I'm breastfeeding, so I can't take Saw Palmetto, so I really need to get better about drinking my peppermint tea. I've been averaging about one very large bowl/mug brewed for a long time with two bags a day - can that count for two of my cups, or is it important to space them out? If I have a cup in the morning as well, would that raise my blood sugar at all?

I'm also BF so I am not taking SP. Drinking PT in the am shouldn't raise your BS at all unless you add milk/creamer/etc. to it. I don't know about the spacing for sure...maybe someone else can add to this thread. I would think sipping it throughout the day would be better...??? I brew a big cup w/2 bags in it in the am to get me started. I do this a few times throughout the day w/2 fresh bags each time so I get 6 - 8 bags per day. I don't know if this is too much or if I'm right on target...:worry: I find that if I sip warm PT, it helps keep my hunger down. Sometimes I even brew it and put it in the fridge to drink iced as a nice change. Hope this helps...

I am having deja vu all over again, apologies if I already answered this q on another thread!! o.O

Yes, that is fine to count 2 tea bags as 2 cups. You don't need to take it throughout the day, it works differently than say folic acid, where your body actually uses it to function.

If you have plain pep tea that shouldn't raise your blood sugar in any appreciable way.
