4 weeks + 5 days = NOTHING on U/S

Well, just like the title says. My Dr wanted to do an u/s yesterday so I went in at 4 weeks, 5 days and there was NOTHING. Not a sac, no fetal pole, no NOTHING. I left so confused. Aren't you supposed to be able to at least see a sac by 4 weeks?? I went in for bloodwork today and should have the results back tomorrow and I have another u/s scheduled for next Tuesday.

I asked him if it was just too early and he shrugs and says, "Maybe." Maybe?! I wanted to shake him what is that supposed to mean. :(

Do you ladies think it could just be too early or should I not get my hopes up?

It's way too early. Why did he have you do a scan then?? Your HCG has to be over a certain level to see ANYTHING on u/s. 4 weeks is way too early.

Thank you!!! It's amazing how hearing those words from someone else, someone that is a neutral party, makes me feel 10x better.

I had a miscarriage already this year and I've been on progesterone and clomid for the last 3 months and trying over a year to conceive so he wanted to see if everything was OK. I was shocked when he said there was nothing. He did say I had a nice thick lining so yay for that. Hope there is more next week!

I saw you post before about brown spotting- I think that can be a great implantation sign. I would assume all is well! If you had bleeding or bad betas, that's one thing but if all is normal, it's just really early! Like just missed your period early!!

Thanks NBP - received my hcg levels today, just 91, no wonder we couldn't see anything! I'm mentally preparing myself for another loss....

I'm so sorry mis2ninos...I really thought this was my month too as AF is almost 2 weeks late but I started spotting today and i think AF is in its way.
I think I just had a wacky month with all the supplements I have been taking to help my liver.
What's up with us??? What are we missing??? This is so frustrating!!

Try not to worry and have a transvaginal scan round 6 weeks xx

Thanks sweetie but I took two tests today and the second line was barely there :( I've started spotting pink so I hope it just happens this weekend where I can be at home. I would have been 5 weeks yesterday. Devastated. . I've been trying to keep my inbox clean but it keeps filling up. That will e a good project for me to do this weekend to keep my mind off things. Would like to hear from you.

My obvious pregnancy symptoms took a sharp drop off on Thursday when the spotting began. AF came this morning and it hurts. I think I was prego because it has been 6 weeks since my last AF and i"m usually never late.

Hang in there...this is so hard and harder still that we have to keep it to ourselves IRL.

Sorry to hear this.It happen to me as well.I was not TTC at the time.I had just started a very manual job and was feeling a bit odd with a really bad back...went to the doctors and found out I was pregnant. I was about 6 weeks they think.My af had been all over the place due to steroids,hence why thought nothing of no af.I got sent for a scan the next day and there was nothing!I had a m/c a few days later.I hope you feel better soon xxx
