Yeah, if it is more just in his head, then not telling him might be a good answer. However, if it is something physical, then it's possible there's an easy fix like a pill he can take :-) The pain in the leg thing would scare me a little though, so hopefully he's willing to go get checked out by a doctor soon, simply for overall heath and safety reasons!
I know it's easier said than done, but just try and stay positive. I had to practically tell myself I didn't care if it happened at all in order for it to happen. With so much stress put on ourselves, I think it can have an effect on our bodies more than we think.
Good luck Boysway!! Hoping you can get things with your DH sorted out soon and get back on track :-)

Yes, the pain in the leg is a worry. He said it doesn't happen all the time though. We have had a couple of times where he hasn't had any ED problems. Oh, I have told hubby we will have a baby. He said, I'm not sure we will. I am determined though, it will happen when it's time. I'm not going to tell him when O is coming anymore. We don't bd much anyway and it's likely nothing will happen if I do tell him. I figure we might be in with more of a chance if I keep my mouth shut. I just hope these supps hurry up and turn up. He decided today he is going start making better choices and yes, he is still willing to go to the Drs :) It's a good start :)
Thank you :D

good luck Boysway! being positive is the key and yes trying to analyze issues and getting treatment promptly is important.
Crazycat do you have any symptoms?

July 8th, 2014, 11:31 PM
Yes, they finally hit pretty hard this weekend... Nausea on and off all day, needing to take a nap in the afternoon, and tender breasts mostly. I also just get screwy in the tummy in general, beyond nausea, with gas and loose stools and not so fun stuff :-( This is the hardest part!! How about you?

i have similar symptoms like you..not feeling like to do anything and getting tired easily.finding hard to cook as the smell of food makes nausea worse..brushing even making me feel vomit. would like this first trimester to get over fast.

I hope you feel better soon ladies. At least you have a good reason to feel off :)
Afm, I think I am doing alright. I have had 'signs' that could have very easily led me to throw in the towel for ttc our last baby. However I have remained positive. More vitamins purchased (almost ran out of some), more OPK's ordered, FF membership renewed as it was due to expire this month and GD coaching renewed. An expensive week for me :( I have decided not to tell dh when ovulation is coming up. We rarely bd anyway. If I tell him ovulation is near, it is highly likely we won't have any chance for an attempt. Still waiting on dh's supps though. Feeling a little ticked off. They were ordered from the states almost 4 weeks ago now :( Dh is also trying to eat better now (hallelujah, about time). I ordered him some X50 green tea. I really hope he likes it. It is supposed to help with weight loss. Fingers crossed because I think his weight might have a good deal to do with his issues.

What are the odds. Dh's supps finally arrived, the same day my OPK'S arrived :D I also ordered him two more bottles last night.

Hi ladies! Sorry I've been MIA, I've been lurking around though haha! Just wanted to let you know that in the end we decided not to go down the HT road as it wasn't really affordable for us if it didn't happen first go. And we decided that we are actually fine with either gender, we just want our little party of 3 😊
Now though, I can let u know that we are pregnant! I am actually 12 weeks and we decided not to say anything until we had a scan to make sure heartbeat and growth was good. I had that done today and all is on track! My obstetrician recommended I do the Panorama test (as I will turn 35 before bub arrives) to chk for the trisomy's etc, and we decided to chk gender too. So we have about 2 weeks til we find out. Fingers crossed for a nice healthy bub.
I am so so pleased for u ewpnx1 and crazycat! So wonderful that u have gotten BFPs.
Boysway, I know how frustrating it can be, but it sounds like things are starting to turn around for u, with DH improving his diet and the supps etc arriving. Stay strong and try relax (easier said than done I know) it's def going to happen for u xox

Wow, congrats Oncue!! That's fantastic news :-) You are a strong woman to be able to keep quiet on this site, lol. I am ridiculous and tell pretty much everyone I meet even though I'm still terrified something is going to go wrong. I just can't help it! When is your due date then? I supposed sometime in Jan? How exciting to be past the scary first trimester already!! Did you have many symptoms/nausea/etc? I have seen you lurking in the due date forum, but thought maybe you were just spending time in there because you know some of the mommies and such. Funny that you had ulterior motives :-) I bet it feels so great to finally be able to share the news!! Please keep us posted on the Paranorma testing. It's so cool that that's available these days.
Boysway, so glad your DH's supps finally arrived!! It sounds like you're getting things on track...I have a good feeling about all this!! :-)

