I went on a sway diet shopping spree tonight, which was a very interesting and difficult challenge, since I'm usually looking for the MOST healthy/fortified/high protein versions of everything... so it was a completely different filter for all my decisions! Here are a few gems I found, in case anyone else is interested....(oh, full disclosure, I'm NOT watching sodium levels...if anything I'm going to be high)

Triscuits is now making a line of brown rice based crackers (versus the wheat flour)...some have sweet potato (no) and red beans (stop adding stuff!) as ingredients, but I got a black pepper and salt one and a tomato and basil flavor that are appealing and are just the rice.

In the "asian food" aisle I found some rice crackers...also bought the Quaker brand gluten free rice cakes. This section also had some individual bowls of all natural white sticky rice that you just have to microwave. I think it's from the same line as all the Annie's brand stuff.

Thomas bagel thins in cinnamon raisin (NOT whole wheat...so proud of myself). Tomorrow I plan on picking up the mini blueberry bagels at another store (not willing to get anything with hfcs, even if I am shooting for declining condition). Also got some fat free cream cheese.

Yoplait light yogurts (I know this isn't a new discovery, but there are some really appealing flavors... I'm looking forward to trying these!)

I also bought a ton of cucumbers from the farmer's market and some iceberg lettuce (my mom said - "did you mean to buy this?" lol!)....skim milk WITHOUT DHA (as I discovered our current milk has); Aquafina bottled water; regular pasta (thank goodness DH didn't see me unloading the groceries); and sugarfree gum.

Also....Walgreen's currently has a sale on RePHresh that is $7 off every box! I think it goes through Aug 31.

Anyone else have favorite items? I was paralyzed by granola options (none seemed sufficiently non-vitamin-enriched) so didn't get any of that. Also couldn't find any of the swiss/colby cheese combo I've seen referenced.

I'm on day 2 of doing LE instead of just general "lose weight" diet .... it's certainly a shift, but is going fairly well. I really, really, really hope I get my BFP this cycle!!

I don't have any shopping items to add as we live in the middle of nowhere and there are very limited things available, but just wanted to say that it sounds like you are going great. Well done! The first week of the diet was the hardest for me. Good luck!

Are you going to be exercising or couch potato?

Great going 2bnday! I remember my first grocery shopping trip starting the le diet. I got very low nutrient stuff like pop tarts, regular white pasta, white rice, low sodium pasta sauce, kool aid with aspartame. I have a dd from 14 years ago and I definitely remember eating a lot of carbs and skipping breakfast back then. So I'm trying to eat the same way again. Good heads up on the rephresh I will definitely look into it! Good luck to you!!

Boymama: Thank you! I am in the middle of nowhere too...believe it or not, this was all from a Walmart Supercenter! (and one of the older/smaller ones). I am going to be exercising for mine -- goal of running 30 miles a week. What are you choosing to do?

Thanks, mis2ninos! Good luck to both of you too! I appreciate the encouragement :)

http://genderdreaming.com/forum/trying-conceive-girl/373-products-we-love-ttc-pink.html there is some good stuff in here, altho I don't think anyone has added anything for a while now.

Have you seen the "shreds"? It's preshredded iceberg lettuce sold in with the bagged salads and is good for quick tacos/hummus wraps. I also LOVE Amy's Vegetarian burritos and the Samosa wraps (they are $$$$$$ tho) and something new I just tried and really liked was Tastybite Punjabi Eggplant as a sandwich spread. They had a whole array of pouched vegetarian/vegan entrees, I also had the veggie korma but did not like that quite as well (corn never comes off too well when in packaged form). I don't know how great it is for pink, but I'm in love with Sunbelt Bakery granola bars. Chocolate chip is the best. They're so yummy, my DS thinks they're cookies. Nutrition info: http://sunbeltbakery.com/www/docs/119
It does have whole grain in it, so maybe not for everyone, but if you really want a granola bar they're very tasty.
