REd Raspberry Leaf Tea??

I'm 27 weeks today...is that the third trimester or is 28 weeks? Also. Wen do I start red raspberry leaf tea? I know some ladies started it at the beginning if third trimester. How many cups a day? Did you start anything else? TIA

Hi , I think 27 wks is a bit early , I had 3 cups per day from 36 wks which resulted in a quick and easy birth . That was nearly 2 yrs ago , hopefully someone has up to date advice :)
Also took EPO orally from 38 wks , 2 morning and night .

Personally I would wait for 32 weeks because it can cause wicked BH contrax (or at least it does for me) and I always felt better only using it when bubs has a pretty good chance of making it on the outside!!!

Red raspberry starting at 34 weeks, EPO at 36-37.
Depending, EPO works quick. So shouldn't start too early.

EPO softens the cervix.

Effaces. Gets rid of your mucus plug.

EPO if you insert it vaginally, can help get rid of your mucus plug (not unlike having sex with hubby. Personally it didn't work for me - my plug def. came out right away but then nothing happened.

Oh must try the EPO then, is it just the tablets you take orally or is there special ones for inserting? Is it safe?

Congrats on your baby! I always need to be induced because of high blood pressure:( which did you start at 30 weeks? The RRL tea or EPO?

RLT I was induced at 38.6 by just breaking my water

My ds3 I started the tea at 36 weeks and that was an induced two hour labour with pit

I drank it for ds2 and that was a 30 min labor I just don't remember what week I started it In

Ds1 I didn't drink it and he was a 10 hour labour

I decided against the EPO because it's a blood thinner and the last thing I needed or wanted was complications

Also, has anyone heard of Earth Mamas Third Trimester Tea? And if its ok? Ingredients are;
Red raspberry leaf
Spearmint leaf
Stinging nettle leaf
Oat straw
Chamomile flower
Rosehips
Alfalfa

I asked my midwife (brought in the box) and she said sounded ok to her, but nothing is certain as there aren't mass studies.