Thanks crazycat! Yes it was hard not to spill the beans haha but DH wanted to be sure so I just went with the flow. I have been so sick though, which is always hard when you have no one to tell, spewing up every afternoon, and feeling so tired!! I feel lucky that DD1 & DD2 are young as if they had a busy schedule I just cldnt help at all!! DD1 fancies herself as a bit of a 'mum' so she has been an extraordinary help! Even just getting her and her little sis snacks or cleaning up haha, gotta love that.
I'm due 26th January, but as I will have to have a Caesarian section prob a week before that!
Yes I'm nervous for the Panorana test, so weird to think that they can know so much from a blood sample! Xx

Congrats Oncue..Yes either gender is fine with me too..hats off for having 3..i find quiet busy with thinking about two only..lol..i have been feeling very tired and not wanting to eat much.. social calendar had been busy with work so dint come online and missed out the news!! but here i am today is day off so catching up on this..i have told a few people now..Crazy cat have you told your boss? I am planning to tell after 8 weeks at least..i am not telling the relatives and friends unless 3 months are over..i am a bit superstitious on these things and want to avoid..Ladies do you have same symptoms or different? I have pretty much same symptoms.. So i think its a girl..i am craving same food items that i craved with DD. More tires this time as i have a toddler and hubby keeps busy.. How do you manage house work? I am thinking of hiring a cleaner or something to help with cleaning at least..
Boysway: YOu are going good with everything arriving finally..good luck for this month..n no stress that worked with me in getting pregnant..its easier said than done but for me stress and for hubby was lack of sleep was main reasons..

Thnks expnx1. Yes I think life will get busy especially as DD1 will still be 3.5yrs old when the new one arrives! It's been tough as I have been so sick. I'm not having any cravings (I didn't with the girls either) but I can eat meat this time, which I cldnt before. I am spewing more this time too and my legs are super hairy hahaha - I have never had very hairy legs! Apart from that it's very similar. Since we had our 12wk scan we have told all family and friends as it comes up. I think once u get to 3 kids the novelty wears off people hahah.
Housework is very difficult, DH is so helpful even after long days of work he comes home, cooks dinner if I haven't yet, baths the kids, puts them to bed and then tidies up. I feel bad for him so hopefully it goes away in a few weeks. I just want some normality back.
Hope everyone is feeling well xox

I work for my brother, so yes, I already told my boss :-) In fact, the majority of people in our company are family, so the secret is out there, lol. The only hard part of that has been my sister-in-law, who works directly for me. She and I have sort of been TTC buddies since late last year, both originally swaying for blue. They ended up getting pregnant pretty early on, but then had a MC. They've now been trying again for about 4 or 5 months with it not taking, so she's starting to get pretty depressed about it. I felt bad telling her my news, but thought she might be more hurt if she found out I told everyone but her. At this point, when I ask her about her progress and how their attempts are going she's now saying she appreciates that I asked, but that she'd rather not talk about it anymore :-( I know everyone deals with things differently, and if that's what works best for her, I'll of course support it, but I feel bad. It was their first pregnancy so she doesn't even have a little one to help distract her. I'm really hoping they get a sticky bean soon!!
As far as differences for me, yes, this one seems pretty different so far. I'm still getting similar symptoms, but they are milder. I'm not 100% sure if this is because they truly are milder or if I'm just managing them better, but who knows. I also want to puke at the thought of sweets, which is exactly the opposite of my last, so I'm hoping that's a good sign for a boy :-) I've been loving milk and fruits this time around as well. In my gut I feel like it our little boy, but I know that doesn't always work out, and my gut could just be reacting to my wishful thinking, lol. I was sure our daughter was a girl, but we also swayed for a girl, so again, wishful thinking. Who knows!
Since I'm fairly certain they won't do an ultrasound at our 8 week appt, I'm debating pushing the normal 12 week one to 13 weeks so that I can try and get a more accurate nub shot :-) It would be pretty cool to have a good idea of gender by then! But if not, I suppose we'll just have to be patient. When the time comes to schedule it, I'm not sure the idea of a good nub shot will outweigh my eagerness to simply see the baby, so I may still do it at 12 week so I don't have to wait another week!
As far as cleaning, I am quite lucky, as my hubby is the neat freak in the family and therefore the cleaner :-) He has been really good about making me snacks and such and generally helping out more with our daughter. It makes me want to be pregnant more often since he's so stinking sweet to me when I am, lol. But he keeps commenting how "Isn't it nice knowing that you'll never have to go through this again though?" Since he's 100% positive we'll stop at 2. I'm still not sold on that, but don't think it's worth fighting over right now. I would like to be done at 2, but if this one ends up pink, I'm just not sure I'll be okay with that. We shall see. It's a discussion to be had much further down the road!
Oncue, I hope your symptoms get better soon! My DH told me the other day that I was halfway there since we're 7 weeks and the symptoms last time stopped about week 14. I said, yeah right... the symptoms didn't start until 6 weeks, so it's only been 1 week out of 7!! Definitely not even close to halfway there, lol.

