Hi Girls,

I was just wondering if any of you have recently started the LE diet or have had a successful Pink sway on the LE diet?.
Could you give me some tips on what you are eating /eat on a typical day starting with your first meal of the day and any products that you are buying.
I've purchased a personalized plan off Atomic which I am really pleased with and ready to start going, but I'm still a bit confused which foods to buy.
Thanks so much in advance xx

My go to food was boiled white rice with a sauce, and rice cakes to snack on if i really couldn't stay away from the cupboard! Drank lots instead if snacking, decaf coffee, pop etc. The only bit I found didn't take too much effort was sticking o being veggie, and skipping breakfast. It became a challenge to last til lunch :/ Not the advice I'd give as I lost too much weight too quick! Good luck x

Did you see the sample 5-day diet and pink shopping list? There is a link to it where your plan is posted.

I tend to stick to the same things,

Coffee in the morning with skimmed milk and sweetner
I have bought low fat cup o soups well asda cheapie versions and if I am struggling to wait until lunch ill have one of these and it helps.

Lunch varies, sandwich with low fat soft cheese, salad. left over teas from the night before. Bagel with flora light etc... I also have pots of hartleys jelly and a weight watchers yogurt sometimes.

I buy ww snacks of muffins too.

Tea varies, I am still eating chicken at the moment but within the protien limits, I am going full veggie from Jan though.
I have pittas with cheese spread, salad, fresh veggies stir fry with a microwave rice and low salt soy sauce, If ive not had much protien ill have any normal food with quorn things. WW soups and bread. I nearly always have some sunbite crisps or a ww muffin after my tea and am always under my calories for the day, usual have about 1200.

When do you start ttc?

I was v strict on the diet during sept and lost weight but we decided to hold ttc and ive been pigging out through Oct.

Back on it now from today but know ill cheat over xmas week and new yr. We start ttc again in Jan.

I also have 1 cheat day a week where I will either have pizza or some pasta. I also drink red wine xx

Hi ladies,
I'm glad to see this post for UK ladies, I am struggling to know what to buy for the diet, and struggling to diet tbh.
I am skipping breakfast, not eating until at least 11:30 for my lunch i've been having full fat veggie soups with a wholemeal pitta and some low salt butter (wholemeal as a slight tendancy to pcos)
Dinner is either a small portion of pasta with a dairy/cheese or mushroom based sauce, with one or two portions of veggies. (i've been using those fresh filled pastas filled with either mushrooms or cheese & tomato) they are more filling and a little more interesting. plus the asda brand do two packs for £2.50 and on the LE diet they last ages!

my dessert is shape yoghurts in a toffee or chocolate flavour for something sweet or weight watchers greek yoghurts

i dont know if this is being strict enough, given that i'm having full fat or normal soups and filled pasta etc, but i believe i am staying within the limits?

i'm drinking lots of diet pepsi to keep me filled up, and tea/decaf coffee with aspartame.

opinions on my version of the diet would be appreciated, also does anyone know if there is a list of free veggies, as in veggies we can pile as much as we like of on our plate! or is that not really the way the diet works!

Thanks ladies, they are great tips... especially the tips for eating soups!!.
I've got my meals planned, but they just seem a bit boring and I'm worried I won't be able to stick to it!!.
Yes NUTHINBUTPINK, I've got the 5 day meal plan thanks, but was just wanting some tips from the uk ladies as to what products they are buying :)
MRSM17 - We are starting TTC in Dec, so I haven't got long, so I need to be strict!!. Your diet sounds good :)
PINKPLSPLS - I think everything is in moderation!!! :) I'm new to this LE diet thing, so I can't give any good tips yet!!. Are you a dream member?. They give loads of tips on there on what to eat and free foods and it works out at about £8 so it's worth joining. I joined last night, but not had time to read through it yet.
Good luck xx
Good luck xxx

Thanks Dolly!!!
I am hopefully starting ttc in Dec too!! Xmas will be a struggle! I have just gotten over a loss so I am hoping my cycles recover.
Asda sell quark cheese which is virtually fat free and for a sweet addition to pitta bread or weight watchers bagels you can have the chocolate flavour philipelphia, i believe loads of women use this one as its high in dairy low in fat!
I am a dream member, i bought the fabulous personalised swaying plan & the 21 day, i just know for myself i have truoble sticking to planned diets so i am trying to modify mine to suit me. Plus i love soup in the cold weather! I am watching the contents and choosing veggie / mushroom or meat free broths with a pitta so as a whole lunch meal they are fairly low in calories.
I'm not being as restrictive with sodium, just cutting out of using it for any cooking & never adding it to food. I have started buying salt free butter though.

