I know! We've got the EXACT same thing going on...I expected that after cramps/backache/brown discharge yesterday, my temp would drop today but it just stayed about the same. It's so frustrating! I thought I read on FF or somewhere that it can take up to 72 hrs after implantation to get some sort of + on a test. I never get the discharge and if I cramp, I usually start AF w/in 12-24 hrs and when I do, it's like "Thar she blows!", lol. Not really any spotting, etc. I'm hopeful yet still wondering if I even O'd this cycle. So frustrating! Hope you get some good news today!!!

BTW, that is a WONDERFUL dream!

Doula, didn't PP AF just come back for you? Mine finally came back 13 mos later (in March) and my cycles are still wiggidy, especially adding and then subtracting Vitex to the mix. Since I took Vitex (not sure if you took it or not), I never got a true + on my OPK. I was trying to take OPKs through out last cycle and nothing seemed to make sense w/the OPKs...I got some color, no color, some color, no color. I am still questioning whether or not I actually O'ed since I never got +OPKs but the temps and my body showed that I probably did. I know you don't want to temp b/c you're always up at weird hrs...I sort of am too but I just started doing it and little by little, my body would automatically wake up the same time every morning (04:30), I'd take the temp and try to go back to sleep a little before one of the kiddos woke up. You may want to just try it for a few wks and see if you can get into some sort of routine. Not sure if this helps you at all...Still have my FX for you:HH:

FB what a precious dream! I hope it comes true for you soon. ITA that at your DPO the discharge could be IB, esp if you don't normally get brown before. SO that could actually be a great sign!!!

OOB you'll test tomorrow then?!?! How exciting! Part of the reason I might hold off on POAS is I usually start spotting 2-3 days before AF anyway so I'm thinking I'd be able to tell yay/nay just by that. But like I said, I'll probably end up POAS anyway :-)

That's the thing- Ive only had one period since ds3 was born so my cycles are wacky. I just had so many ovulation symptoms that I figured I had O'd. I'm just supremely frustrated. Sorry to bug you guys.

We just went for it last night....LOL I had a darker than yesterday opk this am at 9:30 so who knows!! Maybe I'll O...maybe I'll have to start taking the vitex again. I've been taking it AF to O and with my first real cycle I o'd on cd23 and then got AF 11 days later. This time around it was cd 13 and I got O cramps, EWCM, a darker(but not totally +)opk, and then sharp O pains on late cd 14. My cervix started change back from SHOW on cd 15...it all pointed at O on cd14.

I bought another HPT just in case I get a blaring + opk and then I can make sure I'm not preggo.

Funny story-
I got "ready" for DTD last night....
-douched with lime/water
-put some Replens in there
-popped a benadryl
-gave my hubby a wooden spoon for under the bed...LOL
-said "when you cum....make it shallow!"

15 mins later and we're done our thing......he grabs a towel, wipes himself off and says, "Why does my dick smell like a lime margarita?"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I almost laughed all of the sperm out of me!

Question for you ladies...because I know this thread is HOT! ;)
I've been testing every few hours today as my cervix is O.P.E.N. OPEN! (and I have massive amounts of EWCM, along with cramping today) and it's been getting progressively darker. The last opk I took today was about the same colour as the control line (I'll post pics in a few). So my question, do you guys get a nearly + opk one day and then a true + the next? Or does it go from negative to positive in one day?
I'm wondering if I may get a true dark + tomorrow which would mean I O on the following day giving us a 3 day cut off. Or I actually O tomorrow giving us a 2 day cutoff. I've just taken another benadryl and done the lime/replens etc to get rid of the ewcm and I'm going to use the second "batch" tonight if we DTD...also hubby is soaking in a HOT bath as I type....
I'm just a little afraid to DTD again tonight with O potentially right around the corner.

I may be back on this thread in 2 days...jeesh...what craziness....and a lot of wasted money on hpt's! Grrrrrr.....

ASF - Yes had this before BUT do idea how far along I was I *think* I was around the 3-4 week mark so not far!

DM I get a pretty dark one that isn't yet + and THEN either that night or the next am get my true positive. But this cycle that didn't work out, LOL ... I went from not too dark to positive overnight. It pissed me off and wrecked my timing, but oh well!

I don't have any pg tests in the house yet! Part of me really is considering just waiting on AF. I'm sorta hoping to not have gotten pg this cycle anyhow, so I kind of don't want to know, if that makes sense. I just got all caught up in how fun it would be to get pg on my birthday, but it really would be much better timing for us if we wait and TTC this fall.

TTC5 I just don't know; your symptoms were so classic pregnancy that I'm going to be very mad at your body if AF shows. Witch. But I think CM like that when AF is due probably means she is around the corner :-(

Doula, I've never gotten 2 days of +OPKs but I've heard of other women doing so. Man...You've been on such a rollercoaster! I'm hoping it's baby time for you this month! I'm so glad that you never really left this thread...:bigsmile:


I broke down and tested this a.m....BFN so I'm thinking I didn't ovulate this cycle. I don't think I O'ed last cycle either as these last 2 cycles failed to produce +OPKs. That means I only O'ed in March which was my first AF after delivery of DS#2 (13 mos later). I'm down in the dumps today, especially since it's really looking like I didn't O. I'm hoping that the failure to O was from travel and stress/grief over the dog situation and not from being too thin. When I was a few lbs. lighter, I would only get my cycle about 6 times a year but I didn't care b/c I was young and definitely not TTC. I'll take another test tomorrow but I'm not very hopeful. I guess I'll start up Vitex when AF comes (hopefully soon!). DH will be gone for the next cycle so I guess I'll be taking some time off. If I can't get a BFP, I'm reaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllyyyyyyyy hoping one of you will soon. My bets are on you, TTC5!!! :luck: :cheer: :luck:

I got my bfp's with my both my boys at 11dpo so I know that is my standard however...I keep hearing with girls you get earlier bfp's so I think I am either not pregnant or if I am it must be another boy. Oh well, at least we maek really cute boys and this was an oops month so go figure.

