We finally had our first real attempt in what has ended up being a funny month with ovulation. I was 14 days into my cycle and that is usually the day I get positive opk. I decided to DTD as I ended up having creamy cm a few hours after opk and felt comfortable with the other aspects of my sway. My concern is that if I ovulate later than normal and I normally have a luteal phase of 12/13 days, will that be too short and is there anything I can do now to give myself the best possible chance of staying pregnant if this happens to be my month. I may try o+12 for good luck but not yet convinced. Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, just to be clear ... I think LP will be around 9 days this month and I'm concerned this is too short.

Your LP is tacked onto the end of when you ovulate. Your AF will just come a few days later. The two parts of your cycle operate independent of each other, one doesn't cause the other. When you ovulate late, you will then have whatever your LP was meant to be after that point.

Exactly what atomic said. Whoever I ovulate earlier, I just end up with a shorter cycle, my luteal phase doesn't change xxxx

Your LP is usually the most reliable part of your cycle. If you normally have a 12 day LP, that likely wont change more then a day or two.