Maybe we xan be pink ttc cycle buddies!!!

Aww I'm so sorry for your loss Pinkplspls, it's so hard isn't it. Hopefully everything will be ok for you this time xx Yes I would love to be ttc cycle buddies :)
I'm starting the diet this weekend. I've got 6 weeks until my first attempt.......so excited, but dreading it as well because it will just be near Christmas and I'm usually a little piggy over Christmas. I'm determined though to do everything I can as we want a little princess so much. We've got 2 boys who we love to bits, but want a girl so much to complete our family and this is our last child.
How long have you been on the diet?. I keep thinking 6 weeks isn't enough time for me, but I don't think I could do it for longer than 3 months!!!. I conceived my boys in less than 3 months so we will see what happens!!.

Mrsm17, yes give it a go in December too, we can all be ttc buddies :) and be gutted together that we can't pig out!!!! :)

I started about 3 weeks ago when I got my swaying plan from Automic, the first week i was really good, then last week/weekend i was really awful. i've been up & down emotionally over my loss. it was a little boy so at first i thought maybe it was meant to be, as i so long for a daughter (i have three boys, the youngest are twins) but it really hit me hard last week & i've been eating way to much for comfort.
i'm trying to get back on it this week. i've been good with the skipping breakfast part, drinking lots of diet coke instead, but my family have been taking me out for meals to try to cheer me up, so thats got to stop! its the twins second birthday on friday then my little boys fourth so i need to try to resit their cakes!!

i find dieting really really hard anyway, i've always eaten so much! so its going to be a real challenge!

lets hope i can stick to it!

do you monitor your cycles? i am gonna start using the persona ovulation monitor so i cah hopefully pinpoint my exact ovulation and i reckon my first attempt will be in jan now, i concieved both my oldest DS and my twins in march so i'm scared of trying then! xxx

fingers crossed for all of us, maybe being diet buddies will help us out more!

is anyone using my fitness pal to help keep up with the diet totals

dollych
November 5th, 2013, 05:22 PM
I know what you mean, I always eat when I feel down. Big hugs to you, I bet It's been a really emotional time for you xx

I used the Clearblue fertility monitor with both my boys and it seemed to be really accurate, so I will prob use that again. My cycles are usually really regular, so hopefully they will stay that way on this diet!!.

I was thinking of using my fitness pal as some of my friends used it just doing a normal diet and they loved it. Think I will have a look tomorrow.... thanks for reminding me!!.

He he, I don't think I would be able to resist my boys Birthday cakes either!!. Aww I bet it's lovely having twins...... I bet it's hard work though!!.

Hi all

I am on my phone and not computer so I can only write the basics but I will come back tomorrow and write more, which I hope is helpful. I transitioned to the diet for a while and by that I mean I had full fat yoghurts until last week and I started cutting down to one meat/fish meal a day a couple of weeks ago. Also tried a few days to come in totals to see if I could do it. Yesterday in my mind was the first day where I wanted to start getting within totals. For me the aim is 1800-1900 calories, 50-60g protein max, 60g (30%) fat max. This is less than what I have been used to and I burn c750 calories daily Monday-Friday and c400 on Saturday.

I get up at 530 to go to gym and have a coffee before that. I then try to hold out until 10 for breakfast. I now have Rachel's organic low day or fat free yoghurt. I like the vanilla or Greek style. I tend to make a big 450g tub last 3 days. I have this with fruit - a banana, strawberries, raspberries, kiwi, whatever is available really.

Today's lunch is probably helpful to share - I had 2 baked sweet potatoes (they were quite small, so probably 200g in total) some slim pasta (available at ocado/Waitrose, I'll find the link tomorrow), veggies cooked in the griddle pan - onion, mushroom, babycorn, courgette. The pasta sauce was a baby one, again I'll post the link tomorrow as it's probably a good LE product.

I'll go now as I can be much more helpful using a computer so I'll be back when I can.

Forgot to add I also had an essential Waitrose side salad at lunch with a little wagamamas spicy chilli, coriander and ginger dressing.

