I just saw my OB a few days ago and he said that my cycles are messed up because I'm now underweight he wants me to gain a good 11 lbs and to TTC up to a year before giving me Clomid. I have been on LE diet about 14 weeks have lost those 11lbs that he wants me to gain. Right now I'm standing at 106-108 lbs (I'm 5 ft. 3 in) he said he wants me back at 115 lbs. Ugh! What can I do? I'm still taking Folic Acid, skipping breakfast, 60 min cardio 6 days a week (which is getting harder and harder each day), drinking peppermint tea, I'm now dtd every 4 days instead of every 10 days. I'm still doing j &d (after 3-5 min) with half applicator rephresh and use Aspartame. Is there anything I can do different? I'm holding steady at those 106-108 lbs, but he really wants me at 115lbs. for the sake of my cycle. I don't know if I can go a year of TTC on LE diet and to top it off it seems like I'm getting a yeast infection:(...Atomic and anyone else please keep me some advice.

Personally what I would do is follow your doctor's recommendations if you're too thin and its messing with your cycles. If you can't get pregnant whats the point ??? you may lose the pregnancy on top of every thing else if you have nothing to sustain it. If you're maintaining now adding a few hundred calories won't hurt and it might sort your cycle out so you can get pregnant.

So true...I did up my calories to 1800-2000 just to maintain, but I've been exercising for soooo long that It's making me tired. I just wish I could get a bfp soon, but being underweight is probably going to inhibit my chances ;(

You can continue to do all but drop the exercise. Remember the advice was 60mins a day, 6 days a week minimum - or NOTHING at all. So if you dropped your exercise you would not be buring the cals your body needs and still be swaying xx HTH

Coyleof7, you really think so? I'm so ready to drop the exercise. I'm tired I've been exercising over a year now and with the LE diet and getting off work really late, I push myself 6 days a week and it's so tiresome. I just don't want to sway blue by dropping it although, I started off with cardio and weight lifting, then moved on to nothing but extreme cardio (running) and now just stroller walking...so maybe dropping it will be my solution :(

I am far from expert on advice, but I agree with pp. if you are having messed up cycles from being under weight. You are probably burning your calories with the exercise. If you can drop that and maintain your 1800 cal, then you should gain some weight. If cycles are messed up you won't get pg pink or blue. Good luck!

Your body will adjust to being at a lower weight over time. I do not think you need to regain 11 lbs. Your metabolism can and will adjust. I would add in a full fat yogurt daily and 4 eggs a week. 8-15 mg zinc taken 3x a week if you aren't already, 18-30 mg iron taken another 3 days a week, 150 IU iodine taken daily thru the cycle.
Please drop j and d and RepHresh now. Time to get pg.

I recommend a compromise with the exercise, the "nothing at all" recommendation only works if you are starting diet at the same time so i would not have you drop it all together. What about dialing it back to 4 days a week, would that help?? That will not be moderate exercise really, because you've had so long on exercise already, it will more be like you are maintaining where you're at.

to clarify I do not want you to go from intense exercise to no exercise, i thinkyour body could interpret that as an improvement in condition, i want you to continue with moderate exercise instead as a maintenance

Thanks ladies for all your inputs. I will follow that advice atomic AMD yes 4 days of exercise is more doable than 6 days! I will keep you updated on how it goes. Once again, thanks! ;)
