It seems like since I started swaying that I have been spotting for a few days before AF. Is that normal? Anyone else have/had that issue?

shouldihope, I just posted a similar thread in the general swaying forum. I never spotted before swaying either, but I'm swaying boy. If you google it (or read on here even) you will see it CAN be a sign of low-progesterone. It can also be nothing. Unless you have a progesterone test run there appears to be no way to know. Is your LP still a good length?
How many days of spotting are you having? I'm about 2-3. I don't think girl supps include fish oil but I've been told that as a blood thinner that could be part of why I'm now having the spotting. Are you taking b6? I just started to see if it helps.

I am not taking B6. I was at first and then I read it sways boy I think. I am taking Calcium, Magnesium, Cranberry, Folic Acid, and then Vitex AF until O. I don't totally understand all the LP stuff. I know my last AF started April 27th. I O'd on May 7th and I think AF is due May 25th. Not sure if that is good or what the sways. That part of swaying is all a little confusing to me. The food and exercise part I have got down though. I will look up the low progesterone. Not sure what to do about it if that is it. Maybe they have symptoms listed.

This is the thread I posted earlier; the link to the progesterone/b6 (and other ways to raise it) thread is in there if you haven't seen it.
Are you unsure how to calculate LP? If your AF started 4/27, that's day 1, so O on 5/7 is CD11, and if your AF isn't due til 5/25 you've got a nice long LP of about 17/18 days. Really anything over 10 is considered healthy enough to get pg and most women fall into a 13/14 LP, so you should be a-ok.

The Luteal Phase is simply the amount of time from ovulation to when your period starts. It's usually around 14 days. I've seen it online that it can possibly last up to 16 days but in all the cases I've personally seen, people with 16 day LPs were actually having a chemical pregnancy and had BFPs. People also mistakenly pinpoint their ovulation, or can release two eggs at once, lengthening their ovulation, which can make the LP seem longer than it really is.
Shorter LP's are much much more common. LP of 10-12 days is quite common and while you still can get pg with an LP that short, it does make it a lot more difficult.
If you're Oing on May 7th and getting AF May 25th, that is actually LONGER than what an LP really is supposed to be. Your LP should be 12-14 days after your O day. Either you didn't actually O on May 7, or else your period is going to come a few days earlier than you think it should. So if you for sure Oed on May 7, and then started spotting on May 21st, that is FINE, it's not spotting at all, it's just AF arriving and taking a couple days to get going. It is possible that you could be one of those rare people with a 16 day LP but in that case it doesn't matter if you spot a couple days before O because 14 days is plenty of time for your eggo to implant.
Variations in LP do not sway in any way. You need to have an LP of 12-14 days just to get pg, because any shorter than that and the fertilized egg may not implant properly.
The main symptom of low prog is spotting before your period. There are several vague symptoms that people attribute to low prog like "moodiness", "brain fog", and "PMS" but these are so random and hard to prove that they are kinda useless in determining anything about your prog levels.

Oh and cran can be a blood thinner, so the spotting may be because you're taking cran. If you want to, you can try dialing back the cran a bit and seeing if that helps.

Thanks. It is just different than my usual AF so I was curious about it. It seems to have started since starting girl diet and supps. Went down a little on cranberry recently so we will see.
