Scan on Friday, any last guesses? UPDATE

We lost our baby girl at 17 weeks in february this year. It came as quite a shock as our scan at 13 weeks had been okay. I am now pregnant again and had a scan which dated me at 13 weeks 1 day. It looks like a boy doesn't it?
Can't help feeling a little sad as this will be our last. We already have two boys.

I would really appreciate your honest opinions.

I'll be honest that doesnt scream boy to me especially at 13 weeks. On the top pic the seperate white blob which may be obvious on a boy at this stage seems to high to the body and on the bottom pics it is far too far off the bottom of yhe body for me, that doesnt mean its not a boy! but for me thats not a good boy shot so I would guess girl:) Any other pics???

Thank you for looking at it for me. Thats all I have I am afraid. During the scan I was looking at what i thought was the nub and it did seem flat, but after seeing the pictures the sonographer printed it just looks like a boy to me.

Hmmmm tough one....I'm really not convinced that the shadow is a part of the nub...and the nub itself looks extremely flat....goodluck at your next scan and I am so sorry for the loss of your little girl x

You know what I think you're still in for a shot! I would guess girl on your nub thus far. It looks pretty flat. Either way congratulations on your little rainbow baby I know too well the very hard road you have worked on to get here and either way I wish you much strength and a happy and healthy rest of your pregnancy:)

Sorry for your previous loss, and congrats on this baby being healthy. I have two boys too, so I know how you feel with this being your last. I agree with those above that said the nub looks flat and girly, I don't think the shadow is attached either. Did you get any video? My vote is girl for this one. I would have expected more of a rise if it were a boy at 13 weeks.

Thanks for all your guesses. I had a consultant appointment on Wednesday and she kindly did a quick scan and baby seems to be doing great, which was a huge relief as I am now nearly 17 weeks so have been feeling quite anxious. Unfortunately we didn't get a look at the potty area, so still have no idea what we are having. We will hopefully find out at the end of September.

I would also vote girl. That blob doesn't look like it's part of the nub. Especially at 13 weeks. I'm so sorry for your loss :( I lost a little girl myself at 20 weeks in January (currently 14.4 weeks). I hope you get your girl!

Thank you. I really have to try not to get my hopes up with all the girl guesses in case it is a boy.. but its difficult. I keep dreaming its a boy, so it probably will be!

I would actually vote boy. It looks very similar to my last scan and i had lots of girl votes. I have 3 boys and although a girl would have been a nice change i would not change him for the world! I'm so sorry for your loss, but surely a healthy baby whatever gender would be most important at this time ;-)

I do have a feeling baby is a boy. A girl would be nice, but I am sure another boy will be wonderful too. My two really want baby to be another brother, so I think they will be pleased! My husband on the other hand really really wants this to be a girl, probably more so than i do!

Hello,
We had our 22 week scan today and baby is a girl! I didn't want to be told during the scan and just wanted to concentrate on looking at baby and making sure all was well. The sonographer kindly wrote the gender on a bit of paper which we looked at in the car! Anyway, absolutely stunned and cannot believe it. A little annoyed that i didn't see for myself on the screen because I am now doubting it, but we have another scan at 30 weeks, so will double check then. We haven;t told family yet and not sure we will. Thank you all for your help and guesses :)

I know what you were going through. I had a mc at 17 weeks. It was a girl. I then got pregnant again and it was a boy (4boys altogether !) I was gutted. But he is my world and I couldn't be with out him. I'm now 19 weeks pregnant with my ht Girl. I'm so excited.