So guess what!! I got a true + opk this am at 9:30!! Yippee! I took pics of all my opk's from the past few days so I'll get them uploaded and see what you guys think. We just went ahead an BD last night, again popped a benadryl, did my lime margarita douching;), used replens. This time I laid still for 5 mins and then jumped and dumped into my diva cup, did a replens finger, put lime into the diva and inserted it. It was so damn uncomfortable I took it out 10 mins later....hoping some little girlies made it out of the lime cocktail! Anyway, I took another benadryl this am and turned all my fans on in the house.... Any other ideas from the girls ttc pink? Should we try the same thing tonight? Or just hope the past days was enough? Eeeeeek! Maybe I'll O tomorrow....or today. I'm going to be waiting for O pains:) Take care everyone! XO

Edited to add pic- The very bottom opk was taken at 12:30 pm and the 2 above it were done at 9:30am today. I hope this means that I'll actually O!! What are everyone's times from dark opk to O?

As for not O'ing...what the heck is going on in this thread!!! I hope all of our bodies get the memo and start cooperating with our TTC plans!!! I'd say vitex is a great idea....although you never know...I'm ovulating on cycle day 27! if I o tomorrow. Are you nursing your youngest? If so you could totally have longer cycles with later O. Are you still using opk's? FX'd that you're either pregnant or O'ing later than you thought:D

Saw this in New Posts. I have no idea what Tamara said but I can assure you from HT world, embryos take 5 days minimum to reach blast stage and then it has to hatch and implant. We only see BFP's at 4 days after a 5-day transfer(and that is usually only with a twin pregnancy) which is the equivalent of 9 dpo. Not possible at 3 dpo at all.

Tested this am and still nothing, this did happen though with my last son. I test alot (lol) and I did not get my faint line untill the evening of 11DPO. I will count myself tomorrow for sure if BFN and go ahead and start my vitex and saw palmetto again. Been off since May 5th.

Well, the baby put a wrench in our BD plans last night...It was so weird. He sleeps so soundly the first portion of the night and it was almost like he KNEW what we were trying to do! My hubby really believes that his mother(died 5 years ago) was poking the baby....LOL! I do believe in spirits etc...it's just a little strange thinking about her looking in on us while BD'ING!!! Also, my hubby is SO not in the mood for BDing all the time...which I'm certain is the licorice root talking. He's been on it for 3+ weeks now(goes off for 2 in a few days once I know I've ovulated) and his sex drive is WAY DOWN! That stuff really works:) Anyway, I'm not too sure how long those poor Benadryl/lime/Replens/Sylk sperm are going to live inside of me. If I O today by midnight it'll be a 2 and 3 day cut-off and if it's not til tomorrow then it'll be a 3-4 day cut-off:( I'm unsure if we should just keep BDing or not??? Do you guys really think that timing is not of importance??? Maybe I'll try for O+12 or something? AHHH! I hate this! I have 3 O babies so I'm a little bit scared to DTD today or tomorrow. Either way I'll most likely be joining the true 2WW in a day or two:)

Oh yeah- two more questions- do you guys get fade outs? I had the darkest opk yesterday at 12pm. The rest were + but not as dark as that one. This morning it's still basically + but now it's the exact same colour as the control line. I'm thinking it's going to get lighter and lighter through the day. Do any of you actually feel ovulation? If so, how long after your + do you usually O?

True! I forgot about that aspect! Duh. I feel O pains so with the last 2 kiddos I would get pain in the am and do the deed about 6 hours later(with most likely a 5-7 day abstinence because I'm not a high sex drive girl). This time around it's night and day difference especially with the diet change(although not huge it's still a difference) and the supps etc. I guess I could load up on the "junk" in the good ole va-jay-jay and see what happens... ;) Thanks Begonia:) How are you doing??

I chickened out! LOL! Actually I just had this feeling that we shouldn't try again that night....I then sat down and looked at when I started to get a + opk, when I would have surged and when, in comparison to the drying up of CM, harder cervix, etc, I actually think I O'd. When I investigated(I don't take temps) it looks like I O'd around midnight at the end of June 16th. So we DTD at the end of the day on the 14th and the 15th, so I have a 1(and 2) day cut-off. I've had 3 O day babies now and I think I would just worry too much if I tried on O day again.

Anyway, going by when I think I O'd.....I'm around 2dpo today:) 3boys- We're cycle buddies! And wanting our little girls after 3 boys....which are basically the same age! LOL! My little guys just turned 5 and 3 a month or two ago and my littlest turns 1 today!

I'm not overly confident about being pregnant though...After putting that lime/replens/sylk cocktail up there.....I'm not sure ANY sperm lived. Ah well. I don't think I'll be too disappointed if I'm not because I would seriously love to try for an April baby. I don't think I'm going to test like I did last time. I'm going to wait until 12 dpo....which puts me at June 28th.

TTC5- I stuck around:).....we want to know how things are going....and you'll only be "technically"gone for 12 days...LOL No point in going anywhere!

Doula, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your little man! How fun :-) First birthdays are always so precious! Sounds like your timing worked out well for you, now the wait ... FX it ends in a BFP! Like you I'm not going to be upset though if this isn't my month. It really was a fairly spontaneous try, only b/c I was O'ing on my birthday and it felt lucky ... we're better off from a birth-timing perspective to get pg in the fall. If I did fall pg this cycle I'm due 1st week of March!

I've had nausea for 3 days but it truly could be related to my allergies, so I'm not really sitting here thinking it is a pg symptom. I'm actually quite hopeful it is just allergies bc if I am in fact pg and the sickness starts this early ... waaaah!!!

