Hi, I'm back!
I'm planning to start TTC from February 2014, so enough time to refresh my memory, esp. to look good at my attempt in order not to repeat it, ha, ha!
I'm going to take vitamin D3 this time, I was thinking 2000IU (+ 400IU in Prenatals), both for me and DH. Is that OK? I know it's hard to OD on vit D3, but it still looks a lot :worry:
Another q: magnesium. For my 41. b-day, I've got one of those water filtering systems, and this one enriches filtered water with Mg ++ ions. 2 liters of filtered water provide 20% RDA Mg.
Just to make sure: this cannot sway pink?

Zivic your back!!!! :)
I took 4000 iu of D3 since I was trying to conceive in the winter months where I live we don't get outside that much to get any vitamin D from the sun, my Dr recommended 4000 iu

Hi Zivic . Great to see you again!
I don't think 2000IU is too much at all. And if I recall, where you live, you will need at least that amount through the winter months. I have been taking 5000IU a day for the last 5 years (on doctors orders though, I was tested and my levels were low).
Magnesium is fine for a boy sway, IMO, adding nutrients, any nutrients, aids in fertility. GL girlfriend :)

Thank you guys!!!! So nice to see you both again!
Anchor, I've been thinking about you lately, Idk if you're still trying?
Here's the thing: my very good friend who is 39 and has diabetes got pg with a boy in something like 3 months trying, and she says it's because of Maca root, both for her and her partner.
It's in capsules, combined with polen and l-arginin. Before Maca, they were trying for 2 years and had one m/c.
I've already ordered 2 boxes
Now only one magic ingredient is missing and that's Pre-Seed.

Hi Z!!!
My guideline is 1000, just because I like to be perfectly safe. 2000 is probably just fine, it's just that I like to err on the side of caution and 1000 I know to be safe, so that's what I stick with. But more and more doctors are advising much more than that so it is very probably just fine.
Re the magnesium, keeping in mind that I don't have as much data as I would like, but I believe that to be perfectly fine when TTC a boy, I always had tons of magnesium foods when I got my boys.
