I was a lurker over at IG for several years. First child, no sway. Second child, read up about swaying but as a teacher my work schedule dictated that I be pregnant within a certain time frame and i badly wanted another babe so I didn't sway. Now I'm on to baby #3 after two healthy beautiful boys. I was pretty ready to start my sway attempt in october using what i had learned from IG but then i started surfing this site and i am loosing my mind now. I feel like I know nothing! I woudl still really like to begin trying in October but I am worried about not having enough time on the diet. I am so confused as to whether one diet is superior to the other, the weaknesses of IG etc. I am also super confused about timing. I had planned on trying for o12. but now after reading the o12 critique i am nervous about that as well! To get my boys basically we BD'd every fertile day for five days. My husband is a "natural frequent releaser" so I am thinking abstinance. I also have issues getting a positive opk but i know from charting and cm that i ovulate every thirteen days. BC of the probs with opks (they tested my ovulation at my ob and i am ovulating) i am worried about doing cutoff. UGH. Any reassurance and ideas on how to get my head around all this new info? Thanks ladies!! :)

Hey & welcome! I am by no means an expert, so I purchased a personalised sway plan from Atomic Sagebrush. It truly took the guess work out & the plan comes with six months coaching from Atomic. I think six weeks seems to be the average minimum for diet. Wishing you all the best :) oh & have not checked out the IG site, but I am sure some others have.

I am also a former IG member. genderdreaming made perfect sense to me, and it is based on science rather than wodooo stuff with ions etc.
At first I wanted to combine IG and Genderdreaming, but with time I am convinced that if swaying exists, then genderdreaming is the best place to be on! I have bought a Personalized sway plan ans strongly recommend it!
Good luck..

Hello & welcome! I was on IG for awhile to before I found here. I wasted a lot of the past year putting off attempts because I was so stressed & on info overload. I went back & forth but the more I read, the more things here made sense. Don't know if you have gone to the complete index or not yet but there is a ton of info there including a comparison of IG & GD.
Also I'm not an expert either so I would highly recommend the plan. It really is made specific for each person plus if you happen to be a super control freak OCD person like I am it lets you relax & go with the flow a whole lot easier.;)
I'm planning on my 1st attempt in early Oct & only started LE seriously about a week ago so I think your fine on that esp depending how much weight you have to loose(I have plenty LOL).
As for timing o+12 never made any sense to me & seemed really hard to figure out. My cycles have always been a bit crazy. Than as I thought about all of my previous kids my one DD was conceived after 1 BD attempt right around O. the only reason I remember this as she is 9 is because I just had surgery & felt bad for DH waiting through my recovery so we DTD 1 time as soon as the DR ok'd it. So we will be doing 1 attempt at positive OPK.
Hope some of the info helps!

Hi and welcome. Our stats are here (please note, unlike IG we include everyone in our stats regardless of the type of sway they did) : http://genderdreaming.com/forum/trying-conceive-girl/25157-complete-pink-swaying-statistics-spreadsheet.html
and a brief overview of the differences between the two sites is here: http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/7507-ig-vs-gd-swaying-whats-difference-who-atomic-sagebrush-anyway.html
In my siggie below there is a link to the complete index (you need to C and p into browser bar) and that has a lot of info in it.
Anything that doesn't make sense to you and you want a more thorough explantaion just let me know and i can answer - it's hard for me to go thru and explain everything without knowing specifics of what you want to know.