I looked up my O date and I would be due March 9th. Not the greatest EDD;) my oldest's bday is March 15 and I really did want separate birth months. The only reason I went for it this month was because it felt like a good month...don't ask me why! LOL I guess it's kinda like why you tried. Something was telling me to just try. Who knows. With a solid 2 day cutoff I'm not holding my breath. So when do you start testing, Begonia? I'm more excited about you testing than me!

Okay, ladies…I think this cycle is just driving me completely nuts! On Sat., I entered my info in on FertilityFriend and it then pushed me back 2 days so I’m 12dpo today instead of 14. I took a test yesterday and it was negative although I thought I maybe saw something…ARG!. I so thought all this drama would be over by now but it’s not. I swear I’m preggers b/c of my nails…I’m dead serious…They’re usually really flimsy and break easily but now they’re as thick as my toenails. They’re never this way unless I’m preggers and I just noticed it last Thursday. I swear I’m going insane b/c I’m having many other symptoms too but they’re probably just psycho-somatic. :tissue: I would have kissed my BFP goodbye except these darn nails are like a sign to hold on. I’m going to get another type of test at the store today and then test tomorrow if AF doesn’t come... XXX to you all!!!

Thank you!! I'm totally cool with BFN this month....LOL so maybe it will happen ;) I'm 3-4 dpo today, just started taking my temps 2 days ago and started charting with FF. I'm actually excited to take temps at 6am...is that weird...LOL!? I know it's a bit late if I'm preggo but if not I have some idea what temps will look like for next cycle. My hubby thinks I've lost my marbles....;) I think I may have too. The only reason why I would love to be preggo this month is so I can go to a Birth conference in mid April of next year. I would have 4 week old but babes in arms are welcome and I REALLY want to go.....if I'm not preggo then I'll have to put off TTC until Sept :( if I want to go. Otherwise I'll be due in April or I'll be too pregnant to go on the plane...ugh! Most people would think TTC is way more important...but there are so many amazing midwives etc at the conference(one from Australia I'm dying to meet/hear) and the next one is in Australia...bit too far away for me:) Enough blabbing...how is everyone doing??!! it looks like we could have 2-3 BFP's soon!!!:fx::pray::luck::XX::xy::fingers::cheer:

Hey- Quick question.... Do all you loverley ladies in the 2ww actually feel ovulation every time?
I felt O when I got pregnant with DS2 and DS3 (was kinda clueless about my body with DS1 plus I was on the pill when I got pregnant with him :suprise: ...) but this time around I felt nothing. And after the fiasco 2 weeks ago when I thought I O'd but I didn't...I'm a teensy bit worried that I should have felt something....
BUT I don't always have O pain during cycles, and most for that matter but I would still get a regular cycle every month and I'm pretty sure I was ovulating(I'm 29). Anyway, interested to see what you guys say!

Thanks for making me feel better! :) I just feel so out of the loop when it comes to my body right now....it's a tad confusing. I did get a VERY dark opk for 9+ hours but after doing some research that doesn't mean much unless you've seen a temp shift....ugh(just started temping so have no idea if I had a shift or not....). All I can go by is the fact that the last dark opk I had 21 months ago got me pregnant with DS3. :)
Ah well.

LOL, DM ... I surprisingly have not been super obsessive about this 2WW, thank goodness! It's really my 1st one since DD1 was completely unplanned, and DD2 we weren't trying but also weren't preventing ... it was the 1st month off bcp's. So this is the 1st time I've really "tried" to get pg, LOL!

Just the 2 DD's ... one is 5, and one just turned 2, and both are tomboys :bigsmile: Which suits me well ... Disney Princesses scare me :rofl: When DD1 was little she used to say she was allergic to princesses, she's always been a little tomboy! They are currently playing with a big ol' pile of legos and I love it bc that's how I grew up. That said if either of them wanted to do something princessy or what have you I'd be all over it ... I want to encourage their interests even when they don't mesh with mine.

Hobbies ... we're building a house right now so most of my spare time is spent trying to pick out roof color or light fixtures or things like that. It's super fun! Other than that I do a couple different volunteer things and am trying to find some to do with my oldest. Last weekend DD1 and I spent an afternoon shopping for stuff to take to the animal shelter nearby and that was a great one for her :happy: But of course now she wants to adopt them all :suprise:

Begonia, your girls sound so much like my sis and I growing up! :) We were always outside mucking around with the horses and playing in the dirt and manure! LOL It was awesome. I love the "allergic to princesses" comment! Hilarious! That's exciting about the house! And good for you with the volunteering! So good for your kids to participate in things like that! I can understand why she'd want to adopt them all.....I would too.

Let's see, my kids are bonkers! LOL The oldest is 5 and he's a mama's boy:) Loves to go places, see things, explore the outdoors. I think I'm going to have a hoot homeschooling him:) My middle guy, who is 3, is a red haired tasmanian devil:) He goes and goes and never slows down. He climbs EVERYTHING and gets into EVERYTHING. He's got a temper on him that is actually a little frightening....LOL I think once he grows up a bit he'll be much easier but right now I do all I can so he doesn't accidently kill himself...LOL My littlest is just the sweetest peanut:) He's a BIG mama's boy and loves trying to walk, eating food and having BOOB! He's so easy and calm most of the time. My angel baby:)

I also used to ride quite a bit (before children) in Hunter/Jumper competitions. We also fly fish, camp, hike, travel. I love gardening and I'm out in my garden every day. I just built 5 raised beds in our back yard and they are full of seedlings, soon to be yummy vegies! I also attend a few births a year as a doula. I'm pretty passionate about birth, breastfeeding and babies:) I birthed my little guy at home, unassisted with just my hubby and close friend in the room. Not everyone's cup of tea but I thought it was pretty awesome:) I plan on having another unassisted birth with my next one too:)

I am now in the 2ww although i am quite depressed now as i have just found out that too much aci jel will kill sperm.. :-( anyway i had a 2.5 day cut off and have been using aci jel pretty much every 4 hrs big no no so i doubt i will get a bfp this month. how silly am i feel terrible i have ruined my chances by doing something stupid.

