More questions please, my attempt is soon :)

Hi everyone,

I am taking Vitex for the first time this month. I am also having an attempt this month. I have been taking Vitex, 2 x 400mg pills per day from CD1 through to today which is cycle day 16. I usually O around CD17 - CD 20. Yesterday and today I started getting EWCM which is normal for me, I usually have around 5 days of it before O. So my question is should I continue with the Vitex until a +OPK or should I stop it now seeing that I usually ovulate around the next few days? Also, I am getting ferning on my saliva scope and along with my EWCM this would suggest that I am going to ovulate as normal this month. Is it possible to have your normal cycle even while taking Vitex? Does it not mess up some peoples cycles?

Then, unrelated - I'm doing a one attempt at +OPK, should I jump and dump or lie down for say 10 minutes afterwards? What is the current thought process on this - as I'm only doing one attempt I'd like to maximise my chances of pregnancy but would welcome advice.

And lastly, I have been on the diet for a little more than 10 weeks, yet I'm still getting a noticeable amount of EWCM. This is freaking me out. I can't douche or do jellies as I am very prone to UTI's and I have tried this in the past and every time without fail it has set my bladder off. I have also been on an antihistamine since CD 5 none of which has made any difference. So, is it still possible to get a girl with EWCM??

Yes it's totally possible to have normal cycles on Vitex. I can't really tell you what to do short of having a crystal ball - just go with what your gut instinct says.

If you've only been trying for a month or two I would go with laying down for 5 min. with one attempt. IF you do more than one attempt, you may want to do immediate J and D. Or, if someone were doing a lot of other stuff to sway (like douching, jelly, antishistamine, etc) then you may want to lay down longer. Again that is not something that I can say for sure, you have to just pick your poison and go with it because no one realy knows for sure.

You do need some EWCM in order to get pg at all. I had some the month i got my girl. We don't know that CM makes any difference at all, it's just a theory, a guess really. There are blue swayers who do all they can to get boys and increase their CM as much as possible and still get opposites.
