View Full Version : Could this mean a boy pregnancy?

I got a (faint) bfp tonight and I really thought AF was coming. I've been pregnant twice before, once I m/c at 8 weeks and then I got my dd. both pregnancies I had this feeling where I just knew I was pregnant and it was way before I got the bfp. A combination of extreme fatigue, an unsettled stomach and just a feeling I guess that something was different. I didn't have that feeling this time. I also didnt have a lot of gas and heartburn like the other times.
This time I noticed a few irregular heart beats. I also craved steak like crazy the other day. With my dd even the thought of red meat or even poultry made me sick. And the non pregnant me doesn't like meat. The only similarity so far is fatigue
Does this sound like a boy pregnancy? Just wondering why it would feel so different to last time

you cannot tell gender from symptoms. I've had 5 pg and they are all diff. and all similar in their own ways.
Congrats!!!

Thank you! I'm still in disbelief and so nervous because I just don't feel pregnant. I mean, I feel different but it's nothing like I remember or was expecting

Just wanted to say congratulations and hope you get your DG. Although I have only been PG once, I am pretty sure that each time is different according to others who have experienced multiple PGs.

Only having girls I can't help you, but I don't think cravings help with gender - with dd1 I couldn't get enough vinegar, with dd2 it was orange pop!
I'm still so chuffed you got your bfp, it really is never over til af shows!!!

Congrats!!! I do tend to agree with everyone else, you can't predict gender based on pg symptom comparision. I have 2 dds and each pg was totally different, symptoms and all. Good luck to you though!

Do you remember how they were different? Foods you craved, how you felt etc?

DD1 was basically a symptom free pg, except for usual tender breasts and occasional headaches, no food aversions, no specific cravings. DD2 I had very tender breasts, more frequent headaches, and nausea and vomiting up until about wk 24. I also hated salads (which I had loved up until then) and I always craved fast food (which I usually am not a big fan of). They were so different it was crazy. With DD2 I was also more sensitive to smells than with dd1 and sometimes if a smell was very obnoxious I would instantaneously get nauseated and sometimes start dry heaving. The only thing that was consistant was my craving for mint choc. chip ice cream...lol.

I understand you're just asking out of curiosity but I just have to be a buttinsky and say, I BEG ya not to start analyzing your symptoms. I've been preggo many times and talked to probably a thousand pg ladies by now and there is NO pattern here to be found. Cravings are 100% related to what you personally like to eat and what your body may need for pg and nothing to do with a tiny ball of cells that doesn't even have a tongue LOL. The Y chromosome is not even DOING anything at the point in pg you are presently at and so there could not be any difference in your hormones at this stage of the game.

Congrats!
With DS1 I craved ALL food, I would eat anything!
DS2 I wanted MEAT, I put so much weight on eating lamb biryanis (yuck)
DS3 I wanted ice pops and strawberries.
I dont think its down to gender tbh...

Don't say you don't feel pregnant. The baby will hear you and that's when they let you know they're there with some constipation and excessive nausea!

My symptoms hardly differed at all with all three pregnancies...first DD, then DS, then a m/c at 12 weeks. CONGRATS to you!

With Liam I never thought I could get more sick. Then with Ezra it was twice as bad. I didn't gain any weight. No cravings but I don't like food enough. Unbelievably tired both times.
