My temperatures have been very low. Is this a good sign, bad sign, or no sign at all?

How low have they been and for how long? They should rise slightly after O...

Oh I know about the rise after ovulation, but my temps prior to ovulation have been in the low 96's. Usually my temps run higher then that. I was hoping it meant something good.

Kaseybaby, ideally you want your pre ov temps to be higher to sway pink. When your pre ov temps increase its a sigh that your progesterone is increasing and your estrogen decreasing which is how you want your hormones to be when swaying for a girl. Do you drink peppermint tea? Cause temp decrease can be a sign that the peppermint is not good for your sway. Have you started the diet yet?

I have started my diet, but haven't been hard core about it. I am a small girl, and I am going to be ttc in July. I am already down 8 lbs, so I don't want to lose too much weight prior to the month before the sway.

I started drinking peppermint tea this week, and my supplements last week, although my cranberry hasn't come in yet. But you know what I just thought of, is my temp is taken at 5:30 am, which is way earlier then I have ever taken it before. This morning I took it at 8:30 and it was 97.7. So do you think I should keep drinking the tea? 97.7 is not really low at all.

If you took your temp at a different time of day, then it's just a fluke.

I adjusted the temperature so it was like taking it at 5:30 am.

I took it at 8:30 it was 9.7 which adjusts to 97.10.

I am very well versed in BBT as i have been using NFP for over 6 years. I just never had to take the temp so early and totally forgot that the earlier you take your temp the lower it is. But it is good to know that the higher the temps the better. :)

Wow you are an expert then! Please feel free to chime in on the temping threads because I don't have anywhere near as much experience with NPF as you do!!!

I don't know anything about this. does being cold have anything to do with it? I am cold ALL the time, my friends make fun of me b/c I am always dressed like I am going to climb everest. anyways, could your temps have dropped due to losing weight, I am small too...