AFM 4dpo and I swear I'm getting every PG symptom imaginable even though it's pretty impossible for me to even feel PG this early in the game. My stomach feels so bloated! It could either be the fertility meds or for some reason when I feel I might be pregnant I get paranoid about squashing the baby with my jeans LOL HA HA! Which means I notice how tight my trousers are more than usual. Crazy I know.

I will not be testing until 10dpo which is next Monday! It will go so slowly. Doula I can't tempt you to test on Monday with me? LOL

My temp went waaaay down this a.m. but I took a test anyway. BFN. Then, I noticed a bit of brown cm in my Diva Cup. Had a good cry, got ready, took my son to school and was thinking, “Well, at least this stupid cycle is over!”. Now there’s no blood, clear cm and my earlier BFN staring at me. I’m just going to call it done…I’m not holding out any hope at this point. I’ll wait until I get official AF before I start that darn Vitex again. The really good news is that now my cycle is so wiggedy, I probably won’t O until DH is back in town so we’ll hopefully be able to try again this next round. I’m going to have a good chat w/my ovaries and convince them to O nicely and give me +OPKs. Oh, yeah, I’m also going to ask that they O 2x so we can get twins, lol.

Begonia – Thanks so much for all your kind words/thoughts…FWIW, my symptoms have been:
• Cramping
• Backache
• Spotting once after cramping started (and I never spot)
• Fatigue
• Crying for no reason (6-8dpo)
• So thirsty
• Night sweats
• Can’t sleep well at night
• Vivid dreams
• Afternoon fatigue
• DS isn’t getting enough BM
• Freakishly strong nails – my nails are usually terrible unless I’m preg
• Bloating since 11dpo

Doula – That conference sounds amazing!!! I think you need to find a way to go! I’m really hoping you have that pink little girl in your arms when you go. Regarding O, sometimes I feel pains, sometimes I don’t. I heard that sometimes you get O pains before, sometimes after, possibly during but no one knows exactly when you O for sure. I’m hoping charting temps goes well for you. I tried it thinking it was going to be really annoying, hard and not worth it but I can really see trends when I chart and I just do it when I wake up which didn’t start out at the same time every day and still isn’t but it’s close enough to get a good idea of what’s going on. BTW, OMG, your stuff you made is AWESOME and you are such an interesting person!

Pinkin2011 – Welcome!!! I’ve been using quite a lot of Aci-jel too… I’m going to scale back for my next attempt…Sending you lots of BFPINKP thoughts…you never know about those little guys are crafty and it only takes one!

Doula that is so fantastic that we are cycle buddies!! We can obsess over pee sticks together. My eldest will be five in a few weeks so yeah... Wow our kids are close in age as DS3 is only just 1!!

Begonia have you pee'd on a stick today?? Can't wait to hear the results! I love living the 2WW through the excitement of others testing until it is my time.

AFM 4dpo and I swear I'm getting every PG symptom imaginable even though it's pretty impossible for me to even feel PG this early in the game. My stomach feels so bloated! It could either be the fertility meds or for some reason when I feel I might be pregnant I get paranoid about squashing the baby with my jeans LOL HA HA! Which means I notice how tight my trousers are more than usual. Crazy I know.

I will not be testing until 10dpo which is next Monday! It will go so slowly. Doula I can't tempt you to test on Monday with me? LOL

Too funny about the trouser comment! I get the exact same way! I've also been really (painfully so) gassy the past 2 days which is not nice at all! As for the testing....if I hadn't of wasted half a dozen tests for nothing about 1 week ago when I was SURE I was pregnant I would totally test with you on Monday!! And with the way I feel about this attempt.... :( :gloomy: I just really want to wait until AF shows which is around 11/12 dpo. The one thing that may change my mind about testing is if I get yellow, creamy cm. Every time I've been pregnant I get it in the late dpo stage so I may be convinced to test early...we'll see! LOL Here's hoping we can finish our families with a cute little pink bundle!!

Doula your family sounds like soooo much fun! And I loooove gardening! I had raised beds at my last home and have already been scouting the best places for them at the new place. And we go camping at least once a year... sounds like our families would have such fun together! Your middle boy and my youngest DD2 could cause trouble together for sure, lol! as for me BFN at 8dpo! If I wasn't entering this on my phone I'd put in the ROFL smiley! Who tests at 8 dpo anyway?!?! Lol! I've got 2 more tests so might alternate days and test at 10 and 12 now, we shall see! But I am a-ok witha bfn this time around.

Our families do sound very similar in regards to interests! :) You'll have to take pics of your garden once you get it going! I plan taking some pics here once my plants have become established in a month or two:) My mom got me into gardening when I was in my teens and once I got married my passion for it just took off! My hubby is really supportive of my interests and has many interests himself. He's into fixing things like cars and home improvement type stuff. He's also a hunter and goes bow hunting every year for our freezer:) As for the birthing stuff- Thanks! It was hands down one of the most amazing experiences of my life!

As for your BFN at 8 dpo.....I'm sorry!! My BFP's were no earlier than 9po(and 2 were after 11 dpo) and I was testing regularly. Although I know some women get them early, I would say that most women get them after 10 dpo:) I still have such good thoughts that you'll be a BFP'er soon!!!! We haven't had one in awhile!! Someone needs to have another before we're into July!!

My temp went waaaay down this a.m. but I took a test anyway. BFN. Then, I noticed a bit of brown cm in my Diva Cup. Had a good cry, got ready, took my son to school and was thinking, “Well, at least this stupid cycle is over!”. Now there’s no blood, clear cm and my earlier BFN staring at me. I’m just going to call it done…I’m not holding out any hope at this point. I’ll wait until I get official AF before I start that darn Vitex again. The really good news is that now my cycle is so wiggedy, I probably won’t O until DH is back in town so we’ll hopefully be able to try again this next round. I’m going to have a good chat w/my ovaries and convince them to O nicely and give me +OPKs. Oh, yeah, I’m also going to ask that they O 2x so we can get twins, lol.

