After looking through google searches I've found a little but not a lot of info regarding gender and hcg levels.

Apparently high levels are correlated with carrying a girl and low levels with carrying a boy.

Anyone have any thoughts or experience?

My level was 1530 at 5 weeks 5 days.

Thanks for your thoughts!

Its pretty individual to the baby and not really related to gender. Especially when the mother is factored in as well. Some women have sky-high HCG in every pregnancy no matter gender (me) and some remain low no matter what. It's why there is a such a range in the "average" numbers.

A good friend of mine just delivered her third child after two sons. This one had much quicker implantation and her HCG was much higher at every stage than her previous pregnancy (she didn't have labs with her first) and it was a third boy.

This doesn't work and please do not read anything into it.

There may be a trend in that direction but it's like the way most men are taller than most women - while overall that's true, there are still tons of women that are taller than tons of men.

I have a full explanation on the second page of this thread http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/30461-knowing-your-baby-gender-your-pregnancy-test.html