Must be nice for family at work to know - at least with feeling sick they understand and don't think ur just slacking off and taking naps at ur desk haha!
That's so interesting about the food, as I also have been loving milk, dairy and fresh fruit. I wouldn't say I crave it but if it's in the house I will choose it first over anything else.
I think it's really hard when others are trying and you get pregnant. My sister has a 6yr old, and ever since he was born she has been trying, so she has been unsuccessful for about 5.5yrs. I Skyped my family to tell them our news as we live in different cities, and even though she was happy, I could see she was also heart broken as she wants to be pg so bad. I felt really bad actually.
My symptoms usually stop at 14 weeks too, so I'm praying it's the case this time. I can feel it easing, I just hate the vomiting. I'm trying to remain optimistic that this is our boy, but I'm ok as well if it's a girl. All I know is this is definitely the last one! Xo

wow everyone seems to be having fun times with thinking of what its gong to be.. i have booked my appt with OB at 8 weeks and also i get a first US. I dont think i can find the gender untill 20 weeks. I think i wouldnt ask at 12 week as it would be very clear so its better at 20 weeks at least its definite then about the gender. I dint sway last time with DD or even with this one. So if I am lucky it can be a boy but if its a girl i would be happy as well as same gender siblings have more fun i guess than different gender. I am one of the 3 sisters and we have amazing bond. we don't have a brother and we never thought about it. The only difference this time around conception is I am 6 kgs heavier than i used to be with my DD. As initially i was trying to sway and ate alot but dint conceive. But i was eating normally after that. I think not thinking about swaying helped me to conceive thats y i told my DH when TTC with this one that i just want a baby healthy and super cute like DD and not worried about gender.

I'm pretty excited for all of us to find out what we are having. I think the nub shot at 13 weeks wld prob give a good indication of gender, and the potty shot around 20 weeks wld confirm it. I got a scan at 12 weeks, but it doesn't show too much. I didn't ask my obstetrician either to get a nub shot as I forgot. As soon as he showed me heartbeat and measured length I just didn't remember to ask hahah.
I am starting to get a bit of pregnancy baby brain though! DH always laughs at some of the dumb things I have been saying or forgetting. I don't ever remember it being this bad with my last 2 pregnancies! Hahaha

Oh wow, Oncue, that must be hard for your sister! Poor thing. I'll send some baby dust her way!!
Yes, it is nice working with family for that reason. They are pretty understanding about things. My office at home is also the guest room, meaning we have a pullout sofa, so needless to say, I do take quite a few cat naps on that couch :-) I started working for my brother almost 4 years ago, right when we got pregnant with my daughter, which I am so thankful for. I don't know how I would have survived at my previous job with how sick I was last time. I would have for sure been fired. It was an awful work environment and not family friendly at all. Plus it was an hour commute and long hours. Corporate America is something I hope I never have to go back to!!
I'm also not really having cravings per say, but dairy and fruit seem to be my saving grace. Along with white toast with peanut butter and honey. I think the protein may be what's helping keep the MS at bay a bit more than last time. Plus since we were all eating a bit more protein to begin with, I think our bodies may be used to it, Of course I'm also hoping it means we got our boys...we shall see! Oncue, you find out soon, right? I am so excited for you!
Ewpnx1, I am right there with you on the gender stuff. If I could choose, I would choose to have a son, simply because I'd love to experience raising both genders, and I know my DH would love to have a son for the more manly type of activities. However, I also see the benefit to giving my daughter a sister. I never had one - only brothers, and although I never missed having one growing up, I could see how it might be nice to have a sister as an adult. I am lucky that my brothers married fairly awesome women, so I at l;east have some by marriage :-) My mom is one of five daughters and they are all still so close. Although I consider myself extremely close with my brothers, it's still not quite the same. I don't call them up and chit chat with them the way I do my mom and girlfriends. Either way, we will be happy! My DH is one of those guys that I think would handle being a father of only daughters really well. Even though I know he would love to have a son, I also know he'd really embrace another daughter.
Boysway, any updates for you?