Again....we don't stop hoping until the fat lady sings! I'm keeping my fingers crossed you! And here's hoping that your ovaries get the memo...twice!! LOL Twin girls.....how awesome would that be!

Hi Girls , thanks to Doula Mama i have found my way over to this thread... I am now in the 2ww although i am quite depressed now as i have just found out that too much aci jel will kill sperm.. :-( anyway i had a 2.5 day cut off and have been using aci jel pretty much every 4 hrs big no no so i doubt i will get a bfp this month. how silly am i feel terrible i have ruined my chances by doing something stupid.

Don't get too down!!! ((hugs)) Women get pregnant using a condom(they aren't always 100% effective!) and I got pregnant taking the pill(LOL!)so there is a very big chance that a few little girls made it through that gunk and made it past the goalie!!! I too used quite a bit of "stuff" this attempt. The first night I douched with lime and water 1/2 an hour before hand, used some replens and then jumped and dumped! That was 2-3 days before O as well! LOL On the second try, the next evening I used the lime douche, replens AND Sylk and then I jumped and dumped into a diva cup, put lime in it, did a replens finger and then inserted my diva cup....LOL!!!! If ANY sperm made into my uterus the second time around...I'll be SHOCKED. If I do get pregnant it'll be from our first try....but who knows if those poor replens covered sperm lived the 2-3 days they needed to. So I'm kinda in the same boat but who knows! We may get our bfp's soon!!! xoxo

That said I am glad it seems like your timing is now going to be better for this next round (IF you need it!) and that is a plus. I wish I knew when I got my BFPs with my others! DD1 I was already about 8 weeks when I took a test :rofl: DD2 it was after AF didn't show ... we weren't exactly trying so I wasn't really sitting around waiting to test. Unlike now, when I think about it at least 731 times a day :bigsmile:

Doula totally understand about wasting Tests on BFNs. Im a clomid girl remember so I have def had my fair share of BFN's!! Hopefully 12dpo will give you your BFPINKP!

Awwww....you're so sweet! Fat lady is singin' now, lol! I'm 13dpo, should have gotten AF at 10 - 11dpo....OMG, I must be such a head case to have alllllll those symptoms and no BFP...DH is wondering if I had a chemical but I think I would have gotten a BFP before I started bleeding. I think those symptoms were just residual stress from the sad dog issues, and then trying really hard to squeeze BD in, etc. The nails are such a mystery though...stupid nails!!! Honestly, right now I feel good....I feel relief. It was just a really hard month for us and adding TTC into the mix just pushed us full tilt. I'm hopping back on the Vitex express now! Just hope my cycle shortens b/c I want to be back here in the 2ww soon!

Don't worry about how accurate your temps are right now...just try to keep it up and you'll find yourself falling into a good rhythm. You'll be amazed when you look back at at your chart a month from now. You'll see trends! BTW, I'm barely Aries and I consider myself more of a Pisces (but I'm not as creative as you!!!).

Doula I think that you may have a better chance then me but good luck, I was going crazy with the acigel, pretty much every time i saw my ph go to a 5.75 i would use some to bring it down... But pretty much it was every 4 hrs i would use some. I think i would of killed them right after dtd about 10 mins after we did it i used some. Anyway GREAT lesson learnt yesterday! So i am now 1 dpo. Hi ladies - I'm not sure whether or not I should join you yet since O is totally confusing me this month. This is my first month taking Vitex and also my first month no longer bf ds3 (he was only nursing once a day, though, so it wasn't a huge change). O normally comes on cd12, which was yesterday. Two days ago my OPKs started getting darker right on time, then suddenly went completely negative - like no test line at all. Since then, the test line has returned but is still quite light, so I'm hoping maybe just maybe I'll get a + later today. Cervix is very open and soft, so I'm hoping that's a sign that O hasn't arrived. My worry is that I somehow missed my surge and have already O'd.

I'm not worried about our attempt timing since we're doing frequent BD and have dtd every day since af ended, but I am worried about whether or not I should stop the Vitex and Saw Palmetto. If I stop it now just in case O already happened (though I don't think it has), will it affect my attempt should O actually come tomorrow or the next day?

Of course, my body is playing tricks on me. I feel like I have to pee about every 5 minutes, which has always been an early pregnancy symptom for me. My right breast is also really sore. Is it possible to still have a wide open cervix (like so far open I could stick a whole fingertip in there) and already have O'd? I don't temp so I can't use that as a back-up.

Mochagirl it sounds like your body was gearing up to O and then maybe didn't ... which would explain the opk's getting lines again. I would keep POAS to try to find that surge! My cervix closes up pretty soon after O; it has NEVER (in the 9 months I've been playing this game) stayed open like that past O. Sounds to me like your O is yet to come. Sorry your body is messing with you! These supps can be real buggers!

I posted on our team blue thread that I didn't test this am ... I had a dream this am (one of those where you wake up a minute and fall back to sleep, but think you're still awake so are SURE the dream is real, KWIM??) that I got a BFP this am, and I was really upset about it. So I decided just to forgo testing this am. I am conflicted about whether I want a BFP or not at this point! We only tried this cycle bc it was my bday and I was O'ing and it seemed fun, and I like the idea of being 33 still at delivery. But I'll miss out on some fun this summer if I'm pg now! AND .. this is the big part, I'm really a bit sad that this will be our last, so once it starts, I know I'll never get to do this again. And that is bittersweet. So anyhow... I think I can see bright sides to either outcome, BFP or BFN, but I just didn't want to test. Plus I'm only 9 DPO so really on the early side! We'll see how I feel tomorrow morning!

Thanks, Begonia - it was definitely a different experience from my induced 27 hour labour under epidural and emergency c-section I had with my twins! It was wonderful to feel good seconds after giving birth. I was home from the hospital 2 hours after he was born!