Hello again

I am so sorry for you loss. You are v brave, I can't imagine how hard it must have been. Cant blame you for falling off the wagon. Big hugs xx

I am on My fitnesspal. I honestly couldnt stay on the diet without it. I have lost a stone in the last year and am at my 2nd smallest weight. The first being my wedding so I wont beat that! If you ladies join there is a function that when you complete your dairies you can share then for you 'friends' to see. This can be useful as you know everyone will see what youve eaten so are stricter. If you ladies join let me know and ill pm my details. Plus it'll help us see what we each eat and get more ideas for meals etc..

momo, yes I use a lot of WW stuff xx

I have been charting using bbt since March, I have a short LP though :( I am having fertility tests this month so test it. I have about 6-9 days between ov and af.

I did start ttc in Sept but used lime douche and obv didnt get pregnant. I then stopped due to my cycles.

What suppliments are you ladies taking? When are you starting them? Is your hubby taking any?

I will be taking antihystamines and baby asprin every 2 days. I may also take some others. Hubby will be taking LR but only 1 a day as when he had 2 a day his teeth hurt!!??Also abstaining and going for 1 attempt. Still not sure if to lime douche again... xx

dreamingofwin
November 6th, 2013, 04:18 AM
Also what totals are you sticking to?

I am having 30g fat or under and 40g protein or under. I dont count anything else. I am trying to stick to 1200 cals but it varies between 1000-1200 a day.

Im not a dream member or bought a plan. I didnt want to get too obsessed with it all and fear I will if I do either of those things x

pinkplspls
November 6th, 2013, 06:23 AM
MrsM17 I love that idea about myfitnesspal, the only people on mine are my mum & sister! I will def pm you my log in details!

I have a short LP too, I am hoping to god its the result of my loss, I was almost 17 weeks pregnant :(

I had a miscarriage once before & needed a D&C, I bled between my period for almost 8 months, as soon as it stopped I got pg again.

My hubby is taking Olive Leaf as its not a good idea for him to take LR.

I'm defo doing the antihistamines, I always have a lot of CM, and the baby aspirin every 3 days for now will increase as I go.

I dont know what my total fat intake for the day is, I need to start keeping track of it, We get paid next week so I think I will buy some foods to keep me on track with the totals then.

I was considering going for the fertility tests myself, I have had a mild pcos diagnosis many years ago, but been pregnant 5 times since, but privately it costs a fortune which I cant justify right now. The NHS would possibly eventually help me but it would take forever & with three children they can be quite unaccomodating

I do recommend the personalised sway plan though, I've read through mine a few times but rather than it making me obsessed its help me to know what 'is" important, there's not really a whole heap of stuff for me, its just incredibly personalised to my circumstances and history. I love it!

As promised, here are some products I am using:

Slim pasta/noodles:
Ocado: Search Results for slim pasta (http://www.ocado.com/webshop/getSearchProducts.do?clearTabs=yes&isFreshSearch=true&entry=slim+pasta)

Pasta sauce:
Ocado: Error (http://www.ocado.com/webshop/product/Peter-Rabbit-Organics-Italian-Vegetable-Sauce/31900011?prevPageIndex=2&from=favourites&tags=%7C20000&param=browse&parentContainer=FAVS_SHELFVIEW)

Low fat yoghurt:
Ocado: Rachel's Organic Low Fat Vanilla Yogurt (Product Information) (http://www.ocado.com/webshop/product/Rachels-Organic-Low-Fat-Vanilla-Yogurt/19317011?from=search&tags=%7C20000&param=rachels+organic+yoghurt&parentContainer=SEARCHrachels+organic_SHELFVIEW)

I dont like diet coke or other drinks like that, not really a fan of sugary pop either but I have started to drink some every now and again for empty calories. I like Pret's sparkling ginger beer, appeltiser and san pellegrino lemonade if that helps anyone else.

If anyone wants to add me on myfitnesspal and have a nosey at what I eat, PM me and I will give you my details.

I am actually not finding it as hard as I thought I would (hopefully I am doing it right), I do miss fish and meat already but I will have it 2-3 times a week. I had trout last night and was on 64g protein for the day. Next cheat day will be friday.

pinkpls - really sorry to hear about your loss. sending healthy dust your way.

