I am feeling down. I just can't stick to the diet. I don't have the will, money to buy veggies, or ability/ time to cook 2 meals( family one and Mine). Last month we abstained and tried at + opk. This month we thought would try everyday ( dh can't fr bc of religion, so dtd and RepHresh). Tonight is a no go bc 2 yr old is in bed.... So we have 1 day of no release....
And I am wondering if I can handle 6 boys in a row .... Everything tends to leaving me too down

I didn't cook much for myself - try low salt rice crackers with a smear of low fat philli, sliced cucumbers or low salt bread with strawberry jam for lunch with a handful of white grapes or peeled apple.
For dinner pasta with 1/3 of a raw peeled grated courgette(zucchini) grated through, squeeze lemon juice, dash olive oil and about 10g of parmesan. You can also easily fit a jacket potato into your allowance with iceberg, cucs and a bit of cheddar. If the rest of your family are having pasta or rice or noodles just take some out for yourself before you add the sauce.
If this is too hard you could eat mainly teh same as your family but minus the meat and lower fat. Any change from the norm is good.

I had alot of jacket pots with low fat cheese and roasted veg without skins Or pasta with abit of philli and roasted veg both cheap and u can just add extra fillings for family or chicken to the pasta. I found it hard too but once u get into a rroutine ur be fine. I fpund my food shopping bill went down. Ive just found out im having a girl its all worth it. Keep it up good luck

Lol I just have to say I love your name lol
I for one hate veggies... I don't eat them period... Lol I lived off of white rice and gum ... I had chicken too tho cause I get sick when I don't eat meat but I'm a big fan of red meat and totally cut that out ... But clearly my sway failed ;) love the little guy to pieces tho... Wouldn't trade his penis for a vagina in a million year lmao

I was broke as can be when doing LE Diet - you don't have to eat a lot of veggies on it, it's just one way to get potassium in. I ate exactly the same stuff my family did at dinnertime, I just avoided the meat and had a smaller portion. Tell me more about what you think the LE Diet is. Sometimes people say this and it turns out that it's just a matter that they don't really understand that you can have a lot of different variations of LE - all you need to do is stick with the 1500-1800 cals, 40-50 g protein, 25-60 g fat (get 20-30% your day's cals from fat), be sure you're getting enough potassium for your health, and cut back on fortified foods and vitamins. Some people limit sodium, but I don't think that even sways, and it makes it a lot harder to stick to the diet overall. I didn't stick to the sodium thing at all when I got DD. That's all you need to do and so whatever diet YOU can make, can still be LE Diet.
Another thing to consider is adding exercise, I know it's really hard with kids but it's gotten even better resutls than diet, so if you can't do diet, maybe doing exercise instead could be a different way to go.

On a side note, atomic, the only veggies I really have are courgette and leek. Is it really essential to peel them? Ive noticed lots of people peeling them? I just figure I have to get potassium somewhere?

NO, you don't have to peel them. That was an early idea to placate some people who were paranoid about nutrients in vegetables, but veg just have so little nutrients in them when compared to other stuff that it felt quite silly and I no longer even recommend it really.

LE I think skip breakfast, and try to limit your food. I usually skip breakfast, have coffee if anything ( a must or I might kill someone ;) ). Lunch is usually what ever I can find and supper is chicken( hard to go no meat), loads of veggie , and side( usually bread or rice) occasional potatoes bc it's what we have from garden. I am trying to count calories bc I have 10 extra lbs have not list in 1 yr... Try to eat 1200 cal / day Tho bc not losing I have to b eating more. Stress is an issue( I have 7 boys in row need I say more), I am not sure of how much sodium ect I am getting and honestly just thinking about tracking that is stressing. When I look back to dd I lost I had just had oral surgery and could not eat bc of infection. Was about same weight am now .

