Hi all

I'm back here again, been ttc since December. I stopped ovulating in Jan and am on my second round of clomid (it's working according to blood tests - AF just arrived too :( only second time this year!).

I am having an operation on my ankle to remove hardware on 14th August. I will need a general anaesthetic for the op. Last month I O'd on day 18 of my cycle - my op will be on CD14.

I know anaesthesia is supposed to sway pink and to be honest I am not going to put off my surgery but do you think I should give TTC a break for a couple of months. I'm due to take my first clomid pill tomorrow for this cycle and not sure what to do!

I feel gutted that everything I do to try and sway blue seems to be counteracted by stuff out of my control - clomid, now this op! I must say tho that I have had lots of EWCM since being on clomid for the first time ever so not sure it will be too much of a problem for me in terms of swaying. But my big concern now in the anaesthesia.

Any advice!? Thanks :) xx

I would have prob. had you wait, but if you've already taken the Clomid then please TTC. Not only the anesthetic, but jsut the whole trauma of having your ankle injured.

Thanks Atomic, appreciate your response. I just want to get pregnant now as been ttc for ages and whilst I would love a boy I would be more than happy to have a girl :) x

I also just had to start on Clomid and was pretty bummed since trying to sway blue, but feeling a little better about it -- I use Preseed with every attempt, and also take robitussin. Good luck! x

Thanks DreamInBlue, I didn't want to take clomid but no other option was presented to me given my ovulation had stopped. I've heard the only reason it sways girl is due to lack of EWCM - thankully I had loads of EWCM last month when on clomid than I have ever recalled!! I'll aim to take preseed and robitussin this time (I always forget!!).

I am sure I'm going to have another girl - if I ever do get pregant! I've been pregnant 3x before and conceived on 1st month for each, so it's really frustrating not to be able to fall pregnant easily now. I'm so impatient!

Loads of good luck to you :) :luck: x