I think I agree that I haven't O'd yet. I think the vitex, SP and stopping breastfeeding have all conspired together to mess up my cycle :). I've been holding my pee all morning and am going to do another test soon. I even bought the expensive digital ones this time!

I am still getting cramps on the left side... I dont know how it could be anything because i am only 3dpo. and kind of feels like i am getting af but then goes away. Begonia i will not be testing until about 12dpo aswell as i have long cycles on 31 days With ds my bfp only showed up the day i was due for af which was only a faint line and i had a chemical preg last month which i took a test when i was 2 days late for af and i had a pink line so i will be leaving it for a while otherwise i will be spending ALOT of money on tests when if there was a bfp wouldnt show up anyway! I LOVE being pregnant, I LOVE giving birth and I love newborn, cuddly, lovey babies. I know that 9 months goes by so fast and I can see myself going late at the end simply because my body/mind won't want it to be done....I can see myself totally crying during labour because of that aspect. It makes me want to cry now! ~tears~ This is why I can have him do anything drastic until baby is 1 year...sterilization is a HUGE step. I'd love to talk to moms of 5 and see what they find the difference is between 4 and 5...hmmmm....LOL

Anyway, Weird dream!!! Hmmm...I wonder if this means you're knocked up? LOL When will you test? I hope that it turns out exactly as you'd hoped:)

AFM- I've been having weird twingy, stabby stuff going on in my uterus/cervix....Hmmmm. My cm is creamy, I have no clue what my temps mean...cause I've never done it before...LOL and I have a few zits:) Fantastic. I go from constipated to the runs in one day. 7 more sleeps until I test. ARGHHHH! That is forever! Where's my time machine! I wish I had a hot tub;)

I'm 6dpo tonight;) I think I ovulated in the evening on the 16th or very early hours on the 17th. If I test in 7 sleeps I'll be a full 12dpo which should be good enough for a + if I'm pregnant. Or I'll get AF on 11dpo which will save me a test;)
I honestly have ZERO problem not being pregnant this cycle.....I really want to go to that conference! LOL So, does that up my chances of being pregnant?....murphy's law seems to hit me when I'm down, most of the time...hahaha!

jjc - I don't know about SP but I am taking Vitex. I noticed that when I was taking Vitex, my temps rose but when I stopped, they weren't high. I'm thinking you may need to take a test soon. Climbing temps at this point is certainly a good thing! I sooooo hope you get your sweet girl out of the blue!

OOTB I am testing on Monday (10dpo) I know it's early but I really won't be able to hold out much longer than that. I am too armed with IC and FRER so if I get a BFN I can keep testing until AF.

Ok, I think I can officially join you ladies now. OPK was still + this morning, but now cervix is feeling a lot more firm and cm has become sticky/creamy. The 2WW is on. I ordered a bunch of cheapy tests because I tend to be a POAS addict. I got my BFP at 8dpo with my twins, but I recently went back to find my old post at IG because I thought I remembered having an early BFP with ds3 too, but it was 11dpo. Anyway, I'll be chomping at the bit to poas, because I'm going to eat the biggest, saltiest, protein-filled meal as soon as I see those two lines!!! :bigsmile:

I've decided to POAS on Sunday night....maybe Monday am..... we'll see....LOL I can't say that I really want to be pregnant at the moment and I wish I could rewind the last 10 days and have a do-over...but that's not gonna happen :wink: I got pregnant with all 3 of my boys on the first try(well other than DS1 :suprise: whoops!) so we'll see if that luck holds out.

My period was due 6/21-6/22. I usually have a 29 day or so cycle. I am on day 32. I ovulated late though this month around 23-25, I usually ovulate around day 16-17. My period still has not yet come and my temps are still pretty high. So I am about 8 or 9 dpo past ovulation I guess? I am probably going to try testing tomorrow. Mine you I wasn't even trying this month and I was going to take a break form swaying until next year...lol

Oh so I totally did the OPK and it was neg (I used a smiley) but when I popped the stick out of the holder it was pretty dark, looked just a bit fainter than they do when positive. I'll take another one tomorrow and keep the science experiment going... so used to peeing on things at this point a day wouldn't feel complete without at least one stick in my ******, lol!

Oh and DM I was totally laughing to myself at lunch today with my parents when I remmebered your "Tom Cruise style" congrats, lol! We need a couch jumping smiley, that would be amazing!

I hope you're having a great time with your parents! So, your hubby is away? How are you going to tell him??!!! My friend put a bun in the oven...told her hubby to get "dinner" out of the oven.....he was a little confused and then it dawned on him :)

Well, I tested today, this afternoon(almost 8dpo I think...doh!~forehead connects with desk~) WAY TOO EARLY...and got a BFN. I've been cramping all morning.....like I'm going to get my period any minute. I also have B.A.D. PMS. Like, REALLY bad PMS. So bad I think I may have to leave the house when my hubby gets home just so I can unwind from all the screaming and yelling I've done in my house today...maybe Starbucks.... ~sigh~ I'm sincerely hoping that this is truly PMS because if this is what the pregnancy is going to be like for me.....I'll put myself in the loony bin now.

Oh a cervix question....lol What is everyone's that is waiting or just got a BFP cervix doing? Soft, open, closed, high, medium, low?

