Hey, gals. I got a BFP this week. I don't know why, because we weren't trying yet (still talking about the possibility of trying) and used barriers (femcap with spermicide) until 72 hrs post OPK. But I don't know how DD3 happened either. Anyway, I am in a panic. I know DH will have a super hard time dealing with a DD4, which is one reason we hadn't decided to try for another yet.

Our BD timing was certainly not blue friendly. Plus I've been taking St Johns Wort regularly.

But, I have been exercising more (20 minute HIIT workouts). I gave up coffee in the spring, and drink a mug of green tea every morning. I use coconut oil for all kinds of stuff. I've been snacky and eating more than usual. I have maintained my weight (my BMI is right on the edge between normal and over-weight). I've been taking fish oil, folic acid, prenatal, and D3, and DHEA. Lifestye wise I've conquered some big hurdles in the area of time/home management and feel pretty good about those accomplishments.

Do you think we have a chance at blue? I'm so worried that it's impossible because our timing was so pink (although I will say I had a good bit of CM). And I'm bummed that I didn't get to do all of the sway tactics I'd planned.

You always have a chance of a boy!!! I've seen people get boys doing full on pink sways for two years running!!! And you were doing a lot of blue friendly stuff. Sending you all my blue dust.

I think you have a great chance at a boy. In my opinion exercise and diet are the most important and it sounds like you had that down. Sometimes it's a blessing in disguise to get a BFP before going all out on a full sway, it sort of takes the pressure of swaying out of the equation (because it can be pretty stressful) Congrats on your BFP and my fingers are crossed you have a little blue bean baking in there :)

You were doing something, its not as though you were just bopping along eating your normal way, you had made changes.
So yes, you have every chance in the world of having a boy. I have know way more GGGB families than GGGG.
And like Atomic says, some people to full blown girl sways for months on end and still get a boy! Keep us posted....good luck!

Thanks. I've known a GGGG family, a GGGGGG family, and my great grandmother was one in a GGGGGGGG family. I'm just worried that I'm so prone to pink that it'll take a miracle for blue. But it is reassuring to be reminded that anything is possible.