Yep crazycat I find out in about 10days I think. Makes me nervous actually thinking about it!
How awesome to work from home (I checked out ur links too! Very cool!) with both DDs I worked part time and I called in sick sooooo many times! I probably wld have been sacked but as I ran a teaching program i basically Cld get ppl to fill in for me. I confided in a colleague that I was pregnant and she basically helped run things for 6 weeks both times. I was very lucky. After DD2 was born I resigned and am a SAHM.
I definitely think if u guys end up with DD2, u will be ecstatic! My DDs are opposite personalities in every way, but they have the most amazing bond and gentle kindness towards eachother. I also have 3 sisters who are my best friends, and when we were pg with DD2, I didn't mind either way the outcome. If she ended up a DS it wld be awesome esp for DH, and I knew a girl wld be fab for DD1, either way you can't lose. X

It sounds like everyone's pregnancies are progressing beautifully :)
Oncue, fingers crossed for extra special news when you have your scan :)
I am on CD 1 as of today (early hours of the morning in Australia). I'm hoping my cycle might settle. Two cycles in a row of 33 days. LP of 14 days with ovulation being CD 19. I hope if I remember to take my vitamins all the time, especially the brewers yeast my cycle will remain the same. AF seems to come with little warning besides really sores bb's. *TMI* but thankful I was already wearing a pad as AF has gone straight into medium to possibly heavy first day and I'm in the last 30 mins of nightshift.
I'm hoping this is the cycle for us. If not, there is always next month :) In saying that, I may not be in this mindset if we don't get an attempt this cycle but trying to remain positive for now.
When I eventually get a bfp I don't know how much I will look into symptoms during my 2 ww beforehand. Bb's were so sore for a week and felt full. I also had cramping through a good part of my last cycle. I think acupuncture might have something to do with that.
It will also be interesting to see how I go when I get my bfp. With each pregnancy the morning sickness has lessened. I mainly had dry retching with my last pregnancy. Strangely, also with my last pregnancy I knew very, very early on I was going to get a bfp. From 6 dpo I had sore bb's and fatigue. I still remember the sore bb's very clearly. They felt like they were on fire. My sil even picked up on my pregnancy before I told her because of my bb's, lol. I'm kind of hoping to get strong symptoms like that again.

Go boysway! I'm so excited for u this month! Positivity and being relaxed will definitely help. We will remind u to take ur vitamins and brewers yeast if u need! I wld love for u to get ur BFP this month! It's good u have had two cycles that have been similar, hopefully this one is on track to be the same and u will have a good idea of when O is coming. With regards to ur DH, are the supps helping? I was going to suggest maybe trying something different to maybe spice it up more if u haven't tried that already? I know with my DH (prob most guys haha) that when it's spontaneous, random and something a bit kinky haha that he reacts like a wild beast hahahahha. That's prob TMI!! If he isn't expecting it and it's out of the ordinary, he prob won't ever relate it to timing and ovulation etc, so it may make it more successful. Bringing it back to primal urges instead of reproduction! Hahaha.
Like I said, I feel really good for u this month! I can't wait for u to join us. I hope u don't get morning sickness as it's just the pits. I hate it. I am basically rendered useless hahaha.
Yes, I get my blood results next week so will know for sure then about the genetic tests and also we shld know bubs sex too. I'm excited but nervous too as we've never found out, and it seems so early to know! Xx

Thanks oncue :D I won't ovulate till around the 5th or 6th which is a few days after my SIL's birthday party. Hopefully that will help dh relax for a while. We have tried mixing things up a bit and he gets very close (iykwim). The moment he gets near me it's a no go :( Right now, it's been almost a month since we have bd. I hope something changes with dh very soon. I hope your m/s eases soon. It is very exciting finding out the gender. I have found out with all of my kids. I am tempted to not find out when our time comes around but I can't help but think I might need time to adjust should we be told it's another girl. I had GD with #4. I wouldn't change her for the world but, it did take some time while pregnant to get used to another girl coming our way. I think I was really convinced because my pregnancy was so much more different to the others.