I will be starting to TTC in January so anyone still TTC then I will be around to be cycle buddies.

Thanks for the tips STEPHK!! XX
MOMO, I think WW are a great idea now after reading up on the calories e.t.c, think I will be trying loads of WW products :)

I've been advised in my personalized plan only to take folic acid, fiber and antihistamine supplements as all the others may affect my thyroid. I suffered with an overactive thyroid after having my 1st DS, but been ok since 2011, but Atomic advised me not to take the others, vitex etc in case it flares up my thyroid again.

We are aiming for hubby doing FR on his own for 7-10 days prior to O and then 1 attempt at pos OPK. He has been advised to take cranberry and LR and to drop meat and fish, eat Soy and to have hot baths prior to DTD and to wear tight undies!!!.

Think I will register with my fitness pal :)

Hi Girls,

I went shopping today stocking up for my Girl sway :)
I went to Holland & Barratt to buy DH his LR but could only find the jars of 420mg. Atomic has advised me on my plan for him to take 450mg 3x a day. I know he can take a little less, but does anyone know if they sell it anywhere else in higher doses?. Thanks.

P.S,

Also, I couldn't find Calcium and Magnesium in separate jars, they only sold them in jars of calcium and magnesium together.
This is for DH, I'm not taking it. Do you know where they sell them separate?.
Thanks. xx

Just going to give him LR. Will try one morning and night again see if he gets side effects if he does it'll just be one a day. Im telling him to drink peppermint tea every night too but he does that a lot anyway.

I am really worried about sticking to this coming up to Xmas. I ov on Xmas day!! I sooo wwanted to really kick it up a notch on ov week but thinking ill be gaining weight which is not good. Starting to think about waiting until Jan :(

Thanks MRSM.
Me too, I'm dreading the Xmas hols and I've only just started doing the LE diet this weekend, but I'm going to try and stick to it over Xmas. I Ov just before Xmas.
Oh no, OV on Xmas day, it's just bad bloody timing isn't it that we are TTC in Dec!!!.

Think I'm going to struggle on this LE diet and I've only just started!!!. I'm so used to having breakfast as soon as I get up at 7am, but stuck it out until 11.00!!.
I went shopping and must have looked like I'm obsessed, as I was studying all the ingredients on the back of everything I bought. I was in Asda for over an hour!!!.
This is what I eat yesterday:

7.30am- Cup of de-caff tea with skimmed milk
10.00am - Small glass of caffeine free diet coke
11.00am- Two slices of WW bread with sugar free Jam and a Strawberry Muller Rice
1pm - Small glass of caffeine free diet coke.
3pm - 1 warburtons white pitta bread with philladelphia and lceburg lettuce and a handful of strawberries and rasberries.
5pm- Small glass of caffeine free diet coke
6.00pm - Asda mug shot pasta with veg (cauli, mushrooms) followed by a greek yoghurt.
Also water throughout the day.

What do you think?. I don't think you are supposed to eat the pasta with the yoghurt are you, carb and protein?.
Also, are you allowed the de-caff tea as soon as you get up?.

Thanks.

dollych
November 11th, 2013, 07:01 AM
P.S, What do you girlees think about the QUORN microwave meals as an alternative to meat?. I read the ingredients and they are low in fat and salt.

Also cereal/ breakfast bars like special k e.t.c?.
Are we allowed raisins?.

Thanks x

rainbowflower
November 11th, 2013, 07:20 AM
that doesn't sound like enough to me, how much does it add up to cal/prot/fat-wise?

raisins - allowed
cereal bars - oats tend to sway blue, but small amounts are fine as long as you don't eat them all day. cereal bars are probably better than cereal because they tend to fortify cereal with vitamins and minerals

quorn - fine as long as it's within protein limits

decaf tea in the morning - fine too

dollych
November 11th, 2013, 07:46 AM
Thanks rainbowflower. I did add it up last night and It wasn't enough cals/ fat so I'm going to up it today.
Are the muller Rice or Yoghurts Ok to eat with the bread in the morning?.
They are good to fill you up until lunch!!! :)

dreamingofwin
November 11th, 2013, 04:03 PM
I don't think that sounds much. I think of it like eat normally but with quorn alternatives. I can easily eat chili rice and garlic bread in my limits xxx

In tesco today there is a whole section to quorn stuff new fake ham/chicken etc.. Most cold meat stuff. Worth a look.

