View Full Version : FertileCM causing late period???? anyone

I decided to try Fertile CM (before I purchase the swaying plan, otherwise I would have seen she doesn't suggest it...ugh). Anyway, I decided to try it last month (not TTC until next month). I noticed an increase in CM, however, I am 3 days late on my period and I am NEVER late. I am not pregnant (very very careful plus took test). Has anyone else had this sort of side effect??? Please let me know. I':rolleyes::rolleyes:m afraid I messed up my whole cycle and will loose a month now :_(

Yes that's what we've seen happening - the Fertile CM can mess up your cycle and delay ovulation, and when you ovulate late, your AF comes late. Late ovulation can wreak havoc with your attempt because you end up DTD at the wrong time and makes it much harder to conceive.

Fertile CM didn't work for me because it has L-arginine which agrivates the herpes virus which is in shingles...I have shingles. It made me miserable and I fear it caused some damage and has made it difficult for me to get pregnant.

But some people swear by it. I think the tough thing is its very individual and you can only figure it out by trial and error.

Hope things go back to normal for you.

Yes thanks for that reminder Adia - if you have ANY form of herpes virus (fever blisters/cold sores, genital herpes, or have ever had the chicken pox which is the same form of the virus that causes shingles) then proceed with EXTREME caution with Fertile CM or L-arginine because it can cause them all to flare up. Shingles can actually be life threatening if you get it badly enough!!!
