I have been thinking about this and just wandered how important you think it is to avoid having an orgasm when ttc a girl. If you do all other sway factors could this really change the outcome just by having an orgasm?
Any help really appreciated

I'd say it's quite important to avoid it
a big O sucks the swimmers up from near the cervix and into the uterus and can even give them a nudge towards the fallopian tubes, as well as changing pH and stuff in there
if you want to sway girl, the advice is always to DTD shallow so the big O would completely go against this

As I recall, I deliberately had a big O with my first, used robitussin and everything, and she was a girl, and with my second I believe I also had big O, a boy, and not with my 3rd, (a girl) or 4th (a boy). SO I too am left wondering if it makes any difference!

I didnt have a big O with my first 2 and they were both boys but for some reason this time round i couldnt help myself and accidentley did TMI SORRY!! Im really worried now that because of this it will result in a boy even though it was 2 days before ovulation and i did all other sway factors to the MAX!! Ive got to stop analysising my sway and just wait for the outcome, glad to see that there have been little girls born after having big O lol. Anyone else have big O and ended up with a girl?

I had big O with all 3 boys. Also lots of EWCM. This time no big O for me, although that was sooooo hard to do!!! I'm not sure if it makes loads of difference. I was just trying to do whatever I could to help my chances!! Hope you get the girl you want.

We did sway. Initially I was quite strict with the diet, but since it took a while to conceive I made some changes. I am naturally thin and the diet made me quite underweight and unwell. So I adapted it a bit, allowing myself a few more calories, but ensured I had low salt and potassium and calcium rich. No caffiene.
I took calcium, magnesium, folate, cranberry and vit B6 supplements and the month we conceived I had tried to eat a lot of acidifying foods too as my pH was persistently around 6. I got it down to 5.
We BD frequently from about CD10 to 2-3 days before O. No big O, missionary position, sylk as lube. I was hoping to use replens, but messed up my online order and it never came in time. No jump and dump either as we seemed to be having trouble conceiving.
Didn't do a great deal for ions, except lots of walking in fresh air, was in new moon phase (just) and fan on laptop.
I think that is all. I used to get tons of EWCM, but got it down to next to nothing, just a bit as I ovulated. Our cut off was 2 and a half days on that cycle.

Nicnee, if you have time, I'd love to know what changes you made, as sI ma experiencing a similar problem. I am thinking of adding unsalted almonds and the occasionaly ensure-am already eating a lot of tahini-but other than that am trying to stick to the diet, and still losing wt. Like you I am getting way too thin.
Feel free to PM me if it is too Off topic-and GL!

Well, I don't think having an orgasm just when you conceive is any kind of guarantee of gender, but I do think it's best to avoid female O for as long as possible when TTC pink.
Firstly because it raises testosterone to have orgasms so the more orgasms you have, the higher your T will be. Secondly, when you have an orgasm or even just when you get aroused, you release a special kind of fluid that is alkaline and helps maximize sperm survival and that sways blue. Thirdly, the spasms may assist the cervix in sucking up the maximum amount of sperm and also helps circulate the EWCM and propel sperm towards the Fallopian tubes.

Something can sway and yet not be 100%. After all, many people smoke and not everyone gets lung cancer. But we would never say smoking doesn't cause lung cancer.

In a scenario where you're already doing a lot to sway, you DEF. can still conceive a baby girl having the big O.
Swaying isn't about doing this or doing that, it's what is going on inside your body. So if you did a lot to make your body girl-friendly, a big O isn't going to erase all that! And who knows, maybe if not for that big O, you may not even have gotten pg to begin with. No worries!!

Thank you so much atomic for responding ive got to stop being so neurotic lol, im just angry at myself that i let it happen as i hardly ever have a big O and it was the one crucial time. I didnt when we dtd leading up to the cut off just our last attempt. I know that just by doing that it isnt likley to sway my odds that much and i had tried a cut off on previous attempts and my previous pregnancy without having an O and didnt fall pregnant so maybe it did help me concieve!!

So Atomic should we be avoiding the big O leading up to the 6 weeks of conception? Should we even be having sex, if it is pretty arousing to us? Gosh first it is meat, salt, then chocolate and now the big O. The only comfort I have now is taking a hot shower twice a day. :hair:
Oh no, you're taking a hot shower??? (KIDDING) ;)
Hey, do what you can do WITHIN REASON and let go of the rest! I am quite certain that of the 3 billion ladies on the planet, some of them were conceived with their mothers having the occasional orgasm sometime within the 6 weeks before their conception!!