Ladies made a decision tonight. We're putting ttc off untill Jan/Feb. I just want to enjoy Xmas and as this is our 2nd and last baby there's no reason to push myself in conflict. I don't want to end up stuffing my face and regretting it. I want to know i tried my very best. Still hanging around though xxxxx

Sorry to board-crash but when I tried swaying IG style (before finding this fab site) I took cal/mag supps & used to buy them from Boots. I'm pretty sure that they sold them separately but this was back in 2011 & I gave them up last year. Long story....stupid IG/Shettles! GL with your sway :D

Hi Girls!!,

How's everyone doing on the LE diet???. I have to say I am finding it really hard and it's only day 4!!!. I don't usually get stressed about things, But I'm feeling myself getting a tad stressed with all this calculating every food I eat!!. It's doing my head in already!!.
I'm using My fitness pal as some of you recommended and It's making it a lot easier. I'm within my limits on sodium, fat and protein, but always under on calories every day.
If I eat more foods with calories in them, then I go over my limits for protein, sodium and fat aaarrrrrrgggghhhhhhhh!!!!.

Has anyone any tips on what to eat to get more calories without going over??.
Please can you give me some tips and write down what you are eating daily so I can get an idea what to eat. I'm sticking to the foods in the LE diet plan, but it's a bit boring and I feel like I'm starving myself!!.
All week I've been eating things like, white toast with sugar free jam, fat free yoghurts, pasta, soups, jacket potato with heinz beans (can we eat them???)
pitta breads with lettuce, cucumber and philadelphia, quorn foods, strawberries, raspberries, apples, pears, grapes and veggie casseroles.
Any tips will be very helpful as I'm HUNGRY!!!!! :)

Can u set your food diary so I can see it? Ill nosy then and offer advice.

Ignore sodium IMO. I don't count it.

I was never hungry on le.
Coffee for breakfast with skimmed milk. I then drink cranberry fruit tea all day.
Cup o soup if i can't last till lunch sonedsys
Lunch usually ww soup and a plain bagel no marge. Fat free yogurt or jelly. Jelly is just calories and no fat/protein. Sandwich some days
Tea is whatever im making everyone so varies. Stir fry, chili and rice, pasta, quorn sausage with mash and veg etc..
Afterwards usually a few hrs later ill have a packet of walkers sunbites or a ww muffin. Ill even have half a low fat custard pot with a warm muffins if I've enough fat/protein xxxxx

is that 915 cals? if so you definitely need to eat more, you shouldn't be eating less than 1200 cals on LE diet as it can actually stop swaying pink that way or something if you eat too little (forget the exact logic why)

November 15th, 2013, 08:14 AM
Yes it is :( I'm changing my eating today and not going below 1200. I was struggling getting enough calories without going over the other limits. I've done a bit more reading and know what to eat now to get that calorie intake up!!. Thanks

Hi MrsM!!,

I've been on the LE diet for nearly 3 weeks now and it's going Ok. I've lost nearly 5Lbs :)
I'm delaying breakfast until about 11am, not had any meat, fish or eggs and staying within the limits.
I feel like I'm just eating rubbish though, white bread, pittas, wraps, quorn stuff and eating cakes and biscuits to up my cals!!.
I'm trying to be good eating my fruit and veggies, but not had any all weekend, that's why I feel like I'm just eating rubbish!!.
I miss my cereal in the morning and Tuna sandwiches and just miss eating 'normal' and snacking!!. I hope I don't have to be on this LE diet for long because already I'm sick of watching and counting everything I put in my gob!! :0
Sounds like you're doing great skipping the breakfast, I wouldn't worry about having 'normal days' they say you can have them!! :)
Our first attempt is in about 3 weeks aaarrrggghhh!!!!.
Are you still going for your first attempt in Jan?. xx

OK some lunches i have been enjoying:

