I've been on the LE Diet now for 6 weeks- Woo! Early on I was sticking to 1300ish calories and lost weight FAST, like 10lbs in 4 weeks. Now I've bumped it up to 1500 calories but my problem is that I don't have my period/fertility. Now the other part of the story is I am weaning my 6 month old and have been weaning him since I started the LE diet. He only breastfeeds twice a day now , once around 5-6am and the other time at 5pm- so 12 hours between feedings. I still don't have my period! :hair: I don't want to take Vitex since I've always had regular periods and since I am still breastfeeding, I don't want to take it and him have a bad reaction to it, so that's out. DH and I want to TTC in Feb/March next year so I don't have that much to to get my fertility up and running again! Does anyone have any advice as to how I can get ovulation starting again? Is it because I lost so much weight? Do I need more calories? I'm 5'2 and weigh about 135 lbs so my BMI is fine lol!

5-2 and 135 should not be making you stop ovulating, I think it's a one-two of nursing and the quick weight loss. My advice is Vitamin P - patience. I suspect your ovulation is going to come back on its own shortly.

Are you still losing weight? You may want to temporarily bump it up to more like 1700-1800, but the thing I worry about is that if your body is reluctant to O right now, if you bump it up to start ovulation, then cut back again, O may go missing again, if that makes any sense. So if you do go that route, please don't go down to 1300, I really don't recommend that for most people and certainly not for anyone breastfeeding.

ARe you ok on fat?? remember, you need to be eating some fat - you can't go completely fat free, that can stop ovulation even if cals are ok