Don't worry about tracking sodium! You might increase your cals, actually - I think 1500 is the lower recommendation. I just have coffee in the mornings too; I agree it's impossible to do without, especially when fasting in the mornings!
What you're listing actually looks great to me -- perhaps even just doing a smaller portion for yourself of the meat at dinner and you wouldn't need to have loads of veggies at every meal. Produce absolutely does get expensive! I don't cook separate meals for myself and my DH eats paleo (meat, oil, green veg) so no meat isn't happening around here either! Honestly, I've discovered all my boys don't really pay attention to what's on my plate...so just serve yourself mainly (or exclusively! Seriously, I bet they don't notice!) the rice/bread/potato and a veg if there is one (ok if not). It really does look like you're on the right track though, so I think you might just need to change to telling yourself "good job! I'm doing well!" instead of thinking you're not/can't doing it...because it looks like you ARE! :)
Sorry you're feeling so down. There are lots of people here to listen and sympathize with what you're going through! I bet that's one wild and loud household, but it makes me smile to picture all the brothers! They will be so lucky to have each other throughout their lives. Good luck to you! :hug2:

I am finding it really really easy! Makes me think I am doing it wrong!! I do love my veggies though.
I have coffee in the morning with skimmed milk & sweetner
Skip brekki
Lunch is at 115 usually of weight watchers (uk low fat brand) white bagel, ww soup and either a pot of jelly or yogurt. I am always full afterwards.
I drink cranberry fruit tea all day
Tea is usually rice with veggies of pepper, corguette, leek, mushrooms etc... with a splash of low salt soy sauce
I also have a snack after tea every night or a ww muffin or a low fat crisp brand and sometimes a glass of wine.
I also have enough allowance to have eggs too and I have cream cheese & salad wraps. In fact I eat loads and I know I will get a slapped wrist but I never reach over 1100 cals and usually have 20gof fat and 30-40g of protien. I am loosing weight but am not hungry or deprived at all xx

I'm finding it very hard to stick to the diet as well, but for different reasons. I'm a snacker. End of story. I have been my entire life and I feel like I'm starving myself if I don't snack lol but not only that, I'm just not too interested in swaying. I just want our last BABY! DH wanted to sway pink and I agreed but it's sooooo hard being home ALL day and not snack. My willpower is ZERO!! Ugh I feel bad for DH because I feel like I'm letting him down. I'm honest with him and I tell him my cheats and how hard it is for me and although he says it's ok and he understands, I don't know how he'll feel if we get DS4 :(

hi girls sorry to crash but this caught my eye, i posted something very similar this time last year, i'd been swaying since june was sick of the le diet and really really struggling. the lovely ladies i was swaying with supported me and i'm so glad i stuck with it.
i got my bfp oct 17th last year, had the xmas pressive ever when i found out a week before christmas from my cvs that i was expecting my daughter and now she nearly three months old sleeping in my arms as i type.
Yes it was hard but she is more than worth it and looking back now its just a distant memory. i found everytime i went to cheat i asked myself what do i want more, that or my daughter. i don't know if i just got lucky, if she was mean't for me or if the swaying worked but my lifestyle was completely different than it was with the three boys. It really is worth a go and although it may feel like a lifetime and a huge hill to climb its not for long and for those of you that really want a little lady you will regret it after you let things slip and the what if's creep in.
Good luck to all of you and remember the odd treat won't hurt its the overall picture that counts, fingers crossed you'll all be happily pregnant soon x

LE Diet is:
1500-1800 cals
40-50 g protein (vegetarian is best)
20-30% days cals from fat (about 25-60 g depending on how many cals you eat) and Omega 6 and transfats are better than Omega 3 and saturated fat
2500-3500 mg potassium minimum
You can limit sodium (absolute minimum is 700-1000) but you do not have to
Reducing intake of multivitamins and highly fortified food
When possible, choose lower nutrient foods over higher nutrient foods BUT there are no forbidden foods.
if tracking sodium is stressful to you, DON'T track sodium. I don't even think it sways at all. I got my girl eating tons of sodium after my 4th boy where I was limiting it.
I had coffee in the morning, caffeine is allowed on LE Diet.

:agree: I also found it very very very easy to stick to. I tend to prefer vegetables and carbs anyway tho.
Mrs.M I would love to see you up cals, fat, and protein just a hair, youi're not having quite enough there (no wrist slap, just a reminder!) ;)

I found it much easier when I stayed busy as well. Even if you have to go out to the shops or to the playground in the afternoons.
