This is #3, measuring right on my dates at 12 weeks exactly.

Thanks! I saw it about 5 times and it looked long flat and forked.

She did a potty shot too and couldn't see anything, not that that is too reliable at 12w, but at 11w we had a moment where the ob thought he saw a penis in the potty shot so it calmed me down a bit to see nothing this time.

She wouldn't commit to saying girl or boy but from what I know of nub theory I got a strong girl feel. Dh swore baby looked more 'petite' than our boys, and I gave him a lesson in nubs last night, he's adamant it's a girl.

For me, uncertainty wont be over until the 20w scan though.

It does look very girly. I'm going to be the boring cautionary one pointing out that 12 weeks is still quite early and there's a small chance it may rise. Still, my current baby's nub was already 1000% boy at the same gestation.

Ok I trimmed it to approx 1 min, but its not always loading the trimmed one on YouTube.

If it loads the 1 min video, there is a moment about 8 seconds in where it looks super forked. If it loads the 8 min video scroll to 7:02 onwards for nub shots. That moment is approx 8 seconds after that.

So I think the fork is a fork, not a bump. But there are other moments where I don't know.

Ah, it's so hard to say from the video (I'm not an expert nub watcher for ultrasounds lol!) I see what you mean about the odd bump on the end and then other times more forked. I can't tell if I can see a slight angle either on it either which I guess it could rise since it's only 12 weeks. I think considering all the girl guesses though you've got a pretty good shot!! Did the place give you a guess - if I remember correctly you said they were having great success at guessing gender from the 12 week ultrasound. So excited for you!!!

The 1 min video showed up for me! Like I said though I've only ever seen nub shots.. I've never watched a nub on a video so it's so hard to tell if the spine is angled or straight when your looking because they move around so much!!

She wouldn't guess! I think I got the old fuddy duddy one who wasn't that into nub theory, although she did say she painted her grandchild's room at 13 weeks so she knew well enough. I asked for a nub shot and that moment right at the end of the video (last 5-10 seconds) is where she was lining up the one to print, so I assume this is the most accurate moment.

If you post it on baby center, turtle is a tech and very good at her guesses.

Salsa I'm trying hard to keep a lid on my excitement for fear it could be taken away at a later scan!!! But yes we have "the" girls name: Lexi. I love it and won't choose anything else. IF we got to use it, the middle name would be May, after my grandma, as she will be the only child of mine my grandma didn't meet.
Luckily dh and I have always agreed on the girl name.

As a backup, I even got him to agree on the boy name last night too, so fate wasn't tempted to get me just because we had no boy name. If its a boy it's Caspian.

That was the study where they couldnt determine sex in 10% of the cases - which i think is pretty impressive. I think some of the 8% they got wrong at 12 weeks might have been close calls. Yours is text book. I think it is healthy to keep some doubt in your mind but am super excited. The only way this is a boy is if it is a late riser which is quite rare I think. Whoop whoop.

Thanks Em, I think some part of me just can't believe it could be true, until I see it at a later scan. But this has perked me up so much, even to be in with a chance after thinking it was blue for a whole week.

The late rise is my nightmare. Fx it stays down! Dh is blissfully confident (possibly naively confident) that his very limited introduction to nub theory has meant he just KNOWS its a girl. Am trying to keep him grounded!

Tuesday, at my obstetricians office, so not an official one, but he will have a sticky beak down there if I ask (and if he's not called off to a birth, and baby has legs open!!!!). I will be 15 weeks on the dot. REALLY hope the stars align and I can have a good shot at knowing. I would rather it be a definite one way or the other, rather than waiting longer and wondering!!

IT'S A GIRL! 15 weeks 1 day, so still early, and I got no pics as my obstetrician had to run off and deliver a baby, but he said it looked like a girl and I was watching and didn't see anything remotely boy like on the scan, and saw a good shot between the legs where there was NOTHING!
