Finding out the gender at 12 week scan??

Hi Ladies,

I just wanted to ask if anyone found out the gender of their baby at the 12 week scan and was it correct?. I know in the UK they don't tend to tell you that early, only at the 20 week one. Have any of you UK ladies found out at your NHS 12 week scan?.

Only once and it was a foreign doctor! Otherwise generally, I have had 5 kids and no one has ever encouraged that not even at an nt scan so asking would have been pointless as they just brush you off by saying way too early! With my DS 2 it was a foreign doctor and it was only cause specifically mentioned it but made it out just to humour myself would he be able to tell? That is why he made an effort to kind if look and my son was ever so willing to show his goods!!!:)