My fingers are triple crossed for you Boysway! We too are done with this one, whether it's a boy or girl :-(
Ewpnx1 - you must definitely not be in the states, lol. A month vacation is unheard of over here!! We are lucky to get a week off work at a time for holiday, maybe twice per year. And as far as maternity leave, it's pretty sad around here. We get nothing provided from the government at all, and only companies with over 50 employees are required to keep your job open for you - an only for 12 weeks, tops. It's pathetic really how un-family focused our country is :-( Fortunately, even though I work for a tiny company, it's my family, so they are much better about it. Still, according to our policy, we pay for 2 weeks of leave for the mother and then allow an additional 10 weeks off unpaid and still return to your job. Of course being the sister, I did get better than that last time. I took 6 weeks completely off work and then ended up working part-time (maybe 10-15 hours per week) for the next 6 weeks until coming back full time, and my brother did not end up docking my pay at all. It was sort of unspoken though, so I'm not really sure what to expect this time around. I've signed up for s short term disability insurance policy that will pay 50% of my salary for 4 weeks, so I'll at least get that no matter what, but it still stinks. I would LOVE to be able to stay home with baby for a year, but in our family I am more of the bread-winner, so my salary is definitely needed. I am lucky that I work from home though, and now that we have a larger home I'm going to see about getting a nanny to come to our house to watch the baby so I can still nurse on demand and such.
Oncue - you're getting your results this week, right? Cannot wait to hear!!! :-)

Wow crazycat, those are pretty bad maternity leave conditions. I stopped working after dd2 but I think maternity leave in Australia has improved and it was pretty good when I needed it.
Yes, I shld find out my results by Friday so I will definitely keep u posted! I am going to ring my obstetricians rooms today to try and see if they are there yet. DH is really wanting to know too haha, otherwise I wld have been ok to wait it out. I actually feel nervous in finding out as I don't want to feel disappointed and this is def our last (just like u girls) so it seems so final too. It will be sad not hear boy as that's what we were hoping but it will also be sad not hear girl as we have been blessed with 2 wonderful girls and I feel like I know how to raise girls (so far!!)

Crazycat: i am in Melbourne Australia. Here its pretty good. You cam even extend to 2 years without pay. Govt also pays some 10000$ for working mums..i got that with my DD..plus get 6 weeks paid leave and then unpaid can be up to 2 years..I love Australia as this country is very family friendly..I migrated here 7 years ago..I will see how i go this time as i might take a break altogether for some 2 years to raise two kids..My DH wants that too..I am lucky that we can afford that. However i have always worked and kind of got bored at home after one year with first one but hoping this time around i will be so busy with two that i wont think of work lol..Hubby is really supportive and doesnt mind if i work or not...Oncue: are you talking about that genetic testing results?Good luck my friend had that too and wait is klling..My DH is funny as he wants more kids and would like twins this time and i said to him there is no history ever in family lol..8 weeks USG on Monday and he wants it to be twins lol i said to him cant imagine feeding two as i breastfed my DD till 14 months and it was challenge with one only.

Ewpnx1 - that's awesome that Australia is so family friendly. The US claims to be, but their actions don't back that up. We are the only developed nation without any sort of mandated maternity leave...pretty pathetic. I would think taking 2 years off could get boring at times, but at the same time, with 2 kiddos, it will probably stay pretty interesting. I think the thing is to keep busy and make lots of mommy friends to get out and about with. You could also look into a part time job from home, like blogging if you're into writing, or crafting of some sort to sell on etsy. I know I would probably need something that was just for me if I were to stay at home, just so I still felt like my own person and not just a mommy, ya know?
Where did you move from? I've always wanted to visit Australia - it's on my bucket list for sure! My little brother worked over there for about 6 months with his last job and loved it. There are so many places I want to visit - now I just have to get hubby on board. He's a bit of a homebody and isn't always too fond of travel, but once I get him places, he enjoys it and has a good time, but convincing him to go in the first place is tough, lol. We likely won't be traveling out of the country until after our kiddos get a little older, but once they are, I want them to get to see and experience other cultures as much as possible!

Hey treens, good to see u back! Glad u had a great holiday too.
We DTD every 2-3 days or so and didn't bother anymore with OPKs, we used preseed but no mucinex. And I only did some parts of the HE diet that I could manage. We found out yesterday we are having a boy too! If u chk out the sway section of the forum u'll find our sways in there. I really hope u get ur BFP soon!
Boysway did u get the results from the blood test for ur DH? Hoping that u got some answers xo

Just quickly dropping in. Got dh's bt results. Everything is good except testosterone. Testosterone levels should be between 8.3-29, dh's level is 6.4. He had a second bt today. If the level is still under 8 then dh qualifies for testosterone replacement therapy. Hopefully it's as easy as that.

