Me: 29
DH: 35. He has high blood pressure and takes meds for it.

I think I have some of the diet down. I just have a question on suppliments and how much we DTD.

I'm suppose to take repHresh every 3 days beginning the day after AF and ending 1 day before attempt. So far so good?

As for baby aspirin or cranberry. I'm having a hard time deciding which one to go for. Which has better results?

DH can't have licorice root because of high BP, but I didn't know if he could take sudafed? Does he take it once a day or before attempt?

I can also take zyrtec. Is this all okay to take together or will it make it even harder to conceive? Did I miss anything that reacts to anything? Is there anything else that can increase my chances? Any advice is appreciated!

As for DH. Is it better for him to do a frequent release or not do anything until our attempt? I'm not even sure when I should time us DTD. I'm guessing whenever the smiley face shows up on the stick. I know I don't want to chance O+12.

Thank you all so much!

Edit to add: I see a big success in vinegar/lemon douche on the spreadsheet. Can I try this or would it be too much?

(disclaimer: I'm fairly new...just have read as much as possible on here from Atomic's amazing research/time)

1. re: RePHresh...that's exactly what I'm doing. Good place to start.

2. I'm doing cranberry, but don't remember why. I believe that's considered part of the IG sway (even though I've never been on there - there's a lot of crossover comments/information from people that consult both). I *believe* a true LE would be no supplements except folic acid. Probably if you're that invested in doing a strict sway and are unsure, the best route to go is a personalized plan on here. (I wasn't able to do that, but I will say I finally bought the membership 2 days ago...telling DH it was a pregnancy nutrition site...BEST decision ever!!! So worth it.)

3. Dude. If DH has high BP I wouldn't give him ANYTHING else. I think your sway stuff is more important anyway. Don't take unnecessary risks with your sweetheart. (maybe sudafed is no big deal....but a lot of those type things can be blood thinners - like the cranberry and aspirin...just be careful)

4. I'm also doing Zyrtec. You should *not* do Sudafed if you're doing cran (blood thinner). RePHresh is a ph thing and Zyrtec is a cm thing, so I think they make sense in combo. I'm personally doing mine for about 5 days surrounding O.

5. I don't remember what the "old guy" cut-ff is for FR vs abstain (I say that lovingly...your DH is way younger than mine!)...but you might be on the brink where it's best to do FR. Best timing recommendation is ONE attempt following +opk.

6. Douching carries risks that atomic feels don't justify the inconclusive data that would endorse it being a strong sway factor.

Other things to consider: intermittent fasting (like wait til noon for breakfast)...exercise decision...aspartame? caffeine? alcohol?

Good luck!! (again, I'm learning too, so take all above with a grain of salt...unless you're going low sodium...haha)

Hi. Sorry it took me awhile to get back to you.

I think aspirin is safer and you can read about it here http://genderdreaming.com/forum/ttc-girl-best-practices/7086-how-lower-ph-via-supps-cran-baby-aspirin-aspartame-other-techniques.html

Do not give anyone with high blood pressure, Sudafed.

Everythign we do for swaying pink cuts odds of conception.

My recommendation is to try for one attempt at pos OPK

Re douching, we don't really know if douching is that successful because very few people did it and those who did, may have been the strictest of the strict in other ways. I know of tons of people who got opposites with douching on IG so I'm not convinced those numbers are legit. If you want to include it that's up to you of course, just leave out the RepHresh and go in expecting BFN because it does really reduce odds of conception.

Whether or not to do FR is at your discretion - I think the thing that matters most is the sticking to one attempt part. The frequency, really has seemed like it's getting in the way of conception with one attempt. So if you're ok with frequency and DH can manage, give it a try the first month but expect BFN and I would drop that before anything else.
