Right, was doing great. Always been a bit LE loosely but really went for it during Sept.
I moved on the 5th of this month and its just gone downhill since. Living out of boxes and unpacking has meant no time for cooking and lots of takeaways :( I have been eating badly (in LE terms) for 2 weeks now.
How much have a blown my girl diet?
I am not even convinced id conceive now anyway as my cycels are all over, period every 3 weeks with a 7 day LP and this month a very random long wait for ov...still waiting!
So I feel xmas is creeping up on me and I am seeing all the food/drinks already and wondering if I should wait until after xmas now to ttc again (End of Jan) I can't bare the thought of waiting 6 weeks from Jan though to be on the diet for this time again. Really not sure what to do.
Get back on the LE diet wagon and have a final attempt this year mid nov. Not try xmas as I KNOW ill be eating badly etc.. or try end of jan????? x

IMO I think as long as your staying on LE diet terms you should be ok. I've been falling off the wagon lately, just because I'm depressed about O not coming and desperate to enjoy some of my favorite food. So yeah, I have been doing pretty bad lately...but I feel that it's ok because it's only 1-2 a week (usually weekends). I would say keep doing LE because the holidays are harder to keep up with. I'm most likely going to see my ob-gyn and beg for Clomid because I can't continue like this :(...Good luck & keep the LE & attempts before the big holidays!

Are you still losing weight? How old are you?
If you are youngish and have not been losing weight i would be tempted to wait at least a month before trying. During christmas if you just have a few pig out meals you shouldn't have to wait a full 6 weeks. If you totals overall are within limits you should be fine - not a lot of nutrition in chocolate;)
I guess it depends how desperate you are to get pg. would you prefer to get pg with either a boy or a girl earlier than wait for a stronger shot at pink?
Good luck

Period every 3 weeks with 7 day LP needs to be seen by a doctor, something is awry.
I can't tell you what to do here - my thinking is, if you have a little time on your side, if you'll have regrets if you TTC and get an opposite, wait. If you don't ahve time on your side (you are over 38 or so) then TTC because you never know, it may have been the universe conspiring to get you a little girl!

1-2 cheats per week is not only allowed on LE Diet, it's encouraged. makes it easier to stick to diet the rest of the time, and it's overall diet that counts, not any one day. Now if those cheats become 1-2 times a DAY, then that's not so good LOL

What would be construed as a major cheat? My current crazy swaying mentality is that most things are a cheat lol! if I have a bag of caramel snack a jacks with my muller rice every day is that a cheat? Or some yoo moo frozen yoghurt after my rice dinner, but have one quite frequently but within limits? I have a tendency to lose all perspective. As long as I am within limits for fat, protein and cals (which I always am) the beforementioned cant be a cheat? Is a cheat something like chocolate (which I also have been having somedays) or is a cheat a chicken breast (dont have). Or just generally going over on cals, protein and/or fat? Sorry, just clarifying.
To the OP - I think go for attempt only if you wouldnt regret it if it was an opposite and think I wish I had waited longer, or tried harder on diet. I guess if you have a bit of time on your side then it may be best to have no regrets? However I for one know how hard it can be to postpone and postpone, then feel like you may have missed your best chance? When I moved house in June I was also eating take outs etc although stayed veggie with choices, but I did decide to postpone as I stopped losing the weight and the house move was stressful enough in itself.

Thanks ladies
Spoke to hubby last night and we are going to wait. I would regret not giving it a proper go. Its 2 children for us. Period.
I have made an oppointment with my female doctor for next week to discuss my cycles as hopefully I can get answers to that before Jan/feb time to ttc again.
I will back onto LE properly after new yr and then ttc again next yr. Its really not that long of a wait anyway. This means I can have a huge blow out at xmas and not feel guilty!! Its the law to eate pate, chocolate and drink mulled wine!! x

I know Jennibel and it's worrying me.
The term "cheat" needs to remain flexible because different people have different dietary needs, but as a (VERY) general rule, if you're within diet limits -- and I mean MAXIMUM limits, so up to 1800-2000 cals, 50-60 g protein, 60 g fat -- then NOTHING is a cheat. There are no cheats within diet limits, even red meat is not truly a cheat.
Now, there are some better choices to make and so it's best MOST of the time to pick lower nutrient foods, but it doesn't mean it's cheating when you have something with more nutrition in it. You still need a wide array of nutrients for overall health and so it's good to include some spinach or peanut butter or whatnot regularly (daily in the case of spinach!!! remember, low carb veg are unlimited, you can have as much as you want and they are NEVER truly a cheat.)
What a real cheat entails is those days where you're in a situation where you just gotta eat a normal meal, social occasions, when you're on the go, holidays, you're feeling a little bit down and need a pick-me-up, AF is here, whatevs. I don't really want anyone feeling like they need to like STARVE all day to try and keep a cheat meal in the limits. I want those cheat meals, most of the time, to be God's Honest Cheats meaning you eat your normal LE Diet and then cheat in addition to that.
Sometimes, people will have to have a lot of cheat meals all in a row for some reason and then in that case, yes, it can be a good thing to maybe keep an eye on the limits more often. And if you are a person who plays it a little fast-n-loose with the diet anyway, then you have to be more cautious with cheating.
But if it's somebody who most of the time, tends to err on the side of being TOO strict with themselves (not mentioning any names here LOL) then a cheat needs to be just that, a cheat. in addition to, not instead of. HTH