Boysway that's great news! What does testosterone replacement therapy involve? Just meds? So glad that u have some answers xo
Boysway
July 28th, 2014, 06:49 AM
Welcome back treens :D
oncue, yes it involves meds. However, the more I read into it the worse it looks. The TRT (Testosterone replacement therapy) reduces sperm count. The only TRT that would help (from my research so far) is a Gonadtropin injection although I don't know if this would be suitable for dh. I think we might be better off with my first thought. Have dh take Viagra (or similar) till I get my bfp then he can try the TRT. Other then the obvious issues, dh suffers from a lot o symptoms relating to low T levels. Loss of concentration, memory loss, poor sleeping, weight issues etc, etc. Hopefully we can get back to the Dr soon to discuss options. Thanks for askin.g

July 28th, 2014, 09:02 PM
Dh's issue is even worse then before. Now there is no 'movement in the station'. The wonderful Atomic got back to me. She suggests dh starts the TRT as it takes a while for the TRT to negatively affect the sperm count. She also suggested Dh take the viagra at the same time and try to get pregnant as fast as possible. Now, to get DH and our Dr on board with this.

Hi ladies :-) I've been MIA for a bit just not feeling well enough to do much more than the bare minimum these days. Welcome back Treens! Definitely check out our sways in the forum section for that. I recorded everything in there right after our BFP when it was still fresh in my head. I think I forgot about mucinex and even pre-seed on our last attempt that actually worked, and we basically just DTD 3 days in a row as soon as I got my positive OPK, I think :-) It was at the tale end of our beach vacation, and I think the things that really worked was that we were stress free and not too worried about it actually working. We were trying to just have fun with it more than anything else, so maybe that means this will be your month since you guys just had a vac!
Boysway, definitely take Atomic's advise. Also, I wonder if anything of the things we were doing on blue to up our testosterone would work for him. For instance drinking the gelatin drink 3 times a day? I swear when I was doing that I started growing a mustache! I really felt very masculine when I was drinking those for whatever reason, whether it was just those or not, I don't know, but that was what I really increased at the time. Also, it always helps when my DH is working out a bit more for me to give him compliments and tell him how big he's getting and how manly he is, etc. You know, pump his head full of compliments so maybe he starts believing them too and tries harder in that department? Good luck with it all!!

Dh and I went back to the drs. Testosterone level was 7.0. Although the level is below 8 Dh needs to be 40 in order to qualify for the TRT :( So, Viagra it is. I have just asked atomic for advice on how to alter dh's diet to increase testosterone and lower Estrogen.
Ewpnx1
August 5th, 2014, 03:55 AM
Boysway i think muscle building exercises help with testosterone levels..But not sure how much time you both get. Yes diet should be easier and do the trick.Does Viagra increase testosterone?
Boysway
August 6th, 2014, 10:55 AM
I wish dh would do exercise. He had good intentions but always seems to find something to get distracted. The problem is he likes me to come along. I should be exercising as well but it's near impossible with doing all the nightshifts I do. Viagra only opens the blood vessels to make 'things' work. If only he would apply himself to lose weight. He is just getting heavier and heavier.
oncue
August 7th, 2014, 04:07 AM
I think Viagra is a good start, as long as u guys can DTD it's hopefully going to mean a BFP sooner. I'm not sure, but does protein powder or any 'bulking' products help increase testosterone?
Boysway
August 7th, 2014, 04:17 AM
Protein will help but I think the bulking up products would only put more weight on him because he doesn't exercise. I'm starting him on pomegranate juice to try and reduce his estrogen level. I want to get him on zinc as well, just waiting to hear from atomic as to whether that's a good idea.
Boysway
August 8th, 2014, 02:13 AM
I spoke to atomic regarding the zinc. He can't go on any more as it will sway pink. All good for pomegranate juice though :) Dh started that today.
Probably tmi but, I bought dh's tablets today. Hopefully they work :D fingers crossed this means I'll actually be in with a chance at a bfp next month :) Who knows when I'll ovulate though. It looks like I ovulated on CD 15 this cycle which is not the norm for me. I usually ovulate around CD 18-21.

