I am very familiar with different types of cm. however my cm in the past months at lh surge have been ewcm and very stretchy. This month I'm quite confused bc although it looks like ewcm, it doesn't really stretch. When touching it on toilet paper, it kind of feels a bit dry but has that shiny clear look to it. I'm a person who has issues trying to get cm from cervix bc I get grossed out by trying to do so. However I usually have an abundance of stretchy ewcm on tp. I even tried sticking a qtip into cervix to see of cm was stretchy and while the tip was a little wet nothing would stretch. I know when we dtd a few times, it wasn't dry up there. Would this type of cm still be considered ewcm due to it looking like it but not having the stretchy part? I'm assuming this cm is not favorable for ttc a girl. Any info is appreciated.

I don't want anyone going up into the cervix for CM anyway.
If it doesn't stretch, then technically it isn't CM and unless it's like pure water then it is ~probably~ ok for a girl. Honestly, we know so little about the CM/gender that I don't think anyone should read too much into it anyway. Recent studies have shown that type of CM alone is not reliable for determining where you are in relation to ovulation - you can have EWCM long before O and even afterwards, and then no EWCM at O. Both X and Y sperm seem to need EWCM to make it to the egg, so you can def. conceive girls with EWCM. I got my girl with some EWCM.

Like Atomic said, I would look at it like, my body is changing, it's different than it used to be...which is a good sign that the diet (and whatever else you're doing to sway) is working for you.