Lunch 1:
Rainbow salad:Ocado: Rainbow Salad Bowl Waitrose (Product Information) (http://www.ocado.com/webshop/product/Rainbow-Salad-Bowl-Waitrose/57807011?from=search&tags=%7C20000&param=rainbow+salad&parentContainer=SEARCHrainbow+salad_SHELFVIEW)
Pretzel baton (this is like a baguette but tastes like a pretzel - AMAZING)
Creme de brie for the baton (this is wonderful stuff): Ocado: President Creme de Brie (Product Information) (http://www.ocado.com/webshop/product/President-Creme-de-Brie/86245011?from=search&tags=%7C20000&param=creme+de+brie&parentContainer=SEARCHcreme+de+brie_SHELFVIEW)
Some pre-prepared grilled veggies (any you like) for the sandwich
Chilli beetroot side salad: Ocado: Chilli Beetroot Side Salad Waitrose (Product Information) (http://www.ocado.com/webshop/product/Chilli-Beetroot-Side-Salad-Waitrose/92473011?from=search&tags=%7C20000&param=beetroot+salad&parentContainer=SEARCHbeetroot+salad_SHELFVIEW)
Thats approx 700cal, 18g protein, 22g fat

Of course you could just have the sandwich and no salads but I need to fill up on something and I do a lot of exercise.

Lunch 2:
Rainbow salad as above
Some chilli dressing if you like: Ocado: Wagamama Chilli, Coriander & Ginger Dressing (Product Information) (http://www.ocado.com/webshop/product/Wagamama-Chilli-Coriander--Ginger-Dressing/73731011?from=search&tags=%7C20000&param=wagamamma&parentContainer=SEARCHwagamamma_SHELFVIEW)
Waitrose do a cous cous with veggies but I can't find a link for it
Some pre-prepared grilled veggies from home
Thats approx 500cals, 8g fat, 10g protein

Lunch 3:
A pretzel
An avocado
A rainbow salad as above
Wagamama dressing as above
Quinoa salad: Ocado: Quinoa & Sugar Snap Pea Salad Waitrose (Product Information) (http://www.ocado.com/webshop/product/Quinoa--Sugar-Snap-Pea-Salad-Waitrose/92488011?from=search&tags=%7C20000&param=quinoa+and+sugar+snap&parentContainer=SEARCHquinoa+and+suga_SHELFVIEW)
Thats approx 770cals, 30g fat, 17g protein
(so for a day when you need to get some fat)

I can hear DS waking from his nap so have to go. I hope this helps someone. Sorry it is waitrose centric, but that is the shop near work, and you get the idea. I fill up on a lot of salads and veg because they are mainly free.

I am doing 50-60g protein, 30% fat for maximum calories because I do a lot of exercise, so if it seems like a lot, thats why. I also believe in doing the diet at the maximum as it leaves something to play with later. Plus I am much less miserable than if I was being more restrictive.

Today is the first day i have eaten rice since starting the diet. This is my lunch:
Tilda Curry rice - 1 whole pack: Ocado: Tilda Curry Limited Edition (Product Information) (http://www.ocado.com/webshop/product/Tilda-Curry-Limited-Edition/79733011?from=search&tags=%7C20000&param=tilda+curry+rice&parentContainer=SEARCHtilda+curry+ric_SHELFVIEW)
1 small white onion
1 courgette
some babycorn
some mushrooms
some asparagus.
i cooked the veggies in the smallest amount of chilli infused olive oil last night and added the pack of rice plus some chilli flakes. Just heated it up in the microwave at work and its rather yum. Obviously use whatever veg you want/have at home.
Approx nutritionals: cals: 430, fat 13g, protein 6g.
I needed to have something with low values because we went out for a team breakfast this morning and I had eggs florentine with hollandaise sauce (which according to myfitnesspal is approx 38g fat and 30g protein!
Tonight i am having the sweet potato/spinach mornay meal i listed earlier so for the day i will be on 1855 cals, 68g fat (33%) and 43g protein. i have a cold so have had a couple of teaspoons of manuka honey (and realised what a great source of empty cals!!). I may also have a can of pret sparkling ginger beer and some raspberries when I have finished eating this rice.

As a vegetarian I always used to prefer only vegetables, fruits, shakes etc and to be honest sometimes I used to try for eggs(For protein) also but only when I used have a heavy workouts and that's what my LE diet is :)

Todays lunch:
Rainbow salad
pack of sweetfire beetroot: Ocado: Sweetfire Beetroot Wedges Waitrose (Product Information) (http://www.ocado.com/webshop/product/Sweetfire-Beetroot-Wedges-Waitrose/30862011?from=search&tags=%7C20000&param=sweetfire+beetroot&parentContainer=SEARCHsweetfire+beetr_SHELFVIEW)
Roast butternut squash, beetroot and pomegranate salad from waitrose
This comes in at 412 cals, 5g protein, 9g fat.