August 8th, 2014, 05:51 AM

Boysway
August 10th, 2014, 04:47 PM
Thanks Ewpnx, now all I need is for dh to finally take a pill :(
WARNING. VENT COMING UP.
Maybe I'm being selfish. I know dh's confidence is very low and he hasn't been feeling 100% lately. But, we haven't bd in two months! This feels like a one way street. I'm giving him the vitamins to help his body, I'm the one who said he should go to the Dr. All he does is fill his expanding stomach with crap food and beer. I told him he shouldn't drink beer when he needs to take the Viagra (it can make the Viagra ineffective).
When the taking of Viagra was brought up dh reminded me how tired and crappy he felt yet, he felt well enough to have a few beers :(
I honestly felt like the beer took priority over us. I know it will sound terrible but I don't want him near me when he does that. I don't just feel angry, I get angry :( Dh knew there was something wrong last night. He was pestering me to find out the problem last night and this morning.
I want to let it all out and tell him but I know it will hurt his feelings and further shoot down his self confidence. He kept saying to me he felt he did something wrong. I honestly feel like chucking in this whole thing. I don't just mean the swaying either. I mean trying for a baby full stop!
If he can't be motivated enough to help himself or help me around the house. How can he help and support me when I'm pregnant (if it ever happens) and when/if a new baby comes along.

Hey Boysway, this may sound like a stupid idea haha but does ur DH get more aroused when he is a bit tipsy/drunk? Maybe if he does u Cld use it to ur advantage and and get a bit frisky?? I know after a few drinks my DH is annoying and always looking for action hahaha so Cld that work? I guess if it doesn't work with the Viagra that Cld be a drawback? Sounds like he is aware that something is bothering u, so maybe chatting to him about it in a nice way Cld help too. Fingers crossed there's a solution xo
Mamato3?
August 11th, 2014, 08:26 AM
I think that the best way to go now (eventhough I know how frustrating it can be) is you sending positive vibes towards him.
I mean that I strongly feel that men always look to us like we are their mothers, besides all the other roles we have to play, and rightnow he is in a tough spot with the issues he is having. He feels not man enough for you and his family cause that's the way men interpret these problems....
I think that a) you must try to be as positive and supportive and joyfull as possible, at least when around him and b) I think that if you finally succeed with a pregnancy his ego will rise and he will start feeling confident again and his whole attitude during family life will improve..
I wish you all the best and keep the faith !!!
Boysway
August 11th, 2014, 08:45 AM
Oncue, unfortunately it's more difficult for dh to perform when he has been drinking. It's always been the case :( If only.
Mamato3, I try the upbeat, positive vibes, I try complementing him. He just has such a negative personality. I am positive most of the time (it's taken a lot to get me to this point) every few months I get to the point when I'm over everything negative and I just hold it all in till I either verbally or mentally blow up or dh coaxes it out of me. He does feel he has failed me. I reminded him he isn't a failure. But he needs to take the steps to look after himself.
We had a long chat this afternoon. The main thing seems to be getting to the gym. It's hard with me working nightshift all the time. I've suggested we try out going to the gym from 6:30-7:20am on the mornings I'm not coming off nightshift and from around 7-7:40 am on the days I have work. I am hoping that will help.
Thank you for your advice ladies :D Whether you think it's silly (it wasn't) or not, I am happy for hints and advice :)

Boysway I dont have much to say but it took me a month to convince my hubby to go for a sperm test he felt awkward about it..but once issue was found he was active to work on it..in terms of taking supplements etc..i agree that you are doing everything to sway for blue but he hasnt been interested..y dont u ask him if he really wants another child? He probably doesnt..tell him if he wants then he needs to cooperate n look after his health so that baby is healthy too..
Boysway
August 11th, 2014, 10:11 AM
Ewpnx, as far as I know his sperm isn't too bad. The problem is his equipment not working. I think his weight has a lot to do with his low testosterone and his equipment has never performed well under pressure. Our very first time together didn't work out because he was nervous. I won't even tell him when ovulation is anymore for fear of too much pressure on him. I think it's psychological as well as physical. Dh definitely wants another baby, it was me he had to convince. And, yes I have also told he needs to look after himself. I've also reminded him I can't make a baby myself. I tell you what, if HT could guarantee us a baby boy I really think that would be the best way to go. Save us all this stress, save money as well. The supps, coconut water and juice really add up. Not to mention the bottles of Robitussin, the pressed and OPK'S. This has all been rather expensive :(

Hey ladies just letting you know I will likely back off from this forum for a while. I may stalk a little bit but, who knows *shrugs*. I am having a very hard time with all things ttc and life in general and my depression is back. I will be seeing a psychologist as of this Wednesday. I won't be telling dh as he doesn't need to know. That will only make things worse for him as my moods and his problem are causing his depression to resurface and he gets it worse then I do. Thank you for all your support, I really value it xx :bighugs:

Aww boysway, it will be sad to not have u around. Please always come back if u need anything even just to vent. We are here for u, just to listen and send virtual hugs! I know it must be so difficult for u. Uve been such a trooper with ur diet and all things TTC, I'm praying that it happens for u soon. I think it's important to make sure you get yourself feeling good, even if it means having to let DH know ur feelings. Depression can be an awful cycle, and if talking about how u feel improves things for u, it will also improve things for ur DH too. You can't help him til u help urself is what I'm trying to say.