For the last few days it has been really low and full feeling, but closed. Now it seems to be going up more and still closed and full.
Mine is quite low, slightly open and firm. My cm has teeny patches of egg white stringy stuff but mainly just a very small amount of creamy cm. I'm finding that after walking around for awhile with the cramping, I feel the need to check if I'm bleeding- it's a little more wet at the entrance than it has been since I O'd. Sorry.....you asked for it!!! LOL!! :wink:

I think I'll test tomorrow in the evening. I'll be around 9-10dpo so hopefully it'll show if I'm pregnant. I'm going to pick up a 2 pack and retest on Wed if af hasn't shown up.
I've had a bit more slight cramping today but nothing like yesterday. Actually, come to think of it I haven't had many symptoms at all today. I took an opk just for kicks and it's negative. There was some colour to it though. Hmmmm. I have to go pick up some tests. :wink:

Definitely get the FRER DM!!! That is what I used when I got my BFP, 10 dpo, and I took it in the afternoon. But the next day, so 11, I took a CBE digital ... and it said "not pregnant." The CBE caught it at 12 dpo. So if you're testing earlier I would grab the FRER; in my experience they are more sensitive. The Tom Cruise of pregnancy tests, if you will :bigsmile:

Ok I feel so PG it is unreal. Sore boobies, mega nausea, bloated the works. I am testing tomorrow (10dpo with FRER). In a way I wish I didn't feel like this as I know I'm going to be mega disappointed if this month turns out to be a BFN! I know if it is negative tomorrow then all is not lost and it can still be too early but, I WANT IT TO BE POSITIVE SO MUCH! Wish me all luck Girlies.

You know, it's just so much more difficult to get preg swaying pink...we try to do everything we can to make it sooo difficult for the little guys/gals to actually get to the egg...I'm thinking I'll cut down on the Sylk this next try. We used A LOT b/c I was so freaked out and I've quit checking pH (it stresses me too much). I'm really hoping you nail your girl on this first try! It just takes one persistent little XX/XY to crack that eggie. If you have any twin dust of any color, I'll take it off your hands, lol! We would love 4 kiddos but this will be our last pregnancy since I'm an older Mama and I just get waaaaay to sick when I'm preg. FX for you! :cheer:

Ok gals! I have a few minutes to post- family has been visiting all weekend. I went and bought 3 different kinds of tests. One step, clearblue(nondigi) and FRER. I held my urine for 6 hours and tried all 3. The FRER had NOTHING. The clearblue had what I think is something. The step one had nothing. I put them away and checked 30 mins later and they both had blue evap lines. Is that normal with those tests? I'm not convinced I'm pregnant yet. I'll test once more late tonight and then in the mid morning. I took some pics so I'll post them in a bit when hubby isn't watching;)

Hmmm...I always go by a Mama's intuition first:) If you think you O'd on either of those 2 days I would stick with it. I'm not a temping wiz though...LOL

Ok....haven't tested yet....have some cramps that are lot like af cramps right now. Temp also dropped this am...although I was up at least 5 times putting my 3yo back in his bed, and then only got 1.5hrs of sleep before I took my temp. I don't know how much stuff like that affects the accuracy. It's about .5F above coverline. I checked my cervix last night and it was softer then usual for this time of the month, plus I had some weird looking cm.....kinda white/yellow stringy, snotty...ick! If I weren't TTC I would think that AF is on her way just from the cramps alone.....so we'll see in a bit:) Although it'll be sad to see a BFN or get AF today I'm actually totally relieved that it's most likely not our month. I'm waiting eagerly to buy my conference ticket right now.....LOL I sound like a horrible person.... :(

Oh my goodness DM, I can't stand the suspense (and I'm not even officially part of this thread lol!). Are you going to post the photos or are they somewhere else?

DM - Blue dye is really unreliable from what I've heard so you'd want pink dye or a digi w/a BFP on it to make sure. From the sounds of things, I think you're headed to the conference! And, NOOOOO, you don't sound like a horrible person, lol! KUP on what shakes out!

As for charting, usually (usually but not always) your temp goes down right before you start AF. Alexis, FF did the same thing to me last cycle...changed it on me 2x!!! I was really annoyed! Your temp usually goes up significantly after you O and that way, you can usually tell if you Oed or not. I couldn't tell for sure w/my chart last time since everything was a mess. I'm hoping regardless of what day you Oed that you get your BFP!!! Sending you BLUE DUST!

BTW, who the h*!! knows when I'll O again...I think it'll be July 12 - 15th (per FF) but the bad part is that DH will be out of town from July 5th to 11th so it's not looking so great as far as TTC this next round...More waiting on top of lots of waiting. Maybe in August we can make it happen...??? I cheated on my diet this weekend b/c I was so fed up w/everything and the fact that it probably won't happen any time soon. I'm going to have another talk w/my body and convince them to O before DH leaves...Maybe they can pop out an eggie or 2 at the right time.

Ok well I tested this morning 10dpo and BFN. Was a bit upset to be honest but still early so not giving up hope. I am wondering whether it's the weather making me feel so nauseas! :-(

Doula I would trust the FRER as they are much more sensitive than the blue dye tests.

Im not testing tomorrow going to hold out until 12 DPO now as I can't stand the heat ache!

Don't give up hope, 3boys - 10dpo is still very early. I think it's a good idea to wait 2 days before testing again if seeing a BFN brings you down so much. I think 12dpo sounds like a great testing day - good luck!

I was going to post photos but I don't want to obsess!! LOL I just took another ClearBlue....I know they're unreliable but I have one left and I want to use it before I use my last FRER....and I can see the faintest of lines after 5-10 mins. Yesterday I saw nothing until 30mins later, which to me means an evap line. I have pretty constant cramps right now but AF isn't showing yet...not even spotting. I don't spot much anyway, but I ALWAYS start to bleed pretty much as soon as the AF cramps hit(like within minutes). I'm so frickin confused right now! I just want to know already! I think I'm going to used my FRER later today when I have really held my urine for over 4+ hours. It was blaring BFN yesterday so can it actually change that quickly to light line in 24 hrs? Would it be best to wait 48? I hate this.....

DM - Blue dye is really unreliable from what I've heard so you'd want pink dye or a digi w/a BFP on it to make sure. From the sounds of things, I think you're headed to the conference! And, NOOOOO, you don't sound like a horrible person, lol! KUP on what shakes out!

As for charting, usually (usually but not always) your temp goes down right before you start AF. Alexis, FF did the same thing to me last cycle...changed it on me 2x!!! I was really annoyed! Your temp usually goes up significantly after you O and that way, you can usually tell if you Oed or not. I couldn't tell for sure w/my chart last time since everything was a mess. I'm hoping regardless of what day you Oed that you get your BFP!!! Sending you BLUE DUST!