I will be having some low fat yoghurt and fruit for breakfast as usual and i had a cup of coffee before gym this morning. so 330 cals, 4g fat, 8g protein.

Dinner today will be:
A seabass fillet cooked with a small amount of garlic infused olive oil and rosemary
Chunky chips: Ocado: Chunky Chips Waitrose (Product Information) (http://www.ocado.com/webshop/product/Chunky-Chips-Waitrose/75061011?from=search&tags=%7C20000&param=chunky+chips&parentContainer=SEARCHchunky+chips_SHELFVIEW)
Red cabbage: Ocado: Red Cabbage Waitrose (Product Information) (http://www.ocado.com/webshop/product/Red-Cabbage-Waitrose/22740011?from=search&tags=%7C20000&param=red+cabbage&parentContainer=SEARCHred+cabbage_SHELFVIEW)
Bit of hellmans light mayo
This is approx 740 cals, 29g fat, 25g protein
(I will also have a magnum ice cream for dessert which is 220 cals, 15g fat, 3g protein and will share a bottle of wine with DH so thats 250-300 cals each)

Just to be open on the full day, I will more than likely have an afternoon snack as I usually do (I cannot let this go) and will probably have a graze chocolate orange and pep tea. 181 cals, 7g fat, 2g protein.

So I will be over on cals today but within totals for fat and protein and to be honest that is fine by me. I am not concerned about calories because I burn so much in the gym. Today i burned 811 calories so consuming 2300 calories on a friday night really does not bother me but just pointing out in case anyone wonders why I am happy with the above meals :) in fact I am very happy to be eating fish as I do really miss having the amount of fish i used to.

December 6th, 2013, 07:34 AM

Hi MrsM, it's so hard at Christmas isn't it, so much nice food around! And when you meet up with people and go to their houses, food is always involved, especially at this time of year. I can't comment on age gaps as I only have 1 and by the time we start in Jan/feb, he will already be 17 months old.

I would say, don't give up but do your best with the diet over this season and then take a view. If you give up totally it will be harder to start all over again. It would be for me anyway.

I keep getting back on it then stopping again. I only seem to be able to stay within limits if I complete my fitness pal so I need to start that again. I know once I finish work for 2 weeks at xmas and my hubby does we'll pig out but keeping some things are better than nothing at all.

I only have the one son, he'll be 2 in Feb but still wonder if the gap will be too small x

I agree, it's so hard around Christmas and all the parties!!. I was on my works do on Sat and drank a ton of beer and washed it down with a burger and chips (the burger was veggie tho!!!!) :)
I'm out again this Sat and the weekend after too so will prob pile all this weight back on with the booze!!!!.
I'm sure you will be fine MRSM.
I have 2 boys, my youngest is only 10 months so I wouldn't worry. My eldest was 2 and a half when my youngest was born and it's a lovely gap. It's so nice watching them play together.

I'm still going to have a our first attempt in about 2 weeks. I've lost about 10lbs now, but I'm worried in case I put it all back on with the parties and outings.
I'm also worried because I'm just eating the same rubbish all the time like white bread toast and a muller rice for my breakfast at 11am, then lunch at 3pm will be a white pitta with quorn veggie chicken and lettuce and a yoghurt. Dinner at 6-6,30 will be a veggie frozen meal or low fat pasta followed by a piece of cake or biscuit.
I'm within my limits, but not eating any fruit or veg...... just rubbish :(
I'm losing weight but feel so guilty that I don't have the time to make the LE meals with the veggies and fruit e.t.c
Anyone else struggling to find the time to make the meals?.
xx

Hi Girls,

How you all doing on the LE diet?. Hope it's going ok xx
Just a quick question, is anyone still eating heinz beans with jacket potato or beans on toast?. I'm sure I read it in the LE diet that beans should only be eaten in moderation or avoided???, I'll have a look through again when I've more time.
Also I remember it saying peas should be eaten in moderation too. Does anyone eat the marrowfat processed peas, garden peas or mushy peas?.
I eat all these about once a week.
Thanks xx

Personally, I don't eat beans like Heinz because I don't love them enough to sacrifice protein from other sources. If I have beans I need cheese so it all goes heavy on the fat and protein. That doesn't mean you can't have them, as long as you are within your totals for the day. I do eat cheese a fair bit, especially Brie as I can't have it once PG!

