Hi moms of girls! I was just wondering if any of you did not exercise before conceiving your DD? I'm feeling really guilty about not doing lots of cardio with my sway (in fact, I'm doing the "lose muscle" by way of doing nothing :worry:) Did any of you just lose weight just by eating less before TTC? I have a little over 4 weeks left before TTC, so I need to decide now if I should hit the road with my running shoes or not....

I am naturally thin and athletic. I did not work out other than playing tennis before DD1 and nothing before 2 and 3 but I was back at my pre pregnancy weight before both. My dad told me I needed to put on weight when I was early on with 3 and he did not know yet! I told him no problem!

I never did any exercise:oops: not before dd1, nor before dd2.
I WAS skinny ( before boy diet lol!) and feeling exhausted most of the time.

I have become very lazy with the last 3 girls, which is a big part of what I think swayed me pink, lost all my muscle since getting a car 5 years ago!

I worked out a lot, ate very little (blood sugar all over the place probably). I am sure my body thought it was famine time.

I didn't exercise before conceiving DD1. I was really skinny and I didn't eat well, ate lots of soy (soy milk), etc. Not the healthiest diet ever and I can totally see how I got a DD that time around!

A lot of people didn't exercise when TTC pink. That's a good way to go too. No worries if you can't do the exercise.

I think the question that also needs to be asked with this though, are these women thin and naturally skinny, average, a little overweight, or very overweight? I didn't exercise at all with my three boys either, but I was probably 5-15 lbs above the weight I really should of been at. I think if you are overweight by 10-30 lbs it is worth doing the cardio 6-7 days a week if you can stick to it. I think this gets the estrogen and testosterone down, increases progesterone, help maintain low blood sugar, reduces body fat, and makes you lose weight (this makes you more acidic).
I COMPLETELY agree with you. I did no exercise with DS 1 (although I walked a lot) and moderate with DS 2 and 3, and none with DS 4. I was gaining weight with DS 1, 3, and 4 though and with all four boys, I could have easily lost 5-25 pounds and still been at a healthy weight. You're going to find all different kinds of patterns of course, because it's not what you did that sways, it's how what you did affected your body chemistry.

No exercise with dd1 and was a normal weight. No exercise with dd2 and was 20lbs over my target weight.
