don't know what I feel...except to say my hopes are definitely up...and I know my husband's are, too. We told the tech we didn't want to know, but that I was familiar with the nub theory & that we wanted to obsess over it. LOL...I was surprised, but happy that she knew what it was.
Anyway, she had asked what we had at home before starting & when it was all over, she looked at me with a big smile & said, "Well? What do you think you're having?" And seeing that long straight flat line with a sideways V at the end, I said, but almost questioningly, "I think we have hope?" And she smiled real big & said, "You have hope!!!" So then my DH said, "Are you serious???" And we all started laughing & I started crying & then she pulled out her cell phone & showed us her "testimonial"...a picture of her daughter she prayed for after her 2 boys...it was a really sweet moment...
But now I'm afraid that my hopes are up. :(
You are soooooo right, no matter what this baby is loved more than anything, but I saw how excited my DH was at the idea.

They have been hilarious!! We showed them the ultrasound picture & one said it looked like a bunny & the other said a raccoon smoking a cigar!!! LOL...
And then the youngest said, umm...but what happens when there's 3 cookies left & 4 of us??? LOL...
And we heard him tell his brother, Cam...you can't get pregnant from Starbucks...LOL...We didn't even want to touch that one!!! :)

The boys name he came up with straight away, it was Harold and we were like hmmm maybe not. Then a couple of weeks later out of the blue he says mum is the baby is a girl I think we should call her Maisy. We're not telling anyone in real life so it's pretty hard to get a 5yo to keep a secret but he's doing a good job. Elvis is pretty funny

She is snuggled on me right now and if you didn't know that there was any concerns via u/s, you just would not know! She is growing well, easily nursing....and 8 days from now we will have all the appointments and tests behind us. It will give us a good idea of what she will face (and us too) in the up and coming months.
I jokingly refer to our specialists trips as mother/daughter vacations.....we even scored a flight this time!!!!