Boysway
November 9th, 2014, 04:30 PM
I would love to find out via blood test. But, since there is no medical need for the test I won't be able to have it without paying a small fortune. We're likely to find out at the 12/13 week ultrasound. I would like to be team green but I like to be too organised.

Well, from what I've heard, 12/13 weeks is still about as early as you can find out even with the blood test because they don't always do it right away and it takes a couple weeks to get the results. Hopefully the little bean will cooperate with you in that scan!! Good luck - I am so excited you finally got your BFP :-)
And I totally get not being able to stay team green. I couldn't do it either!

I went to the drs yesterday. I have a pathology request form for a whole heap of blood tests. I'll get those done in a couple of days because I need to fast and I'm on nightshift. I can't fast while on nightshift. Yes, I hope little beans gender is unmistakable. Dh is already asking me if it's a boy or girl, lol.

Thanks Ewpnx :) I got the bloods back. I need to see a dietician. Looks like I have gestational diabetes for the first time. No nausea as yet (touch wood). Only symptom so far is sore bbs and they aren't as sore as last time. A little bit of heartburn. Cramping is gone for now.

Ok yes making diet changes would help in that case. I had GD with DD at 32 weeks. I had to do diet changes but as it was too late had to take insulin in last 4 weeks but still she was 3.2 kg at 37 weeks and i had Emergency CS. Dont worry it goes away after baby. I had trsts at 17 weeks it was good. Will have GTT again at 27-28 weeks. so basically in couple of weeks.. i think i will have it as i eat lot of high GI stuff which i shouldnt ideally :(

It's great they can detect the Gest Diabetes early, at least it means it won't get out of control. Glad ur not feeling nauseous either!

I had my first u/s today. Just one little blip in there measuring 7 weeks and 1 day. So, due date remains the same, 22nd July. Heart rate of 125 :)
I get slight nausea now. Only if it's too long between eating. Only have sore boobs, as I mentioned slight nausea. Not a fan of sweet stuff either which works out well with the GDM.

Thank you :) I am going to try and book the NT scan in for 13 weeks to hopefully get a better chance at a good nub shot. Other then that, I guess I will need to wait till 18-20 weeks. Nausea has been a little worse every now and then but (touch wood) nothing like previous pregnancies. I found the silver lining for the GDM. I have lost 2.1 kgs (4.6 pounds) since the 23rd of November :) It's a good thing I have weight to lose.
Hmm, I might book in for that NT scan now. NT scan will be due mid January. I am sure the time will fly by.

Wow ladies! How fast has the time flown by. How exciting :D Ewpnx, I know we won't know for sure at the NT scan. Most u/s places don't like to say, even at 13 weeks. I think I might do as others have when it comes to knowing bubs gender. I may just get it written down to view at home. Wishing you the best for a safe arrival of your bub oncue :D

Yeah it's getting close! I'm ok. This time around my placenta is posterior so I've been feeling a lot more movement and he sure likes stretching into my rib area which is sooo painful. With both DDs they had anterior placentas so I guess I didn't notice as much. My mind is busy with lots of other things so it's helping time to go faster. But I'm honestly enjoying these last couple weeks with the girls before a bub changes the dynamic around here!
Excellent decision with the NT scan at 13 weeks! Please let us know when u post ur pics, wld love to try and guess even tho I'm no expert. I'm really hoping this is ur little DS too xo

I think my energy level is a little better. I think the nausea is a little less. I'm very lucky this pregnancy actually. I have only been sick about 3 times. I'll be 12 weeks tomorrow :D
Blessing in disguise having GDM I've lost 4.9 kg (10.8 lb) since November 23rd. My belly us still growing though. I know bub is getting enough nutrients.

Boysway, I'm sure the idea of waiting 4 weeks is excruciating! It will be here before you know it though - just try and stay busy!
Ewpnx1, I will be 37 weeks on Wed. At my apt last Wed I was already almost 3cm dilated and 70% effaced, so he could be making his appearance any day now! Of course, it could also be another 3 weeks, lol, as you never really know. My doctor seemed to think it will be sooner than later though. We just had our maternity pics yesterday, so I'm really glad to have at least gotten through those. Now, I'm pretty much ready when he is!