BTW, who the h*!! knows when I'll O again...I think it'll be July 12 - 15th (per FF) but the bad part is that DH will be out of town from July 5th to 11th so it's not looking so great as far as TTC this next round...More waiting on top of lots of waiting. Maybe in August we can make it happen...??? I cheated on my diet this weekend b/c I was so fed up w/everything and the fact that it probably won't happen any time soon. I'm going to have another talk w/my body and convince them to O before DH leaves...Maybe they can pop out an eggie or 2 at the right time.

That would suck to just miss it or only have one day...could your hubby release daily while he's gone and then you could give your best shot when he gets home? Or wait until 5 mins before he leaves and jump on him...;) I wouldn't use too many sperm killers if you're hoping they live long, though;) I'd say you still have a chance this cycle! It's the cycles that seem impossible to get pregnant that end up being the ones!

I have totally heard of pink lines coming up on the FRER after the time allowed and have them turn into a true BFP in a days time!!! I'm totally hoping this is it for you!!

I have zero patience....so I went and POAS- FRER. It's negative...very negative. I'm exactly 10dpo at around noon today. You would think it would show by now...but I guess sometimes it shows up 11-12dpo.....
Looking at my chart I started to dry up on the 17th in the evening, so I'm thinking that I O'd a bit earlier in the day. If the tests show nothing tomorrow night, I'm going to be booking a flight! Yippee!! And if they do....I'll be just as happy:)

Doula I TOTALLY get what you're saying about hoping for a BFN this month bc that was exactly where I was ... clearly it didn't work out for me, so I hope it does work out for you! DH was pretty shocked too. I mean we shouldn't be. We DTD unprotected the day I o'd, and we have 1 DD we got while on BCPs, and 1 DD we got the 1st month off of them, so.... clearly we have gotten pg easily in the past. But for some reason both of us seemed to think we could be frisky and get away with it, LOL. I'm not as excited about my BFP as I should be, but I'll get there for sure.

3boys that sounds pretty promising to me!!!! When will you test again?!?! I will say I'm with Mocha, if a BFN will get you down wait it out... as hard as that is.

Alexis the whole FF/temping thing is not at all in my realm of knowledge, but I agree ... trust your own intuition over FF. And at this point, what's done is done, especially if you end up with a BFP!

Ummm....I took one at 12pm and I just looked at mine a few hours later and I have an evap on that one too.....Is it common with pink dye tests???

Why can't everyone in the house just stay healthy the week after I ovulate???!

DM i used the first response preg test last month, I used it when af was a day late and i got a faint pink line. I then used it again the next am and got a darker line but then 3 hrs later i got af so i would def use first response again but i really believe dont give up hope until af is due as i have had one preg and one chemical and both have only showed up the day after i was due for af. As for me this month i am 7 dpo and my boobs are KILLING me they are so sore and full. I had alot of cramps last night like i was going to get af early i am not due for af until either the 5th or 6th of july. Would just love to know if there is anything exciting going on inside my body ..

Pinkin, the boobs were a sure sign for me! It hit about 8 dpo where they were sore (mostly nipples) and I could just feel them all the time, like you said ... full. FX for you!! Will you wait for AF or test early?

Pink, I didn't have any cramping really ... no as I type that I take it back. I did have some, but it wasn't a ton, and it wasn't strong. I had minimal. Enough that I could have written it off, KWIM? I remember one was strong and it was at 6 DPO. I just remember it b/c I was at a party and talking to someone and REALLY noticed it.

All this BFP talk is making me excited about when I get to say that.... So far everything is falling into place for me to O on July 1st so by my little sisters birthday I should know! When I tell hubby I am going to say I want chicken strips and cole slaw, which is the only thing I wanted (didn't crave it was the only thing I could eat) while pregnant with the boys. It would be funny to see if he figures it out! But then again he was the one with the craving so maybe he will know before I test.

Temp dropped one whole degree F in the past 2 days and although I don't know much about temping the drastic plunge down looks like af will be coming today...or tomorrow. I'm actually quite pleased that my luteal phase is getting longer:) And pretty stoked that I'll most likely be going to that Conference!!( Although, when I saw that temp this am, I got the overwhelming feeling that I shouldn't go and I should instead try for my April baby, which is what I've been talking about since DS3 was born...I'm kind of confused because I thought I would be over the moon to go...and now I don't know what the hell to do).
I haven't tested this am because it's most likely negative and if there is a hint of a line, with the temp drop, it's most likely chemical. Would you guys agree?


Anyway, I'll let you know if AF arrives....LOL

jjc I totally get the enjoying your time with your LO instead of thinking about the next. Part of me is still a bit bummed that I'm pg already since this will be our last one and I was really enjoying that I had "one more" to look forward to. But I'm going to enjoy my pregnancy and not be mopey about it! OH - FWIW, I got pg with both of my girls while training for marathons. DD1 I got pg about 2 weeks after completing one; DD2 I was running about 40-50 miles a week when I got pg. Have you seen the article on here re: runners having more girls? It could be a good part of your sway to do that 1/2! Go you!

Yeah I did :( sorry. Strong ones 7 and 8dpo and also on 10 dpo(day before af). I also had a temp dip right around 7dpo as well. I really thought I was preggo on certain days- others not so much. Don't give up hope til af shows:) (hugs)

Sorry you're feeling down, DM and pinkin. I'm 5dpo now and I don't feel any symptoms. I had some cramping over the weekend, but it seems to be gone now. I had some yellowish, creamy cm yesterday, but it's back to normal today too. I have a feeling this isn't my month. I've decided that if I end up with af, I'm going to treat myself to a special non-diet meal that night to make me feel better. It'll make me not dread her arrival so much and will help get me ready to face another month of the diet.