Garden peas I love and eat them once or twice a week counting calories and protein.

The diet isn't going that well right now due to time of year but I'm really doing my best. Next week will be hard as we will be at my mums from Sunday to Friday, no gym in sight, I won't be able to insist on having a separate meal with no meat every day so it's going to be hard but again ill do my best. I'm certainly not going to hold back on Christmas Day!!!

I am still lurking but we think we are putting it off until April/May time. We want 3 years between our son and little bro/sis, we cant afford to struggle with childcare costs :( I am hitting the gym come jan and going full on veggie and getting onto LE properly though xx

Gosh, did christmas happen! Our waistlines probably know it did ;)

I have found a new rice for those of you that like rice:
Ocado: Merchant Gourmet Camargue Red Rice (Product Information) (http://www.ocado.com/webshop/product/Merchant-Gourmet-Camargue-Red-Rice/48175011?from=search&tags=%7C20000&param=merchant+gourmet&parentContainer=SEARCHmerchant+gourme_SHELFVIEW)
You guys may already be aware of it but I had never heard of it before.

Last night I made 2 portions and had one hot with lots of veggies and some filled mushrooms.

Today I am eating the other portion cold with some roast veggies (onion, tomato, asparagus, mushroom, babycorn) from yesterday and a salad I have posted before: Ocado: Quinoa & Sugar Snap Pea Salad Waitrose (Product Information) (http://www.ocado.com/webshop/product/Quinoa--Sugar-Snap-Pea-Salad-Waitrose/92488011?from=search&tags=%7C20000&param=quinoa&parentContainer=SEARCHquinoa_SHELFVIEW)
So today's lunch is 483 cal, 11g protein and 6g fat. After the indulgences last week I was good yesterday and trying to be good today as the next 2 days will likely involve cheating again....

Hi StephK!!,

I was a bit naughty for 2 days, Christmas day and boxing day. I had a small bit of turkey and some Xmas pud and xmas cake!!.... oh and some roses chocolates!!!. I just thought it would be rude not too seeing as it's Christmas!!!.
I'm worried sick now though because I think I ovulated Christmas day. The LE diet has delayed my ovulation and I ovulated later than I thought I would. I was using the clearblue fertility monitor and OPK cheapies. I didn't get a peak on my monitor, but had dark lines for about 3-4 days with the cheapies, so I really don't know when I ovulated :( This has never happened to me before, but Atomic confirmed the LE diet will delay ovulation...... so I think I'm now in the 2 week wait as we DTD Christmas eve.
I'm gutted because Atomic advised only to DTD once and we had 3 attempts because I thought I was going to ovulate and didn't on the 20th and 22nd.

So I shall have to wait and see......... hopefully I'm still in with a chance because I was doing good on the diet and have lost a stone so far.........just hope I've not ruined it with the Turkey e.t.c and DTD more than once!! :(

Hope you all have a fab New year xx

Bless you! It really doesn't sound like you messed it up food wise. You have been on the diet for so long, and lost a stone so even if you ate a whole box of roses I am sure that wouldn't send a strong enough signal to your body. I was naughty on christmas eve, christmas day and boxing day with food and eating meat. And I have been eating chocolates every day. On christmas day I had 4000 calories, sorry but it has to be done at christmas. It really is just a few days, I honestly don't think it makes a difference. I think you are fine diet wise, honestly a bit of turkey on one day won't make a difference. Congrats on getting an attempt in - fingers crossed it all works out for you.

Awww thanks StephK, you're right, a few days won't matter and how could we say no at Christmas!!!!.
Well I didn't think I would be saying this, but I'm really happy that my period came today :)
My OV was actually earlier than I expected this month and I missed the LH surge with the fertility monitor and OPK'S because I didn't start testing early enough, so I'm going to start testing earlier this month and be super strict with the diet again starting from tomorrow.......... a few wines and treats are in order tonight seeing as it's Friday night and back to work Monday :(

Good luck ladies with your Pink sways in 2014 and let's hope this is our year!!!! :) xxx

Hiya, best way to check if a past swayer was successful is to click on their name and view their threads. Most past swayers will have a thread describing their sway and this usually Will tell you if the outcome was successful :)
