View Full Version : V8 juice any way to make it taste better?

I just gulped down a small 5oz can of V8 juice, I didn't like the taste :(
Is there anything I can do to make it taste better? I don't want to stop it as I read its one of the best juices for swaying blue. Just looking for a way to make it taste better?
Also, how many cans should I drink a day? Is it only from AF-O or everyday?

I drank the V8 fusion instead... not sure if that was recommended or not, but I couldn't stand regular V8 either. I don't think one thing will make or break your sway. I just tried to focus on eating more small meals throughout the day, and made sure to have a protein plus carb with every meal/snack.

try drinking it at room temperature or even warmed on the stove. I love V8 but I don't like it at all when it's cold.
V8 Fusion is fine, the reason why reg. v8 is so good is because it's naturally low in calories and you can gain a lot of weight on blue diets otherwise. Avoid V8 splash though, it has artificial sweeteners in it.

....just seen this it made me laugh...I LOVE V8 juice and used to drink it all the time....maybe that is why I have conceived 3 boys!!!
just hold your nose and down it!

I drank a can a day all throughout my cycle, I hated it but I would just hold my nose and chug it down

if you don't like it, don't eat it. eat more veg instead.
The foods aren't magic things you have to have a certain amount of, just include more fruits and veg in your diet. V8 is an easy way to get a couple servings of veg in, for not a lot of effort and calories, but nowhere is it written that you must include it or your sway will fail.

I like V8 cold, with a lemon slice squeezed in it and sometimes stevia.

Thank you The Anchor and WashingtonPromise for those suggestions. I've made a goal to drink V8 everyday and then start drinking the bigger 11 oz cans after I finish the small cans! I think I'm getting better. It's not as nasty as it was when I drank it for the first time :)

drink it through a straw and at room temp.
I love V8 but just don't feel like drinking it some times.
I have been drinking coconut water every days from AF-O for many months now and I hate coconut water. If I mix it with pineapple juice and drink it through a straw not as much of the taste stays in my mouth....after all these months I am used to it but I still don't like it.

I drank a TON of spicy V8 with nutritional yeast mixed in. It got a little thick, and wasn't as good tasting with the nutritional yeast in it, though it was a good way to get in the yeast as well. I really like V8 juice, though.

I've been looking into coconut water. Did you see a big difference with it? Did it make your ph more alkaline?

What is the yeast for? I thought that too much would cause yeast infections? Is it to make the body more alkaline?

Rachel, I don't care about pH. When I started swaying with A-gender last year I tried to manipulate my ph and NOTHING made it change at all.
I now subscribe to the HE/Gender dreaming theory of
improving maternal condition=boys
and
declining maternal condition=girls.
Coconut water has had good results. Not exactly sure why, I'm too swamped with other stuff to figure it all out but whatever work I will do!!

The reason we started doing the coco water is because a lot of people subscribe to the idea that potassium = boys and coco water has a lot of potassium for very few cals (as does V8 for that matter) and getting potassium from diet is much much safer than taking potassium supplements. The reason we try to get it from lower cals is because the boy diets can be fattening, so getting a lot of potassium from few calories is best to try to prevent excess weight gain.
Nutritional yeast has a lot of good vitamins and minerals in it and it's in a form that the body can use easily. Also has some vegetarian protein and again, it's without many cals at all.
You're not going to find many people around here too worried about the alkaline jazz. Most of the people who are on this site, are "IG refugees" and got pH opposites, I myself got a boy with pH of 4.5 but there are tons of blue swayers who got girls wiht high pH too. We have kinda moved on from pH to improving our overall fertility and physical condition and gotten good results.

I drank coconut water AF-O during my sway for the reason Atomic listed above, I wanted to increase my potassium without having to take a supplement or pack on too much weight

Make it into a bloody mary!! :beer: (I'm a pink swayer...maybe you're not supposed to have alcohol?)
Seriously though, I love making V8 into a (even virgin) bloody by adding lemon juice, worchestershire sauce, tabasco sauce, lemon juice, green olive juice, celery salt, and garlic salt. Mix and serve over ice.
I also add V8 into the crockpot with chicken stock and lots of veggies (usually spinach, kale, zucchini, squash, green beans, carrots, onions, and tomatoes) and spices to make a soup that I'd eat daily alongside the rest of our food - my kids love it and it really loads them up with nutrients and antioxidants. We would go through 7 quarts of this soup a week!
Annnnnnd, no wonder I have 2 boys ;)
